That would be amazing, hopefully one day, who knows. My email address is always open. LOVE that idea 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🤞🤞🤞, thank you Aidan. O&U! Best regards, TGV
This is the peak of horology content. A blissful half hour that's part-How It's Made, and part museum tour. This has honestly made my week. I'll admit, Hanhart weren't always a house I kept an eye on and I had no clue about their history, but this was incredible. Seeing their history and heritage, their truly in house production and perhaps more impressively, passionate young men who love what they do and are certain to keep this place going for another century. Thanks so much TGV and the Hanhart team. I'm off to watch spot in Das Boot.
This is by far the best and most interesting factory tour I've seen. Thank you, TGV, for your passion and the hard work that went into this masterpiece. What is important to be added is the deep and .openhearted mutual respect that all the people involved express. Simply great!
Thank you so much for presenting this Brand Hanhart so perfectly - I am blown away - this real German Mittelstand manufacturing without a lot of marketing gaga - Hanhart speaks for itself - I am from the Black Forst myself and so proud of your wonderful video - Many, many thanks. Please present Laco, Stowa, Sinn and the great British watchmakers like Bremont, Ward and Smith - Greetings from Germany
So cool TGV. I'm currently an encasing technician and watchmakers apprentice for many high end brands. after leaving my career as an auto mechanic. And I must say if it wasn't for you and Marc fueling my love of watches I might not have had the courage to switch careers. And my wife being unbelievably cool and supportive. There's a lot of wives that wouldn't be cool with " hey baby I'm going to take a 30% pay cut to pursue my strange hobby that you don't understand". Anyway. Great video! Keep it up my friend!
Tristan, as a former heat treatment/machinist tradesman I found this absolutely amazing! The depth of precision & intricacies that goes into each & ever piece is mind boggling! I bought the Hanhart 417ES reissue when launched here in Australia & it’s one of my absolute favourites in my vast collection! I’m a jealous boy mate! Maybe on my next trip to Germany, which I hope isn’t too far away I can visit the region. Cheers 🍻👍🏼😎🇦🇺
Well worth it andrew. I live nearby and the company is giving every customer an individual tour. Showing the museum and the actuall collection. Just make an appointment a couple of days in advance. If you like i join you!
TGV your influence and input into a horological renaissance cannot be overstated. Bravo! What a fantastic tour deforce of Hanhart history and German engineering skill and dedication. The positive developments and evolution to precision and quality could only be done to this degree by such a prestigious, dedicated team. TGV this is one of your best videos to date. I was riveted to my seat. Gracie my friend. You are the 'Horological Pope!'
They are so likeable at Hanhart, this is really a great but modest and sincere company. In 2001 I've asked them to do me a 1941 Replica in steel with the gold plated, decorated 7751 movement of the "Gold Chronograph" and they actually did it! The watch was running on the wrist at + 1 second per day and lost in position crown up 1 second during the night. After 9 months I've stopped controlling the watch since it kept that performance: incredible!
Hanhart is a world horological watch company. Tgv you blew my mind with the history of the brand and the different style watch cases they made. What is impressive to me is Hanhart still builds, like they did in the hay days. Well add another grail to my list because you and I have similar taste. What a wonderful tour of the factory and the heritage Hanhart keeps in beautiful watch making. Thank you for another great show.
Amazing video! Amazing sense of pride from the people working in this factory. What a way to keep traditional watchmaking alive! That blooper there at the end just killed me😂!
This continues to be a highly-underrated channel, with pieces like this giving us a great deep dive into the history and operations of manufacturers who are too often overlooked. Great work!
It's about time we get to see the "nuts & bolts" of watchmaking. Most videos show assembly, but no footage of the small components being fabricated. I find it fascinating! It is so exacting and a huge contributor to a dependable watch.
Thank you for this wonderful video. What a warm welcome from the Hanhart people. You immediately feel the passion and genuine connection with the products. The people are proud of their watches and their tradition, and quite rightly so. As a viewer, you immediately felt that you got along well and the chemistry was right. I love this channel for videos like this.
