Guys, a quick note regarding the added inventory slots -
You can add as many backpack slots as you want by following the tutorial in this video. THIS ONLY AFFECTS YOUR LOCAL INVENTORY WHILE SCAVENGING, NOT THE AMOUNT OF GOODS YOU CAN BRING BACK FROM SCAVENGING. The latter value is defined at the character level and is not manipulable via the Storyteller tool.
After i finish up from scavenging when my character arrive to base it gives me only the main page amount >> like i'v scavenged 100 items it gives me only 13 item ... help ?
I'm trying to figure out how to be able to build more than just 2 traps, but I can't find the value for that ?
Any idea ?
tried with the add slots to container on the crowbar but it has not added any inventory space, pls help :)

Do anyone know if you can spawn a event where a playable character join you even when you got 4 characters?
I changed the amount of max dwellers from 4 to 9 as well as change the visit types for those dwellers from 1 (free spot open requirement for visit) to 0 and -1 but neither worked.
can you plas show how to add mods for the game on discord. i have this game on discord and i have no idea where to put mods i have downloaded as there are tw mod folders i have tried both but i see no changes in game. can someone anyone please help me with this.
About the inventory size. Let's say I have a modified crowbar that adds 10 slots to my backpack, and I send Roman who only has a maximum of 10 slots but is increased to 20 because of the crowbar. Will I get all the 20 items I scavenged or when I get back home, I will lose the other 10 items because Roman can only handle 10 slots?

Hi, I have a question. What I want is more time during night. I'v already increased the time you have during the day, but increasing seconds NightSecondsPerGameHour, shortens the time for scavenging - so you have the same amount of time, but less hours on the clock. Is there a way to increase the time? Thanks for any tips from anybody.

Hi Slainknightly. i have some problems with the simple mod i created basing on the sample that you showed us. i ONLY modified 1 item which is the 'crowbar' and added 15 values to that add slot content so i will have 15 more backpack slots when i scavenge. It is working and i have those 15 extra slots but some of the items that i had actually dont go through when i get back. like i got a shotgun and some other stuffs but when i get back the shotgun wasnt on the things we have on our safehouse.
i have no other mods installed . just this. and i have the steam version and fully updated

The game is crashing after using mod🤧
We know this is old, but if you try to modify the inventory, it will not work anymore in the latest version. This will only work on the old version (The Classic = No Anniversary or Final Cut). But even if you work with it in the old version, the slot inventory mod will only work, but you can't ever bring all of them (only the default slot). My theory of why you can't have it all is that when you go home, the crowbar goes back to being unequipped. So, your slot inventory goes back to default and only counts the item on it.

I run the Epic Games version of this Game and sadly the "AddSlotsToContainer" doesn't work like it should. The Crowbar is automatically equipped and if I were to unequip the crow bar, it would reduce my base inventory by 10 slots... Lets say I have 12 slots in my inventory. Unequipping the Crowbar will reduce my slots to only 2. If I have more than two items (crow bar included) in my inventory when the crowbar is unequipped, the game crashes.
Everything else works great though.

Do you know how to edit an existing workshop mod you downloaded? I have one i like, but I want to change 1 thing, but i can't because it's a conflict.
I'm aware that this video was uploaded several years ago, but is there a way to modify behaviors/conditions of specific characters, while leaving the other survivors of the shelter untouched? I feel like I ought to just play around with it to find out, but an episode on modding characters would be really useful if anyone knows where to find one :)
Too bad Steam games doesn't apply their modtools to OS X (mac)... i had to buy a PC :(
which PC? another Mac? or did you silently elope with Windows when no one was looking? LOL! :P

Dunno why I lied about getting a new PC, I've been on this piece of shit Mac for 7 years lmao. Also, the mod tools are now available for Mac afaik.
thanx but this still doesnt work properly; modding the crowbar, shovel and so on its easy but when you return to the base everything is in those unlocked slots dissapear
I made a mod that would give me all items just as the video has instucted to do. The problem is, everytime I start a new scenario, it doesn't give me all the items. Please help!

aa ! and can you show how create crafting recipes ? i wanna add new item to craft a helmet, like 1 bottle of alcohol. for crafting joints and cigarette - book, read "paper". when i tried added new item i have error each time.

I see some items there listed as BATTERY and BAG. I'd like to know if is it possible to create a new item using these as components

hum... after some testing I don't get it... when editing the "AddSlotToContainer" it mess everything... If I put 1 to the shovel, when I enter the area, I don't have +1 slot with my shovel equipped (I just want to stay at 0/12 inventory when I bring a shovel and equip it, but I'm still at 1/12), but if I unequip it, I loose 1 slot ^^ (1/11 !!!), if I put it in a container and take it back I earn 1 slot (1/13)... and when you have multiple tools (shovel, hatchet etc) edited in your inventory, then it's chaos ... inventory slot just keep moving and shoving different slot number depending of f I just open my bag or open a container
I just wished to make a simple mod where equiped tools and weapon don't take inventory slot, can anyone help ? putting 1 on AddSlotToContainer for all tolls/weapon just doesn't work as intended
EDIt: even with the mod disabled, now if I go on scavanging with a shovel (which is eqquiped at start) I'm at 1/12 , and if I unequip it I go down at 1/11 inventory slot !... I don't know if it's a game bug or if I messed something around

goto yout gamefolder and open storyteller.exe there it will show ur mods then a box will open then click the ">" bottom at the upper left. it'll do the job

Is there a list of rules anywhere? I'm trying to create a weight based stack size mod that's realistic. I've increased some stacks quite a bit (such as cigarettes to 100 since they're so light), but every time I go to the work bench, the game force closes. It doesn't do this with other mods. Any ideas? Thanks for the video!
