    Those that dislike American cars have to admit cadillac is doing it right. These things look great and I'm sure they'll perform great also. Now that the ATS-V is revealed we have an idea of what the CTS-V is gonna look like, I can't wait I'm freakin pumped!

    • @TheIrishSpectre
      @TheIrishSpectre 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      OMGKainz Care to share what they're doing wrong as far as the cars go? I won't disagree completely,some of the stuff de Nysschen is pulling at corporate (see changing the name scheme, moving the headquarters, etc.) doesn't strike me quite right. But if Cadillac keeps producing cars like the ATS, CTS, and their respective V-series entries, they're going to have a very solid base from which to poach market share from the Germans.

    • @OMGKainz
      @OMGKainz 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      TheIrishSpectre i can't speak for this 2015 line yet but in the past looking at old ctsv's and escalades the quality of a car that you get for the price you pay is ridiculous. you pay the same price for a high end Mercedes you can be sure it will last a whole lot longer and the quality of European cars are way better american cars for example, the gear box on a 2006 ctsv makes me want to kill myslef compared to a c63 amg

      Im a die hard bmw fan and agree this car loos very promising. Might have to test drive one when it gets here. Im still waiting for the C63 and ATS-V to make a purchase decision to replace the old e92 m3.

    I'm just curious as to why it took them so long to build this car. The biggest problem with American auto manufacturing has to be stagnate management. In addition to poor design studios. They have shown for decades that quality was never something they sought for, only maximum profit on the least amount of expenditures. Our own magazines, Car & Driver, Road & Track, Motor Trend, amongst others have always pointed out the biggest flaws in American cars. Those articles always seemed to have fallen on deaf ears.
    Quality build, enticing design characteristics, and bold performance are not topics normally associated with American cars. It's finally nice to see that, yes, we too can build something that gets the blood pumping. The new Mustangs, and Camaro's, have improved tenfold over previous generations. The new Stingray is also a daring product, like the Caddy. But, after decades of building crap, finally building a few nice cars for a few years is not long enough to remove the stigma that has shrouded the American automotive industry. I hope to see an overall improvement in the final product of our vehicles, so that ours can be compared to the best of theirs, and stand proud.

    • @Sawashi32
      @Sawashi32 9 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      In my opinion, most American cars have improved tremendously in the last four years or so. It wasn't long ago that the number of American cars I'd be caught dead in could be counted on one hand. Now the only new models I lust are all American cars. I can honestly say that my next car will be American, but I will have a tough time deciding between a GM, Ford or Chrysler because they are all putting out fresh, attractive new models that are very competitive and capable of raising more than a few peoples pulses. I also could name a lot more American cars than you did that are very competitive in their segments and look and perform just as good as the competition. It seems almost every week a new American car is introduced that I just have to have (i.e. this week Cadillac ATS-V, last week Corvette Z06). European and Japanese is just blahhh, same old same old. I currently own two newer Japanese cars.

    I'd prefer the ATS-Coupe with the LT1 naturally aspirated V8. The upcoming Camaro SS, if they nail the styling, will therefore be my choice. Can someone explain the use of the V6 turbo here over the cylinder deactivated LT1? Fuel mileage would look to be similar, output, the V8 would offer more torque and slightly better horsepower. How do the two engines compare in terms of production costs?

      @Sawashi32 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      It takes an enormous amount of time for auto manufacturers to implement changes to a specific model. They have to design, test, change the assembly process etc... Plus the competition only knows as much as we know about the car since they only have information based on media coverage and photos.

    ATS V should be priced at around $55k to be competitive with Ze Germans. Cadiallc has to exceed the performance of their rivals and do it at a nice discount if they want this to be successful. I'd be a buyer if it can be had nicely equipped for sub $60k.

    I can't believe this guy's is taking shots at BMW. Cadillac is a good brand but saying comments about the brake package is pretty. Just one of a few cheap shots. The brakes that the other brands like BMW offer aren't too make it track ready. They are to make it so you don't go through brakes everyone you decide to hit the track. And a twin turbo 6 cylinder? There isn't anything about the ats or cts v that seem to be GM ideas. GM should focus on something else BMW doesn't focus on them at all. They aren't seen as competition.

    • @Vizenz121_OR
      @Vizenz121_OR 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly the only one of their ideas on the CTS-V was the pushrod V8. But now GM is going the turbocharged route. GM just copies what other companies are doing. Their 2.0T for example was heavily copied from Saab and so on... Saab actually developed many chassis components for the newer Epsilon cars too. GM isn't original like it used to be. GM just copies companies now and it's kind of sad. They started getting greedy and money hungry in the 80's when their build quality was really terrible and then in 2000 they fully purchased Saab and they've been copying mocking other European companies since then.