It was great to see how passionate and enthusiastic they were to show you around. Now I find myself looking at listings for mechanical Hanhart stopwatches, some can be picked up for less than £100 which I'd consider an extremely reasonable price considering the deep and interesting history embedded in the brand. Thanks for another fantastic video TGV.
Seeing how much they're REALLY making in-house - not just assembling movements out of pieces they buy from who-knows-where - is amazing. As a former fabricator and maker of things, this really speaks to me. I'm going to have to get a Hanhart! Incredible episode, what a look into a remarkable little world.
Amazing factory tour, and the brand seems to have some really great people behind it. Thanks for a unique look inside a brand that doesnt get enough mention in the mainstream watch circles!
What a gem of a video Tristano! Much like the Fortis factory tour-but even better! Such (important) history. And Manfreid! Wow. And that special room. All of it was so amazing. Renewed, heighteded respect for Hanhart. Onwards and upwards! Cheers.
Watching this video is just pure joy. Your channel is absolute pure class! How you manage to continually outperform your previous videos is amazing. Thank you for always providing the absolute best content. Very well done!🥃
My gosh TGV, just when I feel bored of the watch world you drop an absolute banger of a video like this and I'm pulled right back in! This honestly feels like a high quality documentary, a deep dive looking into the hidden gems of German watchmaking history. As always, you're a step above the rest TGV. All the Best, K.
Wow. What a brilliant brand with history but more importantly, passion to continue using their vast knowledge and old time watchmaking techniques. Makes me feel happy to know a company like this still exist today.
TGV Caio, this video was very interesting and inspired. I doff my hat to you for bucking the Watches and wonders video trend. This video was far better and much more valuable to the enthusiasts and casual audience than looking at another Rolex or the like. Thanks so much for taking the time to make and publish this 🎉
OMG! I wish I knew you were visiting hanhart and the Black Forest. I would have love to meet you in person. I'm so glad you finally were able to visit the hanhart factory. Myself and some US Military colleagues did a visit in 2021, such a memorable day and experience. For me, hanhart represents the heart of German/Black Forest watch making. Over the moon on this video, well done sir!
Yeah, okay, this is truly what I would consider an "in-house" production. It was lovely to see the passion the manufacturer had not only for their watches, but the whole production process and their employees. P.S.: I just came back from a tour of rural Germany, and it is by all means a great place to unwind.

The other two models are 40mm
Love the storytelling around such underexposed brands as Hanhart - especially one that really focuses on the purpose of a watch = keeping time. Thanks for sharing!
This video truly opened my eyes to Hanhart. What’s truly remarkable is the collaboration between their talented individuals who seamlessly blend art and engineering. This harmonious combination results in the creation of exceptional timepieces. It’s truly a testament to the fusion of creativity and technical expertise within the company.
Proud owner of a Pioneer MkI, glad to see what your devotion for such a charming brand has allowed us to see... a deep insight, by the way. Thanks a lot from Spain, lad. 😉 PS Yes... a fully coloured and thick book regarding Hanhart´s history is something to be done. Take the risk, assume the challenge. If you read between the lines, Felix was suggesting you to step forward. Don't be shy, matey 😁
Picked up my 417ES personally in Gütenbach 2 years ago & went to museum as well. Very exciting to get an even deeper insight to this horological significant brand. Thank you for the great content! 😊
Great video, I am actually from Freiburg a city relatively close to the Hanhart factory, cool to see a part of the black forrest, that I know since my childhood, in your video.
Is very evident how much and very appreciated you are Tristano, beautiful video and a big salute to Hanhart for open their doors and allowing our favorite watch enthusiast bring a close look to this institution.
Thank you Tristano! A wonderful journey in the world of watchmaking. A touch with the birthplace of a mechanical marvel. Now when we look at a Hahnhart watch there will be a different meaning behind it. Grazie!
