Hi James. The performance in Fukuoka wasn't the only ever performance of Bittersweet Symphony. I was lucky enough to witness Noel play it in Frankfurt in late November that same year.
Pretty sure Chipper was one of the very first things I downloaded from "The Internet" (Limewire), probably found it searching for rare Oasis stuff. Had the box sets before that and don't think it was on there.
There's a 1-min instrumental version of Sister Lover with Noel on acoustic and Gem on harmonica, soundchecking at the Eden Project in 2009, which is gooorgeous

During Setting Sun/Fade In-Out (live at Nippon Budokan 1998) Noel sings some lyrics from the Oasis demo version of Setting Sun (Comin' On Strong) "I see animals at last now as summer starts to fall - I hear happiness abound as you stagger down the hall" or something like that.

Oasis post 00, is like the second coming , the 1st 3 albums are sublime, post 00 it's a different tempo, lyrically more mature, all 4 albums no.1 all tours , stadium events ! People who believe oasis faded after 90's are wrong , 2005 tour was the most people they ever played to on any tour, lyla followed by the importance of....... were the only time we managed 2 number one singles back to back , The greatest band in British history , the last of the greats before the internet took over /ruined music
Another Heathen Chemistry gig that is famous by Liam taking off and Noel having to do lead vocals is the one in Pompano Beach, he did One Way Road acoustic there, it's a great bootleg to hear as well.
Noel does an acoustic version of help! by the Beatles on the Be Here Now tour in Japan live at the Budokan in 1997 or 1998 maybe… that entire gig is one of my favourite oasis live sets of all time..Champagne Supernova is nearly a religious experience to listen to

What you said about The Hindu Times, that the demo version seems more personal than the "generic" final album version, I have noticed that pattern with several demos by Noel. An example that comes to mind is It's a Crime (which became Let There Be Love). And a lot of B-sides seem more personal and less generic. I remember reading an issue of Q in 2008 where there was a little blurb by Paul Weller saying he prefers the Oasis B-sides for that reason.
Oasis live at Orbit Rooms, Grand Rapids 1995 features probably the only known recording of Noel singing most of definitely maybe era songs, including "I'm the Walrus"

I love hearing the demos. I find them really interesting, there's nearly always so much potential in them. Unfortunately, more so in the later years(be here now onwards!) I feel like Noel doesn't bring out the best in them in his final versions. I always got the impression that he was weighed down by 'the oasis sound' and that he felt he had to produce a typically oasis sounding song. Before every new oasis album he'd talk about how out there or experimental the songs were but then you'd hear the finished version and it was standard oasis with any real experimentation buried or polished out.
Fun fact- The My Generation cover that was a b-side for Little by Little/She is Love comes from the 2000 Maida Vale session where the Electric Talk Tonight recording comes from
True , Whiteys drums are class, the later times they played it as last song of encore with starky , the drums again are brilliant ! He nails it big time but overall he's not aggressive enough he's too much like mccaroll , content to play base snair base snair tempo, whiteys double snairs, Tom Tom's make the sound so much faster tempo, attacking, not easy ,lazy boring pace, we had enough of that after DM and Tony mccaroll

The best solo that they produced without doubt is the shock of the lightning, utterly sublime drum solo , mccaroll got lucky he was there at the start bit he isn't anywhere near the level for the songs after DM , imagine him on be here now , he'd have a stroke before I hope I think I know even come on

Nearly ten years after the event, I am still disappointed with the High Flying Birds version of 'Revolution Song'. The Oasis demo recording sounded like a hymn of triumphant defiance. The HFB version was just ... meh.

I told you in the comments last time that the bootleg soundcheck version of Everybody's on the Run from the late Oasis time is the real version of that track, the best version, but you ignored me, obviously. That version is probably the best thing late Oasis or Noel solo ever had.

I much prefer the more prominent electric guitar which harmonises with the harmonica and adds little fills throughout. The guitar outro solo is better than harmonica from the non-demo. Teotihuacan is a perfect amalgamation of Keep What You Got and Purple Haze, if they were written in the mid-90s by Massive Attack. Great instrumental.

I told you in the comments last time that the bootleg soundcheck version of Everybody's on the Run from the late Oasis time is the real version of that track, the best version, but you ignored me, obviously. That version is probably the best thing late Oasis or Noel solo ever had.

Alice by oasis is quite a rare on I think. I think it was a song written by Liam and bonehead before Noel joined the band

I guess they didn’t release it as the melody is too much like The Beatles “I Should Have Known Better”.
I much prefer the more prominent electric guitar which harmonises with the harmonica and adds little fills throughout. The guitar outro solo is better than harmonica from the non-demo.
Stay Young The Faculty mix - It was at the end credits of the film but I am unsure if it was part of the soundtrack release.

dont think it was an actual tune. I believe Chris Griffiths wrote the original melody line to the Rocking Chair verse
