    Really debating if I should fix mine. Really need some advice on wether to keep it or count it as a money pit. It has 260k miles and i need to change the radiator, transmission, tuneup, front driver side suspension clunking with braking, and I think that’s about it. Already put new tires on it at the beginning of this year. I could do everything but the transmission. My goal was a clean vip look. I’ll probably make a video about it

    • @Maybe1Someday

      Idk man Im debating getting rid of mine. It’s almost everytime I go out now (dont go out much) someone dings the car or runs into it in a parking lot and drives off. Its really bizarre how unlucky the car is. I have no proof who it is I just know with a backup camera and parking sensors Im not running into anything. I have a nice new indentations of a licens plate or just bolts on the back bumper. I really cannot believe how unkind humans are. Do what you think is right man

    Where are you seeing them for $10k for low mileage? It could be timing with all the current supply issues, but everything looks expensive now. I’m considering an 06 with only 42k miles and the owner wants $17.5k. It’s in immaculate condition and that price is comparable with other listings i see nationwide for similar vehicles. It does come with some of the additional options you mentioned.

Clean carfax and driving the car feels like you're on clouds (but with the oomf of a v8 lol). The only negative is something is up with the driver side front suspension. The stereo shouldn't be a dealbreaker. For a car like this. So long as everything else is in good order, I’d rip out the stereo, and retrofit a modern system that would offer up-to-date tech in the car; along with a better backup camera and or 360 camera system.
    The newer LS models are a superior evolution in the design and tech in every metric imaginable. Seeing these cars in photos will never give you the visual and kinesthetic impact as seeing one in person and driving them. Seeing a Camry parked next to a modern LS in person, one would instantly see what the immediate differences are. With that said, for the money, an older LS430 still looks fantastic and offers huge bang per luxury buck.
    Ps. My 2019 ES 350 competes with the Mercedes E Class, is larger inside than an LS 430, has amazing comfort in the seats, heated, and vetilated, radar adaptive cruise control with lane keep assist to help reduce driving fatigue on long trips. I can remote start my car from my cell phone, and still get up to 35 mpg with 89 octane out of a naturally aspirated 302 BHP 6 cylinder engine that will be less costly to maintain than a V8 in any LS model made.
    Note: Many Lexus V8 engines have the starter placed in the center between the heads, and under a mountain of parts which drives up the service cost to replace it. On my 3.5 liter 6 cylinder, the starter is mounted on the side just under the air intake, making it a job that can be done in your driveway for the cost of the parts only.

    • @Maybe1Someday
      @Maybe1Someday  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lexus lost track in modern times, their getting back into it with the new LX600. Lexus must have watched my video because the new truck says “LEXUS” across the back, not just an emblem. They also dont make the land cruiser anymore. So just like the camry and the LS situation. They should be very distinguished. Thanks for watching

    • @bellerophon9116
      @bellerophon9116 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Maybe1Someday In some areas I suppose we’ll simply have to disagree. The interior design language of Lexus cars made in the 90s-mid 2000s hasn't aged well at all. It just looked tired and dated by today's standards. For the time, it was great, and still offers a lot features and comfort for such a discounted price point. I can see some argument for a simplistic and understated exterior vs some of the more sporty/aggressive fronts fascia designs, and sharper angled body lines that can be somewhat polarizing. But, a Lexus LS in any year if well-kept, offers some degree of stately-styled presence on the road.
      If miles of wood really tickles a person’s fancy, British imports are a much more luxurious option to pursue. Particularly, the older offers from Jaguar- early 2000s. Reliability of course, is the trade off. But, timeless beauty abound!

      4 cylinder or 5 cylinder it desnt matter. I see 500 I assume it has a 5L engine. Who wants to buy a 6 cylinder luxury sedan? Is it a camry? Instead of bringing a V12 to the states which they shouldve done when they made the 460 they went backwards.

Look above centre console, you will see a series of three switches in particular RIDE height is shown and SUSPENSION settings and then finally PWR for different power delivery, and altering of GEAR ratios!