Fantastic video Tristano. I worked in Germany for many years. The guys are so humble yet so proud of their heritage. Hanhart will be my next purchase. Thank you for showing us this horological history.
I cannot think of anybody else who could have made a video like this, T. It is like watching a production from a big media house, and then it’s basically you and a camera operator. Amazing. Truly, truly amazing! And what a cool factory - loved those old school heavy industry machines. And your hosts as well, what lovely people! Big kudos to everyone involved in this 👍
Especially as a German I am glad and happy that you have made this beautiful portrait about Hannhart. This is really not mass-produced and therefore one waits gladly for his Hannhart . After looking at it, I had to put on my 417ES right away. Thanks for stopping by.
T, Absolutely first rate video. Your enthusiasm for the brand, history and innovation was matched by the company staff members who were clearly thrilled to have you there. Good work. Best as always. Matthew
I purchased a Hanhart watch and indeed considered an honor to own one. The brand's commitment to quality and their dedication to preserving the heritage of mechanical watchmaking have earned them my loyal following. Thank you for staying true.
Hanhart is my grail watch. During a recent trip to Europe I was disappointed that the only Hanhart dealer in the country I was visiting had no watches on their floor. But I am undaunted! Your video was a beautifully filmed, deep dive into scholarship topped off with ladles of genuine enthusiasm for the brand. I am dying to get a 417es on my wrist!!
As a German myself, I have never heard of this brand yet, so a special thank you in that regard teaching me about my own history :) .. Also the fact it was shown in "Das Boot" was new to me, I'll have a closer look when watching this movie the next time.
Thank you for opening my eyes to the brand , this brand must of slipped through my radar over the years, I think we all concentrate on the Swiss or Japanese brands to much and forget others that have been going on for years. Love seeing the factory tour esp the old machines I can only imagine the smell of oil like an engineering company. What a great team that showed you around and sounds like they showed you a lot ( probably more then other companies would of )
Magnificent! TGV, this is one of your best to date. It was a very personal interview. It gave me a sense that I followed you down those hallowed halls and corridors of Hanhart and coming into contact with all those wonderful people at Hanhart . It's a truly epic journey. Thank you so much for sharing with us.
It feels stupid saying it to you seeing what you've accomplished vs myself, but I can't help to watch this a feel proud of you. It feels obvious that you are doing what you love and interviewing people you respect! Keep it up!!!
I’ve been looking for the right watch for me for the past several months. Learning about different brands, their history and journey through the years. My mind is now made up. 🇩🇪
Awesome video! Arguably one of the best tours around a watchmaking factory. I was lucky to meet Felix and Simon myself and had this tour last year when I picked up my 417ES. Great watches, great people, underrated but highly recommended brand! Keep up the good work. Cheers.
The Hanhart 417 ES 1954 was my first watch after you introduced me to the brand. it's on the wrist right now and I love it! Thanks for introducing me to this brand.
absolutely fantatic insight to a watch company i have the greatest respect for ..my 417es .and why i hold german watch makers as good as any swiss ..their passion shines through ...
Only just started watching this but loving it already..When I lived in Germany we visited the beautiful Black Forest around Lake Titisee and Freiburg. Amazing. My favourite place in the world. TGV, Hanhart, Black Forest, Germany.....what else do you need. Thank you in advance my friend as I'm going to enjoy this 🙏
What an epically good factory tour of one my absolute favorite brands. Thank you for putting in the work on this one, and I agree, they should put together a book documenting their amazing history. 2 thumbs wayyyy up!
This was absolutely amazing! I was not aware of the Hanhart brand. The story behind the brand is incredible. Thank you for sharing the passion and story of Hanhart timepieces.
What a treat! Fantastic tour of their factory and museum! The one gent is a living legend of the brand. Great content TGV! Love to see more like this! Def on my list as a must have 417 ES! 👏👏
Simply superb! Fascinating to see how much of the watches are made in that factory. I could easily spend a whole day just in the museum part, I love history and always enjoy and appreciate it when you include this segment in your videos. I’ve been waiting patiently for the 38mm release, and now it’s here, the trouble is getting hold of one! Scenery was fantastic, makes me want to jump on my motorcycle and do a road trip from UK to the Black Forest.
