WHAT I AM ABOUT:
Hi Guys! On this channel I like to challenge myself with the hardest aspects of the games I play. This includes difficult achievement walkthroughs and playing a new game or mod completely blind. I also make up my own challenges for games with 'sandbox' features, like killing the entire population, or making your favourite video game characters fight through a battlefield. For those unfortunate enough to be using Origin instead of Steam for this game, the portraits file may not show up under Documents/This War of Mine as the game suggests, at least that was the case for me. Instead, follow the path: This PC > Local Disk > Program Files (x86) > Origin Games > This War of Mine > Portraits.

A shame that there's only seven occupations because the 25 unique portraits and physiques you get are really cool. Since there aren't any black or Asian characters in the main game (that I know of), you could just make your own, so that's neat.
Very cool, now I can add the Commandos team to see how a military squad would be in this game
Wow, thanks a lot, been while have purchasing the game from recent sale, and i couldn't have known that we could make our custom character.
Now my LIS character already complete
David madsen as Police man
Max as photograper
Chloe as Insurance (according her persuasive abbility)
Rachel Amber as Psycologist, cause her present always cheers the other
Police Ociffer - Best night guard of the custom options. Forester is 2nd at about average. The others are below average.
Very good with guns. Does more damage at farther ranges.
The combat icon displays combat strength with the character. Roman have mostly white icons, Cveta has mostly grey. It's a circle with grey on top which is weak, and white on bottom which is strong.
Photographer - Skill simply does not seem to work at all. Completely average stats with no special skill. Anniversary Edition "final" version. It's broken.
Computer Spec - Completely changed for balance. Now simply builds two Mixers, Heat Lamps, or Thermo Regs for the price of one. Later on these are much more profitable to trade than the 4 Electrical Parts used to create them. Only sell when shelter is fully built though. Electrical Parts are rare. You could slowly gather them from the Garage NPC by trading, then use them to create the 3 more valuable trade goods.
Previously this character was even better than Marin for building.
Forester - Might chop wood faster by a tiny amount as well. Great character for a Long Winter game. Wood and Fuel value is inflated during Winter.
I know Marko digs threw piles slightly faster being a Skilled Scavenger.
I like how the game doesn't hold your hand, but it's so vague.

Is there a way to get one of the models like from people who visits you, theres one I really want as a survivor as he has a beanie and a nice backpack, is there anyway to get that model for a custom survivor?
That hasn't been cracked yet unfortunately. The custom character models are bland as well. I would at least like to use some of the NPC or default character models. More importantly their skills as an option. I guess that's possible, but difficult with a self-mod. It's a matter of renaming them and giving them a different portrait, but it's not near as easy as custom character creation.
I know its been 5 years but i have a question i dont seem to have all the portraits when making a new custom caracter on ps4 can you help?

Mod games count for achivments?
I believe it's dependent on the mod. Often shown in the description, or not :/
Some of the mods have no information.
If you want to cheat and still get achievements use a cheat trainer. But you could get banned in other online games. This game VAC bans aren't an issue I'm guessing as there is no online play.
But what if the custom portrait turns completely black in-game, but it's fine in the folder?

Ummm... That just sounds like you see the files differently. That should technically still work I think. Let me know if it doesn't and I'll try to work out a fix. And also Thanks! PS. sorry for the late reply, time zones meaning I was fast asleep when you watched!

I found the gender option to be too restricted and offensive to the others >.> :P
I laugh every time I see a Steam comment for a Portrait "mod." All it does is put the portrait in the folder which is too easy to begin with.
So if you download an attractive actress, she will by default be checked as a male Police Officer.
People start the game and have the first male character model with the leather jacket :P
Waiting for Nexus mod character models like Fallout and Skyrim if you know what I mean.