      ***** every car company has jumped onto the turbo bandwagon. GM was just a little late. they really weren't "copying" with the turbo v6 idea

    • @Vizenz121_OR
      @Vizenz121_OR 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lincolnlsgt GM is copying forced induction turbocharging in general. GM actually did it first but their system was not very good and then Saab began creating systems like blow off valves and such and it really took off. Saab were the ones who should really get the credit because they made the systems like we still do to this day and Saab really did much more development work on it. Audi copied soon after and then every automaker started doing it. Saab technology is based on Scania systems by the way.
      Right. What makes this 3.6T different then their 2.0T's is that it was 100% designed by GM themselves. Previous turbocharged power plants implemented so much Saab technology it was ridiculous. But now GM seems to be separating themselves from that, which is good. However the 2.0T and Epsilon architectures as well as their 6 spd manual on Opels and such still remain very Saab influenced.

      Late lol? gm had the FIRST EVER production turbo car and it was 1962. If anything every other company was late to the party. I guess that means they all copied GM.

    • @hesayad1055
      @hesayad1055 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** yea...but how many did they produce AFTER that? exactly. yes they did it first, but they never really expanded on it. import companys have been doing it religiously for 20+ years now, while american car companies would throw in a turbo every now and then just for fun.

    Nice car, but I hope it comes with an automatic. The combination of a Cadillac and a manual transmission is an oxymoron to me. So, to all you purists, I do not shift any car costing over $10,000, it ain't happening.

      It's too bad that you want the car to do the driving for you. Real car enthusiasts always want a manual. That's why my CTS-V has a manual.

    I absolutely hate the interior of this thing, but I'll probably end up buying this over an M3. That plastic coated piano black center console and CUE system suck royally. That plastic is going to scratch like a mofo from anything that touches it... just like all plastics.

  • @johnnewchannel6505

    if u ask me twin turbo just sounds like twin problems, go back to real natural horsepower, no superchargers, no turbos, no nitro just all engine trust me u wont be dissapointed..

    • @vernonprice5986
      @vernonprice5986 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      EPA regulations. Cars are required to meet regulatory standards for emissions and MPG, which is why they're all going forced induction now. But no, twin turbos are not twin problems. This isn't the 1980s any more.

    Most of the ideas are taken directly from the m4! Wtf Cadillac!? And it looks heavy! Even though GM are saying this will "destroy the m4", I doubt it highly because there's no way this will be as good to drive as the corvette and as said by evo magazine and auto blog Netherlands " the can just has too much roll, too much dive, weak chassis and bad gearbox! It's a win win for BMW as of now!!

      Where have you been all these years. Cadillac ATS and CTS are outhandling BMW and the competition. You are just a bias BMW fanboy, lol.

    • @pranavmukesh
      @pranavmukesh 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      johnls39 lol no! Read auto expresses review of the ats, as said by auto express "the ats coupe is not as sharp as the 4 series!" And also as said by Matt Farah him self, "for this kind of money, I'd rather have the BMW"! So you're just a Cadillac fanboy who can't accept the truth!

    • @johnls39
      @johnls39 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Pranav Mukesh Yes, you are right, I am a Cadillac fanboy but I am not loyal to any brand same as for Cadillac. I like Luxury cars in general. What I am saying is, which I should had said before, that the ATS Coupe had raved reviews and almost all critics said that the ATS Coupe handled better than the German competition. Now keep in mind before saying other wise that the ATS coupe have two different suspension setup, stock and magnetic ride control suspension, which is only available on the Premium collection. Auto Express probably had the ATS with the stock suspension or they did not use all of the modes on the Magnetic Ride Control suspension like some critics who are more bias towards the German brands. So therefore, you are in denial. Read up on the other ATS reviews and see for yourself.

    • @pranavmukesh
      @pranavmukesh 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      johnls39 yes the american auto journliasts have proved biased once again! And no it was the magnetic ride equipped ats! And even auto bild has said the ats is not as good as the standard 3 or 4 series!

      JD Power said Cadillac is the 3rd most reliable brand in the world. More reliable than almost all German and Japanese companies. You seem to be stuck in the past when Cadillacs weren't reliable. It's not the 1980s any more.

      Vernon, I respect your opinion, yet must tell you I myself ? current owners particularly of the CTS 5 years or newer and found reliability is of the 80's, if you currently own a GM or soon will I wish you the best of luck.

      Car Deologist I own a 2011 CTS-V with 70k miles on it, and it's fine. no problems, no squeaks or rattles, no nothing. It's solid, it's quiet, it's reliable, I drive it every day. Considering my experience is vastly superior to yours. Does that change your opinion? It should, if you are open minded enough to accept proof that contradicts your opinion.
      If not, then you're just irrationally biased and your opinion is based on misinformation.
