iPhone 11 Pro Max Ram Replacement - Full Process

  • In this video I find a severely smashed iPhone to have a shorted RAM module. I show the process to fix, which involves removing the shorted module, harvesting a new module, preparing the board, reballing, and eventual success.
    I can use some cleanup of my techniques. In general, my processes are very fluid and I change up the way I do things sometimes. In one video I may favor one technique and in another I may do it differently. I think the absolute most important quality in an iphone motherboard tech is adaptability.

    Aaron I’m having issues with the A13. I can do any cpu transplant except when it comes to the A13 for some reasons by the time I’ve finished lifting up the CPU the ram gets shorted and its so frustrating cause I am using the same temperature and Airflow that I use to remove A10-A12

    Can you increase the ram?

    • @iBoardRepair
      @iBoardRepair  ปีที่แล้ว

      Some bigger "pro max" models might have bigger ram, but I am not 100% sure. I know on older iphone 7, it had 2 gb ram and 7p had 3gb. In that case, you could increase the ram but I am not sure if there was any real performance increase or not.

      I always just guess with temps. It is best to just get a feel for good temps through practice.
