Did those Rods you attach the battery come with your Titla Rig or you had to buy another longer pair of rods?
Gracias maestro.
I would love to see a full breakdown of how you built this rig. Definitely an amazing setup!
underrated channel!!
How does someone unlike a video where you're just showing us what your rig has? 🤣.... Oyyyy.... Haha.. Awesome tour Matteeeoooo!
Jealously is something else, because that's all that it is. LOL
My thoughts aswel , just how and why? 😂 😂 😂 😂
Finally. The only rig that matters.
Hi Hope all is well, do you use a tifften pro mist and Nd filter together in the matt box?
Man the couple footage looks awesome!! Congrats on the shooting and the choice of gear 👍✨✨👌🏻
Little confused about the filters wondering if you can help, if you was shooting in the evening sun but you wanted the black pro mist to soften things up but you still need the Nd filter to cut out the sun, do you change them out or use both? how do you work around that? I am not sure if the black promise do both? ive never own one yet
perfect!! ❤️
Big like for you and Florida! :-) Great rig Matteo, and just to let you know your LUT is the best! Keep doing a great work!
Congratulations on the big move!! Excited for the upcoming videos and travels.
I can tell you what I think... It's an awesome rig. And those lenses...man...
I like to stabilize by cam a bit more but yours rly look balanced and in the end it's about style so I think everyone will find his own way.
The Lenses are beautiful !
those leica r lens set are fireeeee
I have a very similar Tilta rig with the SSD holder. Tips for the screw... don’t over tighten it, and don’t try to pinch it in between your fingers to screw/uncrew it. Simply use your thumb to apply pressure and roll it in or out. Don’t worry about the cable, it won’t go anywhere. Just be sure to secure the SSD though.
Looking great in Florida, Matteo! Best of luck out there, hope I can see you again soon.
this is so good man, I will rig one just like yours. I'm lefty too. subbed!
Been waiting for this video for a while!!! You're very good at teasing content haha, great job!
Big thanks for this video Matteo! It's seems like a really close rig to what I would ideally want to build so this really helped.
Nice rig man. So apart from the monitor and lenses it is pretty much the same as the one you used on the bmpcc4k right ?
Of Two Lands thanks! The only things that are the same are batteries and matte box
How long are the support rods?
Love seeing anything involving black magic even though I can't afford it 😂
Great videos Matteo! Definitely getting that monitor.
You live in Florida now? Where about? Miami? That’s where I live - tho I am out west until Fall. Anyway. Picked up your luts the other day. Awesome work. As for the Tilta matte box...you can get better for much cheaper. Not that it’s horrible. But for 500$. You can get a used matte box that is 2-4 stages that hold both 4x5.65 and 4x4” that rotate which if you use polorizers or graded filters you can rotate them - which has always been a very important factor for me coming from film. Redrock and Genus come to mind for matte boxes you can buy used for around 50$... anyway just wanted to note that.
You will make it on TH-cam for sure!
fantastic rig Matteo!
THIS IS GREAT!
Do you also use a Stabilizing Gimbal?
If yes, what model?
What did that cost?
Can you keep your rig intact and still use the Gimbal?
Take care sir!
Hey Buddy! Great video man!! Congrats! Your work is amazing!! Was wondering where did you get the Leica lenses ? Thanks
Thanks! Got another video about those with all the info in description
@@matteobertoli thanks brother much appreciated! Another question if you don’t mind. If you had to pick one Which lens would you recommend for music videos shooting? Sorry if it sounds like a stupid question I’m fairly new at this and trying to learn as much as possible. Thanks again ! 🙏🏼
Mmm not sure depends from the mood of the video of course... hard to know without knowing what’s the story :)
Great Rig. What's the name of the lever for the follow focus? Not the wheel. Can't find one to buy alone
Awesome video. I'm looking to purchase that monitor but I wish it was powered by the Canon battery. Thanks for the info.
I need this camera right now
Thanks for sharing this! Quick question for you, how come you went with that version of mattebox vs. the other version that is swing away? Is it faster to use? Also, would you recommend tilta's new 99$ follow focus? Trying to save a little money since I'll be using better systems with a bigger rig.
Do you have a sunhood for your portkeys?
Nice!!!!!
How do you attach the Tilta V mount plate to the rods behind? What accesory?
I bought the D&O dual V mount batteries. Your code gave me $50 discount, so thanks for that! However, with the plate, I still dropped $435 on a solution I didn't know I wanted, until I watched your video, so you owe me, dude! ;-) (I also bought the Buttery LUT. Best LUT I've ever used).
For the screw on the ssd, I've found leaving it screwed in tight and just removing the SSD from the USBC plug keeps it fast and easy for SSD swaps. I don't think it was ever designed to be removable while working.
Cool setup 🙂
Hello Matteo, when you switch to the circular ND filter, it doesn't have IR cut right ? Then if you're ok to work without IR cut sometimes, does the IR cut 4x5,65 filters are really necessary ? I'm building my setup B6Kpro with Tilta and more and I'm wondering if I need the IR cut or not (like adjust the black in Resolve is ok). Thanks for all the contents you share on this channel ! Simon - France.
