I knew it! The Ritual of Nathema is my favorite. Though I thought you'd also mention Force Drain given how powerful it can come to be.
The Ritual is a combinstion of force and life drain
The problem with the ritual is that it's such an afront to the force that even other sith will try and kill you if they learn that you've performed it.
Pretty sure Force Drain isn't necessarily confirmed to be an extinct ability

I'd say the form of Force Drain Nihilus used is extinct. Kreia stated it was unlearnable only accessed by those who have sensed its deavstating impact on the Force, like the being who would become Nihilus did on Malachor 5. And it's said he drained his first victim instinctively. And Meetra Surik ensured that it couldn't touch others, at least unless one would cause another Force Wound, by reactivating the Mass Shadow Generator and destroying Malachor 5 forever, thus destroying the Wound in the Force there.
I remember sending an orb following a Force push in Force Unleashed PS2 edition. Overused it. Too much fun

I felt a great disturbance in the force. As if millions of toilets suddenly flushed in terror, and were suddenly silenced.
I remember playing Jedi Knight Dark forces 2 as a kid on the PC. I’m the game eventually it gives the option to learn either the light side or the dark side of the force. The dark side powers were super OP compared to the light side. Force destruction was amazing.

I'm taking Force Blast. Force storm seems too risky because I too could get sucked in, but the most Force Blast could do was burn my hand without me noticing. but my hand can eventually recover! and if it doesn't, the answer is force heal.
In relation to Force Destruction, while Force Burst is considered a telekinetic variant of it. Force Blast seems to be considered separate in most sources. Exar Kun used Force Blasts, but he was never known to use Force Destruction. Luke Skywalker also used Force Blasts in Fate of the Jedi.

Force Storm and Nathema. Both of these abilities are incredibly powerful, so much so that it makes me wonder, what would the Star Wars galaxy look like if just Nathema were a necessary technique to become the one Dark Lord.

Its funny how Force Storm is supposed to be something used by the most powerful of sith, yet in SWTOR its given to Sith Sorcerers around level 10.
A note about necromancy, the night sisters were able to maintain a ritual that animated the corpses of their fallen to fight against General Grievous when he arrived on their planet under the order of Duku as revenge for their attempt on his life. When Grievous killed the eldest matron and Mother Talsm retreated using some form of spectral transformation. Heck, the magic that the night sisters used had some incredibly advanced dark side powers integrated into it including a form of alchemy that fused living metal legs onto the torso of Maul after he was recovered from his madness on a trash planet I can't remember the name of. Imagine if Sidious used that kind of alchemy to reconstruct Vader's body, he truly would have been able to return with no negative side effects which leads me to believe that Sidious did not have the knowledge to pull off that kind of ritual.
He did take Vader as a disappointment but giving how he tried for years to find a replacement student after that, it makes me think that he didn't have a way to do that or he would have. Vader was still the chosen one and would have been capable of reaching near godhood which was Sidious and Plagus's ultimate goal when they accidently created Anakin

I'm wondering if the ability the bendu used was force storm. It seems that way.
Palatine tricked and manipulated Kylo Ren, REY and Finn(all force sensitive) to come to him.
Then he used Nathema on them and the dark side cults, gaining immortality and a new look.
Then disappeared for the time being.

Palpatine died in Episode 6. Everything else is bullshit of the highest order which ignores the rules on how the force actually works. Ican't even undertand why the original Dark Empire comic books were greelit.
"Palpatine had clones and sent his spirit to one of them", Literally impossible because Sith cannot become Force Ghosts, they are forever banned from the Cosmic Force. So he cannot send his soul or spirit to clones, specially when he fell into a ditch while being exploded by his own attack.

Force lightning....there was a real life earth man who used it. Inventor Nikola Tesla used to stand on a platform and send electric voltage through his body and out his finger tips. It looked a lot like the what the Sith did. His face never became messed up. Palpatine probably had that happen due to his nature.

After He did this thousand years later on Ziost, he traveled back in time to become Valkorion.

In the saga edition RPG thought bomb can be used by a single individual although it is much much weaker.
That's what happens with powers that no one ever passes on to others or no one is allowed to at least study to understand how they work.. an then allow everyone able to use them to die along with Also losing any an all such recorded knowledge of these ancient powers it's no wonder some techniques have been lost to galactic history. Don't at least keep a record of using it l, especially detailed, then you tend to lose it

Although I verily enjoyed this video on Force abilities, I have to disagree with the title.
I don’t think these abilities are extinct, rather just not well known throughout the galaxy due to the knowledge of said abilities most likely have been collected and sealed away by the Jedi or Sidious himself, or that no force user has dove deep enough into the force to communicate with the deceased who utilized these abilities
At that point, what is the practical difference? The idea itself and the knowledge of how to perform it may exist, but if no one actually uses it, or actively knows HOW to use it, then on a galactic scale, the power is extinct.
This is a case of 2 things being true at once. In terms of theoretical knowledge or lost archives, then the knowledge clearly does exist in some form.
In terms of practical usage, teaching or research, said powers are extinct

They were considered extinct because by the Rule Of Two Era, especially towards the end of it (Tenebrous, Plaguis, Sidious) no Sith were using them, so I guess it was in question whether they even could use such abilities anymore
The Bendu himself was able to create a Force Storm while trying to drive off the Empire and the Rebels from Atollon.
What about the technique that Darth Nihilus used to kill Kataar

We look at the powers of the Sith not realizing the Jedi can do the same at the same power level if they so choose. The Force must always have balance. Light and are dark are the same but it is the intention that creates its statement on our level of understanding. While what is light is about All while what is dark is about what is One. The later easier for the common person to understand and therefore hope for not knowing the stronger force is the idea of the greater but it takes true willingness to be courageous and wise as opposed unwise and afraid inside the self’s true self.
The problem with Jedi is their stupid code forbidding the offensive use of the force. They have enough control and output in their force abilties but they can only use force abiltities defensively. Meanwhile Sith can freely use theirs.
Jedi pretty much Handicap themselves every fight, to only depend on the lightsaber, or use force to defend themselves against a SIth's force abilities. It's actually stupid and show how emotionally vunerable the Jedi really are.

your wrong about many points about the ritual of nathema, including the pronunciation of the planets name. it wasnt vitiate who did that for instance. it was tenebrae. upon the completion of the ritual of nathema. he became both vitiate and valkorian at the same time. as he was so powerful at that point that he could split his consciousness into 3 distinct parts.
Still think one of the top abilities was making a star go nova with the dark side. Sun Crusher with only the mind.

I would be more than happy to practice NECROMANCY because technically you would commanding a never ending army unless the user of necromancy dies first
(don't not be fooled necromancy's true purpose is to use the dead to gain knowledge once you start weaponizing the dead that's when you are practicing the darker side to necromancy and become corrupt by the power of the dead)
And I can say with confidence that necromancy is technically the true path to living forever
Side note: depending on the source necromancy has the power to pry the soul of a individual and feast on it not just to gain power but extend their life and knowledge leaving the individual completely soulless
And a side effect of necromancy is just like with the sith
the more in depth you're with necromancy the more deformed you become with a difference instead of appearing still living necromancy literally start eating away the flesh from bone and the life from the body
(to the point the user has to rely on the dead and necromancy to remain alive)
So using necromancy is basically making a deal with death
You can given unnatural power beyond comprehension but at the price of your life and soul if used reckless
