In all my years of a paralegal and watching live trials, I have NEVER seen where the judge has placed such stringent timeline AND refusal of so much evidence being submitted to the jury to a plaintiff. If this is the direction trials are going, I see nothing but huge problems for the justice system to work as it was originally intended. Just my opinion! And no I dont care if there are thousands of pages of medical records. It is still vital for the jury to see the good, bad, and ugly. The defendants dont want the bad and ugly to be seen!

I m so tired of this judge we. He's so openly bias towards the defense it shameful. IT has continued throughout the whole trial. He's not the judge who should have heard this.
Now we all understand the way Beata felt. She was at her wits end and was pushed around to the point of the dr and then social workers literally driving her crazy! She commits suiside so her daughter could come home before Maya gets throwed into the system where we all know has so many flaws. She sees there's no way to to get Maya home by to end her life. Soon as she dies...Maya got to come home. The Justice system is messed up and then the family has to file a lawsuit to get justice. Here is the family AGAIN trying to get justice for Maya.
I pray the jury feels just like we do! They have an intire firm taking up one whole side of the court room versed a couple damn good attorneys that are being treated awful by the Judge. He talks down to them and smarts off to Mr.Anderson constantly and let's the defense attorneys sit over there and shake their heads constantly then the judge agree with the "Shaking Heads", it's just sick! I feel so bad for Jack, I truly do.

Every single person from this hospital is playing "dumb". They didn't see anything, didn't hear anything, didn't know anything.! Each time they place the responsibility on someone else or another department. Incredible and so obvious. This hospital failed this family in so many ways. I hope they have to compensate the Kowalski family big time❤

Wait till you get to the "Risk Management" witnesses, I actually really laughed out loud at them, they know nothing, never heard of Maya, but Beady blames all her abuses on them, and testified that the abuses she carried out were on the orders of Risk Management. To be fair, when they explained how the Risk Management committee only meet about 4 times a year, and they had little knowledge of Maya, it looks like Beady was working of her own volition, and using them as an excuse.

WHY?! Why does this judge ALLOW the defense to sit over there and make faces and shake their heads? The judge never says anything to them. He doesn't admonish them in any way. They sit over there (all 15 or 20 attorneys smirking, laughing loud and always shaking their heads before Mr. Anderson can even get his question out AND the Judge sustains the defences objections fact. This jury is going to be so confused because of the judge 👩‍⚖️ 🤔 How will they ever be able to deliberate. The judge has thrown out so many things...important things that the jury needed to see or here.nThis is a mess! It's my opinion which I have a right to that he's " Allegedly" very biased toward the defense and laughing along with them. This all is no laughing matter and the judge should act accordingly. He has allowed and I'm afraid will continue to allow the "bobbing & shaking heads to run his own court room." He shows no sympathy towards the death of Beata and seems to forget Maya and Kyle are still children and most Judges and attorneys are very sympathetic to the children and soft spoken but NOT this judge...oh how he must refrain from that but yet he's very sympathetic towards the defense. I'm very disappointed and disgusted by this judge. Power and politics are running high in this country room and many others and it's sad but it trickles down from the top down...like pouring rain
This Judge is a thunderstorm and lightening strikes constantly 😳 HE gets mad so easily and his demeanor is haunting 🌩 he's scary to the point that the defense doesn't know wether to just throw in a Hall Mary sometimes😳 😨
Notice how the defence begins shakes their heads are NO Even before Mr. Anderson can even get his question out and as soon as they start shaking their heads, they judge will sustain their objection immediately and then he looks directly at Mr. Anderson and scolds him By either telling him to move on or not to ask the question or by telling him that he "the Judge" It's about to make the decision or question for him..... What kind of judge acts like this?...this kind of Behavior from a judge is unexceptable in any case!