Screw on are ALL irnd. I’ll never use the Pocket without IR filters
@@matteobertoli Ok as it wasn't written on the filter (but just saw it now in the description) I thought they were not IR. That's cool tho ! Then you don't use the internal ND of the 6K ?
I love my pocket 4K, I hope the 6K with RF mount....
Welcome to Miami .... Nice Vid
Hi Matteo,
nice Video! I want to get some Nisi Filters too. Is it possible to Stack two Filters in the Mattebox?
Or is this a Problem with the IR CUT?
greetz
Phil
Great rig breakdown! I noticed you used the 8sinn for the 4k and you have moved to the Tilta for the 6K. Do you have a preference after using the two? Pros/Cons? I just got a 6K and its so many options out there. Thanks in advance!
hey matteo, would you suggest tilta mini followfocus and mattebox for a someone who is on budget ? that mattebox only has 1 slot for 4x5.6 nd's. so i guess i can buy one of the irnd's from your list.
or do you suggest going for ir varriable nd's something from b+w .
im still learning your lut! :)
1:28 perfectly balanced as all things should be
Hi Matteo, how did you put the donut cloth on the mattebox? I'm planning to get the same tilta matte box as yours.
Which small rods do you attach your battery On?
Awesome rig - only question I have is won’t the v mount battery make it hard for you to access the screen to change settings?
Nope!
Mateo, great vid as always. Question, what lens gears do you use with the Stratus follow focus?
downsyndromearmy55 my leica are cine mod
Nice video. Many ppl say that BMPCC 4k/6k don't carry the same look of original BMPCC due to different sensor. But looking at this video, I think that's not the case. BMPCC 6k has the same look of original BM. Please share your view if you can.
Awesome stuffs as always:) but how did you mount these vintage glass on the ef mount ?
Thanks! They are ef
great video, and rig!
Awesome man. So the lenses are canon ef mount?
Anton Anderson yep
Hi matteo, I have a question for you. Will the Leica Elmarit R 28mm work on the bmpcc 6k? Greetings and hope you are doing well.
Hey Matteo could you let us know which donut (nun's knickers) you're using with the matte box? Thank you!
Love your setup! May I ask where you got your Leica R lenses?
Chris Abad mark magnarella (silverfrancy on ebay)
Love your channel!!!
I'm looking to upgrade to this-ish (getting the 6k with minor adjustments in the rig). Would you still recommend going that tilta-route in Febuary 2022??? PS: huge fan of your channel
Yessss Tilta is best! Thank you!
@@matteobertoli that was fast, your the g.o.a.t. >:D
Also: I want your Leica lenses, they're gorgeous, ahaha
That is one awesome rig. What do you recommend for the 4x5.5 filters? I actually have the Tilta Mini Matte Box at the moment. But, I don't have any filters, yet.
VFX Todd the ones I have :)
What length is the HDMI Cable?
Ive been searching for a new camera rig and this may be it!!! Thank you for this video!! Do you edit in Premiere Pro at all? How is the raw footage handled?!
David Turk thanks! Nope, editing in davinci since 2014
Matteo Bertoli Visuals I’ve heard great things about davinci...may have to check it out! I just subbed and hit that bell. Looking forward to more videos!
Hello Matteo, I recently switched the Blackmagic 6K. I visited your website to get your contact infomation and sent you an email asking how you acheive get clean audio when recording with the Pocket 6K.
Hi Matteo, hope you are fine ! I follow you since the start and i bought Canon FD 24 and 70-200. So, i want to put lenses on my bmpcc 6k but impossible to have focus. I can do only macro shot. I bought 2 different fd to eos adapteras ( without lense ) but same thing. Do you know if it is possible to adapt or should i sell my fd’s ? Thanks in advance and cheers from France
Where can I get the Leica R?
Do you like the Nisi IRND? Any color cast in higher ND like 1.2 / 1.8 ? Thanks
Great video as always. What’s the link for the Tilta plate for the D&O battery?
iamvgregory just added in the description!
Thank you so much for this! Do you think the V1s are better then V2s? Currently I‘m looking at 35... and 39... lenses and I‘m wondering if the 30... lenses have the better characteristics
Paul i love my v1 and I think serial between 30 and 33 are the best
@@matteobertoli Thank you very much :)
I liked these is camera
oozing skill.
Is it possible to mount the side handle to the right? I see you pull focus with the right hand, i usually use the left, with the follow focus on the left. So, there's a way to mount the side handle to the right side, and the follow focus on the left?
Yes it can go either side
What’s the total cost of the rig?
I have the same question
I wanna know too
@@angelicaamora11 add the parts to your cart and see...
How you use the Leica R lens on bmpcc 6k ef mount which adopter you use for this can you share with us?
No adapter, mine are EF :)
@@matteobertoli ok thank you
Hi bro. Love the video.
