  • We look at the options one can take at the Bakery, and the rather illogical morale outcomes that arise. It appears the most rewarding scenario is to hide and do nothing, then hope the son and his mama (or is it wife?) are killed by the thugs, then you get positive karma AND you get to take all their private property afterwards as it is no longer regarded as stealing once the son/mama are killed.
    If you act the hero and fight with the family - no positive karma, and their property remains private so you can't access it.
    Conclusion: Location bug.

      For sure, the location has all sorts of inconsistencies, and that's another one that you mention/experienced

    i think the reason why you had no morale bonus its because your characters had a very hungry state. some characters get mood penalty whenever someone has a very hungry state.

      yup, possible, going to play around a bit with the hunger status to see the impact

    They are cleaver... the dev team expected you to be a hero. They knew you would help out. However, this is the one instance that is backwards. Doing nothing rewards good karma. Somwhow, staying out of the fight is the correct choice.

      I avoid the map with the bakery now as it makes the game too easy whichever the scenario as it gives meds, guns and a heap of other mats for no effort or risk. I think the map with the bakery also gives the brewery, so take the gun from the bakery and its another risk-free high value site and the house is pretty much set for the long term.

    You can also open the door while enemies try to unlock it, then they get scared and run away

      great, thanks for pointing that out. Something I never thought of doing as figured it would lead to a fight.

    That is a good deed, you are saving the family, it is better to go with a knife and notify the family so that they can help you. The son also has a knife in which the thugs go up with a stab wound on the stairs, it is enough to kill them since killing the criminals is not a bad deed

    I'm curious what their bios say about their actions at the bakery
    About to try this location myself...I wonder if it is still buggy in how it rewards you for saving the family?
    Edit: Got the result of husband and assassins dead, wife and mom alive, after I chose not to interfere. Same outcome of all private stashes remaining private. The bios when I got home suggested that I did indeed help them, even when I did nothing at all.

    • @kagang8959
      @kagang8959  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup, if the wife wins, the stashes remain private, at least can get the guns off the hubby and the raiders in that scenario.

    so, i figured out the "proper" way to do it is go down and activate the bandits and then go back up to the family and your guy will warn them and you get a morale bonus.
    this place is bugged. if you try to kill the bandits yourself, the family turns hostile, but if you let the bandits kill the family, the mother survives and your character still "warns" the family and the game thinks you did it correctly and gives you the morale bonus.
    funny thing is if you let the bandits do their thing and come back another day, the mother is still alive, but no longer interacts with anything and all the stuff is now marked as unowned and no longer stealing.
    so then, the "right" way to do it is to warn the family, but the "optimal" way to do it is to let them kill the family, if you don't mind the knowledge of knowing that you could have saved them.

    • @kagang8959
      @kagang8959  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes for sure the placed doesn´t work as its supposed to. Letting the bandits kill the family gives so much loot too with all the piles being labeled as unowned plus you get a gun out of it.

    Man I have a question. I am playing it on IPad ios and I don’t have those locations. Is it a final cut version or what? I cant find that version to buy anywhere, it says that is available for ios. Im confused. Thank you for your guides it halped me to survive 2 times easy!

    • @kagang8959
      @kagang8959  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure if its final cut or not. I have the final cut and the anniversary edition, so not sure which locations come with which edition as was so long ago that i added them. I would have thought all the editions would be available on each platform given there is money in it for them to do that. Note also that there are a number of standard maps that you can get dealt in each run and not every standard map has the bakery - you can start the run multiple times to change the map you are dealt - just 'end day', look at the map you have been given, and if want to keep it then quit out and 'continue' after that and it puts you back at the morning of day 1 and you know what map you will get that night.

    A possible reason you didn't get any karma bonus from helping could be from coming home with empty pockets?

    • @kagang8959
      @kagang8959  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've tried it every way I can and always the same outcome, eg trading first, not trading, killing the raiders, scaring them off - can't find a better outcome than letting them fight and hoping the raiders win so that can loot the house without stealing afterwards (and picking up a handy gun too).

    How do you reload the game to yesterday? I didn't know that was possible.

    • @kagang8959
      @kagang8959  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If logging out at any point during a day, then reloading puts you back to first thing in the morning. But if wanting to make hard saves of each day you have to locate where the save files are on your computer and make copies of those save files so that you can delete the ongoing game and replace with the saved files to go back to any particular game/point that you saved previously (for me its in my Steam directory in a sub-folder named 282070 - I just copy the entire 282070 folder to make a hard save)

      just alt f4 the game and it resets ... but the down side is that you have to replay the morning before the night... and never plan a risky scavenge on a trader day-pro tip

    • @moonlitxangel5771
      @moonlitxangel5771 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@demacianwolf4121 The problem with that is that if you don't reset before the next day starts then you're stuck there. So like he wouldn't have been able to do what he did in this video at all - he'd have had to close down the game before the "day ___" screen came up. Then you wouldn't get to see the impact of your actions on the characters.

    It's weird when you helped them no bonus on our people and cannot steal. But if you ignore the robbery, all our people get bonus!

    • @kagang8959
      @kagang8959  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup, I think it classifies as a bug as it shouldn't work that way, especially if the robbers win then all the piles labeled steal can then be taken without penalty. It would make more sense if the robbers won every time (not just some of the time) and we got a morale penalty for not helping, plus all the piles previously labeled stealing vanished (ie got stolen). If we intervened on the inhabitants behalf, we get a morale boost for doing so, plus the inhabitants then let us take the piles previously labeled stealing as a thank-you (or something logical like that...)

    • @kagang8959
      @kagang8959  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unless its changed, which I doubt as there would have been patch notes (?), I've found the bandits win most of the time, so that could just be a sequence of really bad dice rolls.
