Although I LOVE the styling and performance of my 2010 XF, I have almost spent as much in repairs as the purchase price of the car. Chasing oil leaks, transmission reprogramming, fuel pump leak, fixing bent rims, to gear shift lever not popping up, the clear coat fading and numerous other issues. Now I'm looking at a timing chain replacement. It has spent as much time in the shop as it's spent on the road. Besides all that, it still excites me every time I hit the start button and hope that the gear shift selector actually pops up and hear all 385 horses come to life. When I enter a highway and passing 75 MPH without a hitch it excites me. Or when I'm climbing HWY 50 into the Gold Country with what feels like unlimited power it's BAD A$$! The power and torc of this car is impressive. And the design and styling is head turning. I've only seen a few XF's around town. But I see a thousand Mercedes and BMW's at every intersection. This is my forever hot rod, despite the the issues that haunt this car. It's a love hate relationship. I have cursed out this car many times, but I love her. If you're thinking about purchasing one of these beware and be ready for a frustrating relationship.

Be careful. I owned a 3.0 s black edition 2010 model. It ended up costing me 45% of the purchase price over 2 years of ownership.
The alternator went and jaguar charged 900 UK pounds to replace it. Then I had multiple issues with leaks on the intake system. Look up the common issues it's quite frightening.
The last straw for me was when the inlet manifold which is made of plastic cracked and it's an 8.5 hour job to replace it, and you have to trace both sides.
I had issues with the wiring and the drivers side electric window and various sensors failing.
The suspension needs refreshing after so long as the rubbers deteriorate and you cannot just replace the rubber bushes.
@@davefrance3721100$ a month doesn’t seem so bad tbh. New VW golf will loose that much and more in value. New premium sedan like this Jag or Bmw 5, v8, will easily loose how much? 500$ a month? At least that much probably. Maybe close to 1000$ for the first 2 years?

Canguru & Coala - Canal do Jobs My apologies I’m just seeing this comment. But I love the car so much! It’s a smooth ride and extremely luxurious. It is great quality! Nothing feels cheap. And if you like a little fun, the engine will give you all the fun and adrenaline you need! It is beautiful as well. Words really can’t explain how amazing this vehicle is.

U can get some 2009-2010 models under 30k
217 mph under 30k?? You can find 2010s for under 10k and if you find a great deal even just over 8k

My Jaguar S-Type was. Many ford parts in in it. My XF does not have any Ford parts anymore.
@@Czestnut The frame the 2008-2015 XF uses is a modified Ford DEW platform that debuted in the Lincoln LS. It was also used for the 2002-2005 T-Bird. The S type used this platform too.
