BMW R1200RT Service

Medium service, 16,700 miles. Spark plugs, oil & oil filter and brake fluid.
Notice the cam chain tensioner noise when first start up after an oil change. Once oil pressure builds the tensioner goes quiet.

This model certainly has two plugs per cylinder and only one replaced. Also not a lot of point replacing brake fluid in the master cylinder without bleeding the fresh stuff through the system.

I've owned an exTasmanian 2009 Police certified BMW R1200RT.
Not one bad word !!! Beautiful ride on all sealed roads. Easy to do your own maintenance, heaps of smiles when viewed, Happy look's when cruising, low centre of gravity, economical and comfortable as fu#k ❤️🦘🇦🇺👍🇩🇪

Alguien sabe si el modelo r1220rt 2005 tiene caja de fusibles por que el parabrisas no sube ni baja y el intermitente izquierdo dejó de funcionar alguien sabe como reparar o si tienen fusibles gracias

Just wondering why you added brake fluid instead of changing the pads. Do you have a leak? If you don’t and the fluid is low enough to add then you need to change your pads.

I removed the brake fluid prior to filling. The fluid level was fine beforehand in the video (been a year since filming). Always good idea to keep an eye on the brake fluid level.
