- Welcome to the most eagerly anticipated tutorial of all, combat. Because there was so much to cover, I'll be splitting this into a few parts, this one is focused on characters and weapons, including the enemies, and I will move on to more advanced stuff and tactics next episode!

I tried to kill a guard in the hotel with Cvetta, gave her a machine gun and 15 bullets she missed every shot and the guard killed her with a pistol.

I made Zlata clear out the entire military outpost in one night... And she's not happy about that...
Note: The only time that Tools break is when you use it on: Chopping Furniture, Digging up Rubble, or picking locks. In Combat, the durability of tools never go down so, Sorry Andy but that piece of info was incorrect.

Andy Plays ABG also to point out, all characters and i mean all playable characters can be deadly. The solution is: Backstabing. You should include in your next vid that all characters (Yes Even Cveta) can be deadly with the following three steps
1. Using the Knife or Hatchet
2. Stealth
3.Timing and Distances.
The Knife and Hatchet are very deadly that it can end up severely wounding or killing an enemy.
Stealth is important for you want to get past guards then be able to backstab them. I should also point out that if you severely wound someone they will end up surrendering and begging for mercy. (Note If an enemy see their ally wounded badly they will search for the culprit.) But to point out, If you severely wound an enemy with armor on, their health wont go al the way down and you will have to fight them.
Lastly, Timing and Distances important. When you hide you want to wait for the enemy to pass by so you can deliver a devastating attack. But Distance is important as well. You dont want to backstab someone when other people are around for they will attack. So wait until one enemy is around so you can hurt or kill them without alering the others. I should also point out that Arica can hurt or kill enemys with out producing alot of noice. Some rules apply to when she picks locks with the crowbar.

Don't worry, all that information was super helpful. Its taking me a long time to order the info I have for the next episode though, which I why its not out yet. Some of your points are more nicely worded than mine though, so do you mind if I do a copy-paste job into my script?

When it comes to fighting I find that as long as you have a knife and it's a one vs one even B grades kick ass against thugs and while Roman may be good at killing Marko and Boris have the best inventory meaning that they are the best scavangers keep Katia and Bruno at home to keep it safe and also have someone who can bargain with the trader or someone who can cook food at cheeper costs
Cveta... someone made a video where it clears the military outpost using her... only with a hatchet... is pretty impresive that instead of killing anyone it just left them wounded
Hey Andy, I discovered something: If Roman is well fed and content and you give him a body armor and helmet, he is invincible.
There more types of people:
1. Guards (neutral)
2. Regular people (friendly)
3. Drunker (Neutral)
4. Paranoid survivor (Hostile)
5. Scavanger (Neutral + arm) and (Friendly + unarm)
6. Thug (Hostile)
7. Soldier (Neutral if you didn't attack anyone, Will become hostile if you in combat mode)
8. Patrolling soldier (Hostile Will shoot you on sight)
7. Deserter (Hostile)
8. Trader (neutral)
9. Bandits (Hostile and neutral)
10. Elderly (Friendly)
11. Sniper (Hostile)
12. Rebel (neutral)
Note: some of the neutral and friendly people Will become hostile if you:
1. attack them
2. Steal their stuff while they are watching you
3. Kill someone (Will become Hostile or fear + sadness)
4. Tresspass their territory
5. Holding a weapon including crowbar shovel and a knife (they Will warn you first if you comply they Will become neutral and if you don't they become Hostile and if you didn't comply they become Hostile)
a scope doesnt increase rang on a gun. it increases accurcy. and accurcy increases dps ( damage per second ) at longer ranges because the scope allows u to see the target bedder meaning u will hit the target alot more witch kills them faster becausr thats how dps works with scopes. it might not say this in game but thats how it works. in most fps games.
You forgot the morale system. Grade 1 and 2 can be killed with no moral penalty, and 3 and 4 with severe ones.

Andy Plays ABG also, rebels count as a severe penalty for they're death, but they're grade 2 killers.

the shotgun actually has damn good range, not scoped rifle, but across a room it's about a 2 shot
Well I've played This war of mine like 300 hours and I must admit, that this video's gold. Anyway I'm use Marco every time or Roman just to be sure. While fighting stealth Marco's ok, but things can get really bad when enemies notices you. ( sorry for my bad English or somethin' 😅)

Boris has a huge inventory but is slow so if you get caught and wounded you’re screwed.

I have a question. Can you knock out/kill an enemy without a weapon? Like a stealh kill knock out or something?
I think the closest to that is hitting stealth with so little attack that leaves the enemy with 1 hp.These are "mortally wounded" enemies and they stop attacking. Cveta with the hatchet does this every time she does a stealthy takedown!

Eventually most combat comes down to ambushing people and almost any character can do that. I hope they come out with an update to make combat a little more challenging.
Marco is A grade.
I've done some testing combat wise hes a 50/50 which puts him in the b category. He is the second or first best character for scavenging (depends of you care about movement speed by 17 slot boris) but he is only an average fighter
I killed 3 person bare fist with bruno one of them was unarmed, the other one had a knife and the last one a shotgun, bruno is a savage
I downed the Military outpost with Katia with only a knife, she didn't seem that bad haha
Cani ask something? What chirsto grade? A,B,C,D, or nothing?
He's not great, probably C, but I'm not quite sure. The wiki doesn't have any info on his combat proficiency either.

Oh yeah, its one of my other tutorials if you want to check it out. There are some extra characters already in the game though. So if you want to try it out, just click the "Write my own story" button.

there aren't actually enemy proficiencies, just weapons

Hey, I believe they are two different things. You can build the metal workshop from the regular workshop. Upgrading the regular workshop gives you the ability to build more things, and you can upgrade the separate metal workshop to do the same.

"guns is what the kids say i belive" .no everyone calls them guns. adults and kids. wanna know why?. because that is what they are. people may say weapons but thats just another way of saying guns. weapons is a word that can be used for any type of fire arm and handheld weapons such as anything really. u can use almost anything as a weapon. but guns are guns. simple
It was meant to be a joke, but I am not that funny, (go figure) Also, I am doubting you have played This War of Mine, as you described it as a fps game. While I am aware you would be totally correct if we were talking about Call of Duty, or Halo, This War of Mine is a survival game at heart. This means that some of the combat aspects are still being discovered and worked out. What I said in this video was factually correct at the time I uploaded, and I believe that it still is the consensus that "range" is increased, although in the games code, "range" and "accuracy" are very similar and contribute to a single value chance to hit. When I said "increased range" I meant that the whole "accuracy" calculations had been shifted back so you can use it from a longer range with the same effects.

Well, after months deliberating over this fact, the only possible explanation I can come to is that Jacksepticeye is literally god.
(seriously though, it is possible, just incredibly difficult. He did amazingly well...)