I can certainly feel the frustration and desperation Beata must have felt.... Beata remembered how she felt when she was separated for no apparent reason from her own father. She knew what Maya was going through. Beata knew she was doing the best thing to reduce the suffering of her child, on the advice of several doctors. Maya is then held captive in the hospital blaming Beata, who knows this separation and misdiagnosis (proven) is going to cause more harm to Maya. Then the social workers start talking about putting Maya in a foster home...so in Beata's mind, her daughter is going to be separated from her mother no matter what (whether she removes herself from the world entirely, or Maya is dragged into foster care after the hospitalization). So she sees those choices: suicide (Maya comes home) or continue to fight (Maya goes to foster care and never receives the right treatment for her real and diagnosed CRPS disease). It makes sense that Beata sacrificed her own life to save her daughter. And as it turns out, Beata was right. Maya was released in less than a week after her mom took her life.

That's how I see it too. I'm confused how some people don't see this. That is the picture that has been painted thus far. My parents unalived themselves over financial issues, they only saw loosing everything they worked so hard for, they were hopeless and that was the only way out to them. They lost hope, as did Beata. Granted, my parents death was more complicated than that, they felt as if they were a burden to us kids. And in no way did I think they didn't love us, they loved us unconditionally our whole lives.

ThIs Dr. ANTHONY NAPOLITANO...states that there is no one at the hospital qualified to diagnose an adult mental illness. So how did a judge feel it was ok to order this child to be take from her parents without a proper diagnosis of the mother? The judge has no real cause! Even if the judge felt there could be a truth to the "hear say" wouldn't he want further investigation to substantiate the truth? This whole case is so disturbing...everyone involved failed this family!

  • @ondi37

An entire one side of the whole courtroom is full of about 15 attorneys and then we have 2 defense attorneys. And the Judge wants to jump out loud down the throat of 2 defense attorneys trying to work against them and staying up til 2 or 3 am just to prepare for the next day. My husband is a judge of 42 years. Longest sitting in Tennessee and he said in all his years he's never seen a "a younger" judge for one thing, plus a person in his power, let the defense run HIS COURT ROOM! Plus show this much bias and in this case towards the defense. If he calls a mistrial then I hope the state throws him off the trial. Appeal is definitely coming due to this judge being bias. He reminds me of one of those kids that grew up rich, was spoiled by his parents and was a big bully then after being elected to the bench...God I can see it as many others can that he's being a bully in this case and he's very biased towards the Defense, very.

I'm in agreement the judge is so frustrated in trying to get the two lawyers to communicate. I understand Mayas attorney not wanting to tie up anymore time on CRPS and Ketamine due to being limited time however they have to communicate this between the parties. The judge is going to throw stuff out if they cannot communicate. It may not have changed anything to Mayas attorney however they still need a heads up. I can't imagine how Mayas MOM must have felt and Maya. If lawyers and Dr's aren't on the same page can you imagine how the patient and a family can get lost in explaining all of this. I can. My Dr's don't agree on treatment and it left me feeling very isolated , in pain and traumatized. Please communicate together.

He's the worst biased creep of a judge I ever saw. Turns on the charm and a completely different personality when the jury first enters. Hopefully hospitals will mind their own business when it comes to abuse. If any hospital is concerned or suspects any Munchausen's they ignore it and do whatever procedure the parent wants. A common misconception people have when it comes to Munchausen's is that the child is being hurt and is actually healthy. That's not always the case. A child can have a medical issue but the parent exploits it. The parent usually appears to be totally committed to their child, they'll go doctor shopping, is concerned with the child's health. Their life and identity is being a mother with very sick child who needs surgeries, medications, multiple stays in the er. At some point it begins to seem like the parent doesn't truly want their child to get better, even though they've devoted their entire existence towards their child's health. They've been advocating for their child.
But, is there ever a point when someone should step in and say Before we put a pump in your child's spine, how about we start with a less extreme and invasive treatment.
If a parent tells a doctor that their child is in so much pain and that their child wants to go to heaven and they try and put a nine year old in a hospice to die and are refused, should that be ignored. It's a disturbing thing to hear a parent talk like that. But nobody has a right to stop a parent from doing what they believe is in their child's best interest.
