    I have a 2004 LS430 that now has 155k miles. I have the same VSC warning light. Same equipment and everything works. When I bought it using Premium fuel was no big deal. Now it is killing me. I can't imagine filling this thing up in the UK.

    Love Lexus.
    Started my career in a Toyota / Lexus showroom.
    Boss had the LS400.
    He would stop in the car park to talk to us and then try and restart the engine when it was already running as they were so quiet (made a noise when you did that though!)
    I'll get an LS some day I hope.

    I love how you're keeping these old Lexus barges on the road. I'm a fully paid up member of the Lexus fan club. I had a GS430 a couple of years back which had been converted to LPG. Lovely, comfortable car, if not the fastest thing on the road.
    My collection currently consists of a Rx400H for family / towing duties and ISF for V8 fun. Absolutely fantastic cars.

      I'm not alone!!! Never seen another RX towing, had some odd comments over the yrs how it's an odd choice or didn't know they could tow. When you explain it always sets off in 4wd electric with all that instant torque, the penny drops. ☺

      @iansimpson8309 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@stippolyte Absolutely. I use ours for towing a 1500kg caravan. It does so with ease and in absolute comfort.
      Not a fan of diesels and I love Lexus as a brand, so for a cheap, reliable family runaround that can tow, it seems an obvious choice.

    I had my 2006 Ls430 for 11 months. It is by far the best car i have ever owned. Unfortunately i had to part company a couple of weeks ago. I do miss it but just couldn't afford to run it and my L322 4.4 v8 petrol and Ls430 at the same time. Only bonus was making £1600 on what i paid for it last March.

    Bought a 1995 LS400 with 140k miles on it almost 2 years ago now. 1 owner car serviced @ Lexus from day 1. Needed something reliable as my other car is an e93 335i that's down for 1 month for ever 2 it runs perfectly! It's my 3rd Lexus and I love it!!
    PS...currently driving my LS as my e93 335i is down until I can get to the waterpump that died 2 weeks ago!! I think I'm ALWAYS going to keep a Lexus in the stable from now on!

    Last year I took your advice and bought my own 2005 LS430 Matt. I am SO pleased I did! She is a fantastic car! The previous owner actually works for Lexus and had her serviced every six months for the entire time of his ownership. She is everything you said they would be. Couldn’t recommend one highly enough! one thing that amused me: You set the temperature to 24 degrees to warm yourself up. Yesterday I set the temperature to cool myself down! Love the Ls430. Matt make sure you get an oil cooler fitted to protect your gearbox as they have a fault where coolant can leak into the gearbox. It's a straight forward job. Paul Frost Lexus specialist can advise. I've got an LS430 and unless your spending silly money nothing comes close to it! Keep these Lexus videos coming 👏👏🙂

      Sounds interesting. Question please : I recently saw on BAT that people were preferencing non-navigation models, as apparently everything goes through that module, and if it breaks, parts are unobtainium. So it a CD-player-only car ( eg older ) better ?

    • @tariqtvproductions
      @tariqtvproductions 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Czechbound most of the functions go through the screen. They're pretty reliable units. I wouldn't worry if it breaks plenty of places to get second hand one from. The earlier ones have less to go wrong as they don't have air suspension, 5 speed gearbox but then they loose some of the features like cooled/heated ventilated seats, no cool box, no massaging rear seats and no reversing camera so I guess it's a trade off

    Yes what a nice big lump. I always like a nice big lump to play about in and I have several over the years. Lexus LS, Audi S8 , VW Phaeton you just can't beat them.
    I remember when Toyota launched the Lexus and the fear it caused in Stutgart at the time. They were serious S Class challengers that were extremely well made. And came with a superb warranty and the famous Toyota reliability and so easy to sell without any discount.
    That looks like a good one once you spend the money on it . A proper big lump with that lovely V8. Priceless

    I would say maybe get them mats cleaned thoroughly first if they are not damaged. If they still look shabby afterwards then it would make more sense to get new mats. You never know what a good clean can do. Love the car and vids as always.