I want to ask you about the lens. You said something about a company that modifies them lens at 12:16 could you kindly share a link to their website or something
CinemaTiki duclos lenses
Ciao Matteo....ti scrivo dall'Italia.
Grazie! Tutte le info qua: th-cam.com/video/j2hC80fv_-Y/w-d-xo.html
@@matteobertoli Grazie!!
Awesome rig! 🎥🔥
What do you think about the Contax Zeiss lenses, compared to the Leica?
Daniel WYNK never used but I guess Leica are on another level
Felt so happy when I read the title😂
He where can I get that cloth you have on back of Matte box on to the lens kinda like a turtle neck
I was wondering about the pro mist filter you have 1/8 do you use it every time? and would you not use 1/4 and not recommend it ? Thanks bought your Buttery lut collection loving it!
Hey! I do have the 1/4, not the 1/8
Thanks on the list its confusing cause it says 1/8 at the end but now I see when you click on it it says 1/4 Thank you
@@matteobertoli To recreate the Lecia lens look, If I'm using the sigma 18-35mm would you recommend the 1/4 or 1/8 pro mist?
Do you notice an increase in lowlight with the 6k sensor vs the 4K?
Hi, how do you power the camera with this battery pack? Is there a cable also included in this pack?
No you need to buy a dtap to 2 pin lemo
Okay, thank you!
Is it possible to have a clean feed from the 4k/6k to the Portkeys BM5?
The bmpcc4k hdmi out only outputs 1080p so you prob wouldnt want to
What cloth donut do you use with the Tilta Matte Box? I’ve been searching for a compatible one, but haven’t been able to find one.
Phillip Cozzi it’s a tilta one, the only one they sell, not for the mb t12 but sort of fit
What lenses are those again? I couldnt make it out. I saw you listed two Canon FD lenses in the description but i didnt see the 70-210 in the video.
leica r, you can only find them on ebay every once in a while
I'm about to pull the trigger on a similar rig. I'm going for the 6K, Samsung T5 SSD, Tilta Full rig and Xeen cine lens. What are you editing on if i may ask.
trzarector i wouldn’t get the xeen, probably worst lenses you can buy, sigma arts are way better if you are going for modern lenses. I have a top specs macbook pro 16” 2020
@@matteobertoli Oh really! Thats a bummer I thought the Xeens cine's were good.
How is the Mac with the 6K footage. Do you shoot in 6K?
They are bad. With my 16” macbook pro I edit 6k raw footage in a 6k timeline no problem
what do you do for audio? I don't see anything for a shotgun mic?
I usually hire a sound guy and for interviews, if I am by myself, I use wireless lavs
Hi Matteo, please could you put a link for the follow focus please? Thanx
Shark it’s in the description
Sorry I must have missed it Matteo!
why handheld vs shoulder rig?
Bought the 6kpro and think Im still getting the NISI filters🤦♂️
Hello. tell me, if I indicate in the camera the LUT built-in to the video, then if I transfer to Davinci the picture will be color or not ????
Cергей Вернега u can bake the LUT into the footage or not. Both possible
Hey. How can I transfer a LUT file to Davinci?
Hello Matteo,
Why are you saying that the small HD is too blue??
Michał Zagórski because mine is too blue, as simple as that 😂
@@matteobertoli ok, I wanted to buy small HD focus as you had one too. But now when watched your video tempting to buy portKeys ...hmmm but the 8-bit? Your thoughts please Matteo!!!
8bits?
@@matteobertoli I mean the 8-bit Color Depth for portKeys and 10-bit for SmallHD...
I didn’t even know smallhd was 10bit, absolutely not noticeable and totally useless on a 5” monitor
Is there any way to mount the tilta v mount plate vertically ?
I don’t think so, you need another plate
@@matteobertoli Ok thanks ;)
Sometimes my bm5 will zoom in when I'm changing ISO/iris settings as if I'm doing a pinch zoom. Do you run into this issue too?
Hey @@UCOYko5i4zMPwmS-68hnhIOw, I wanted to ask you what you would recommend as for vintage lenses aside from the Leica and the FDs you used to have? Maybe s set of lenses more price friendly than the Leicas, but with a good overall image quality and built, to invest on (for narrative filmmaking), or just individual ones that would go well with each other, in terms of image. I see you have moved past the FDs, so I'm guessing you learned otherwise about their image quality? Is there any other ones you have found interest in? By the way, I own a BMPCC 4K. Your comment would be much appreciated, as always. The image out of those Leicas look beautiful by the way. Reminds me of the Cookes we used to play around with in my Film School's Studio.
DId they change the Vmount Battery Plate? I got one recently and I only have 1 Dtap. All the ports are on one side. I'm sure I have the same model.
Mine looks like this tilta.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/TA-BTP-V-G-V2-example-scaled.jpg
came here for the r
this is almost identical to our rig
I'm first.. ❤️
Concering the SSD holder, you can just loosen the top screw and pull the SSD out - no need to unscrew the filthy screw in the front
That was a game changer when I figured that out. Haha!!
you're a monster!