Holy heck, what an outstanding video. Just in case anyone hadn’t quite realised you are a legend it’s amazing to see what an influence you have had with a watch brand. Epic
This profile of Hanhart blew me away. I appreciate your level of passion and love for this brand. My wife’s family is from Oberstaufan in the south of Germany,on my next visit I will pay this company a visit and add one to my collection.
Fantastic episode! Like the travelogue format, getting the tour of the Hanhart factory, learning the history...fascinating! Glad you were able to enjoy the peaceful countryside too!
Wow TGV, what a beautiful experience that was . From the interviews to the camera person filming. It made me feel as if I was there personally on a field trip. As always keep up the fantastic work you put out
What a great video and I am so glad you made it to Germany! I spent 3 years there (in Bavaria) and it brought back some great memories and I loved the factory tour, what a great set-up they have. The CNC machines at my work are much larger so really enjoyed seeing theirs in the process, and the amount of pride in the product :) I hope you make it to Japan soon!
TGV, absolutely amazing, thank you so much for taking us on your tour of the Hanhart factory, I for one would love to see a full documentary of Hanhart. You will be solely responsible for me acquiring the 417, what a beautiful piece, just seeing where and how it's made with such precision to detail and passion for their timepieces was a joy to watch, I can't wait to get this on my wrist, Thankyou
I am from the Black Forest area, I grew up just about 30 miles from Gütenbach where Hanhart are headquartered, though I've been living internationally for many many years now. So nice to see these lovely images of the beautiful landscape. Clocks and watches are of course a huge part of the industrial history of the region - my own grandfather was a watchmaker working for one of the big companies back in the day: in Schwenningen, another city famous for its watchmaking tradition, which is mentioned by Felix in the video.
Must I say, them Hanhart gentlemen look absolutely star struck by the Gentry, in the most humble way, all because of your known contribution in educating the world on the important parts of enjoying this hobby - history, appreciation and not just about the common big brands. I look to get my own Hanhart very soon, and even visit Germany. Most of all, you have opened the door of curiosity for the other horological history rich brands our there. You are a gem!
I've been at Hanhart. Just called them to ask for a tour. No pronblem, they were honnored to do plan something for me. What a great company and what a watches they produce. And it's great to see young watchmakers in action. My MK I never leaaves me.
Thank you so much TGV for sharing such an enthusiastic watch factory tour! These guys are just great! I love there passion, humor, and friendly moto working environment that they have! This just shows the great work that they achieve and the inspirations that they have of there brand! Thank you so much again TGV for sharing such a exquisite tour of Hanhart watch factory! Stay healthy and well as always! (Nick L) ❤❤❤⏱️⏱️⏱️🦖🦖🦖🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪
This is a video I like to revisit from time to time. It makes me appreciate the brand more than ever, and it was just enough to push me over the edge to purchase my own 417ES 1954 flyback.
Thanks for sharing. I know I say the same thing every time, but you’re the only channel I watch (pun intended) that talks about watches that are clearly out of my price range. I think it’s because your content is about more than just the watch. Safe travels!
TGV...great stuff as always....would love to see you doing a visit to a few British watchmakers...Bremont, Roger W Smith, Christopher Ward, etc??
That would be amazing, hopefully one day, who knows. My email address is always open.
LOVE that idea 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🤞🤞🤞, thank you Aidan. O&U!
Best regards,
TGV
This was really interesting and personal. It’s so hard to get these right and you have! Nice work TGV. Love having my eyes opened to more watchmakers
Fears- gotta visit fears. Their watches look great!
I definitely agree 👍
Or Fears that beats them all
Absolutely amazing company 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪 No marketing BS, but pure tried and tested craftmanship👍 Fantastic video !
