"The consequence of her triumph over anxiety and her trust in Allah subhanahu wa taala is an unbelievable and unconceivable transformation; Isa alayhi salaam, the one who will attend again at the end of time. This is her (Maryam alayha salaam) greatness; her vulnerability giving birth alone but her absolute obedience to the command of her Lord."
I cannot imagine the isolation she must have felt and the certainty she had to her Lord's command. SubhanAllah!

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
Re-listening to this on a Monday, the birth day of the Beloved, upon him be peace; at a time of the horrors of genocide taking place in Gaza, Palestine. The message resonates today, and remains so as we face our personal or ummatic hardships. JazakAllāhu khayr for the enduring reminders. May Allāh bless & increase Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad; his family & the community at Cambridge Mosque. May Allāh grant us all ease, steadfastness & a successful return to Him. Allāhumma āmīn.
Sometime it’s not what someone says but how he says that enters the heart to move someone to tears and I feel blessed to hear our brother deliver this calming khutba.The blessing of Allah be on you and your family .may Allah protect you and give you a long life in good health

My favorite scholar because he is not only upbeat, clear and explanatory but friendly and humble and expresses thoughts that people have that make them realize they are Muslim.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ، وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ
Allaahumma ‘innee ‘a’oothu bika minal-hammi walhazani, wal’ajzi walkasali, walbukhli waljubni, wa dhala’id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijaal
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from grief and sadness, from weakness and from laziness, from miserliness and from cowardice, from being overcome by debt and overpowered by men (i.e. others).