What a lovely team I was impressed at the high standards they set for themselves. Hanhart is on my radar now.

TGV wieder mal in Deutschland 🇩🇪
Danke für Deinen Besuch und den tollen Bericht ☺️
Incredible! This is not a video you watch only one time. I can't wait to turn this on again. What an excellent tour.

Wow. What a brilliant brand with history but more importantly, passion to continue using their vast knowledge and old time watchmaking techniques.
Makes me feel happy to know a company like this still exist today.

Having a Hanhart on my grail list as well, and after watching this I want it even more! Great content as usual!
Such an incredible company. And awesome video. Only 93k views??? Sacrilege.
Been looking at them, their watches, now and again for more than a decade. I must have one, now!
Thanks for a very fine factory tour.
absolutely fantatic insight to a watch company i have the greatest respect for ..my 417es .and why i hold german watch makers as good as any swiss ..their passion shines through ...
Only just started watching this but loving it already..When I lived in Germany we visited the beautiful Black Forest around Lake Titisee and Freiburg. Amazing. My favourite place in the world. TGV, Hanhart, Black Forest, Germany.....what else do you need. Thank you in advance my friend as I'm going to enjoy this 🙏
Amazing as expected. The people at Hanhart seem really friendly, knowledgeable and you can see that pride they have. Great video
What an epically good factory tour of one my absolute favorite brands. Thank you for putting in the work on this one, and I agree, they should put together a book documenting their amazing history. 2 thumbs wayyyy up!
Awesome, love to see the machines at work, as well as the employees at their benches. Thanks for producing this one.
Wonderful documentary. Great editing. Enjoyed it immensely. Good job, TGV.
This was absolutely amazing! I was not aware of the Hanhart brand. The story behind the brand is incredible. Thank you for sharing the passion and story of Hanhart timepieces.
My new all-time fav episode! This look into Hanhart's facility, history and employees was truly amazing! Thank you!!!
Very cool TGV. It’s nice that you’re being recognized for your fabulous content. Take Care
Fantastic episode TGV. The passion of the Hanhart team jumps off the screen. Thank you for sharing.
Wow. TGV, this might be one of your best videos. This really gave me a whole other level of appreciation for the brand.
Thank you so much Michael, that makes it all worth it to hear that. O&U!
Best regards,
TGV
Outstanding video - put a smile on my face! Like you mentioned, the history in that secret room needs to be preserved and recorded!
Fantastic episode! Like the travelogue format, getting the tour of the Hanhart factory, learning the history...fascinating! Glad you were able to enjoy the peaceful countryside too!
German here. What a nice surprise in my morning : TGV visiting Hanhart in the Black Forest. Keep up the good work, Tristano!
Fantastic presentation and production. And Hanhart is so worth the effort. Thank you, TGV!
What a fantastic tour. Thank you very much TGV. Hanhart watches are really beautiful ones - have to add one to my collection someday.
It's good to see you getting out and traveling! I recall your earlier videos and your comments about learning new things and experiencing the 🌎
Wow TGV, what a beautiful experience that was .
Such an amazing episode and a fantastic set up at this Hanhart factory. The staff and management truly have a passion for this brand.
Tuning in from Germany. Just wanted to go to sleep, but then TGV drops a video from Germany. That has to be watched or I can't sleep :)
Very impressive. I especially liked the watch servicing by the watchmaker.
Just a beautiful video, like always! 🙏 Thank you TGV! Hanhart is just great! 🙌 Salut from Romania 🇷🇴
Impressive factory and the watches are truly unique in design and functionality. Looking forward to adding one to my collection.
thank you for sharing Hanhart's story, i hope they'll have more worldwide brand recognition.
🤞🤞🤞🤞 Let's hope so, they really deserve it.
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
Thanks for sharing. I know I say the same thing every time, but you’re the only channel I watch (pun intended) that talks about watches that are clearly out of my price range. I think it’s because your content is about more than just the watch. Safe travels!
