exactly this. if they could SEE a tumor, then the rules of deadly sight would apply. you woudln't even have to see the tumor physically to focus on it. if you just had a 3d image scan of the inside of their body, it could possibly work as a focus. it could be focused on, and eliminated, without some form of chemotherapy. however this would take an inhuman amount of concentration to pull off and would likely get someone killed before that concentration could be learned.

Deadly sight is such an awesome power!! The way I see a light side variant happening is again a Plo Koon situation where the user just weakens the power enough to make it non-lethal or maybe somehow heal the person they see, but that would be require a lot more energy and focus to do. So here are 3 ideas for a variant of force sight for those loving long stories. Plus one of these is an even more powerful variant
Variant 1: force glare: a slightly weaker variant of force sight that is meant to stagger the foes instead of nearly killing them. However it would only be used as a means to escape if your going to lose or die and it is very easy to turn this into deadly sight
Variant 2: gorgon glaze (I know it’s an odd naming choice, but it rings quite well like Rancor rush): a far more devastating attack that is said to make the opponent be reduced to a hollow husk, almost like they’ve turned to stone. Yet there has been many accounts of people being reduced to nothing within minutes
Variant 3: healing eye: a variant that was made when a Jedi who lost both arms decided to heal a random bloke with his sight. By tapping into the light side of the force while staring he was able to heal this smuggler of any injury he has obtained from some bounty
With all these variants aside the question remains: how can deadly sight be adapted into a light side ability? Who knows as obviously there are many ways someone can do so and what way you think can work is clearly up to whatever the force wants us to do. Be safe from the Sith fellow practitioners of the force and may the force be with you

Generally force lightning is forbidden because it takes actual rage, hatred, and other intense dark side emotions to produce it. Master Plo and the others who could produce electric judgment were extraordinarily powerful and exceptions to this rule. Also electric judgment was not nearly as powerful as true Sith lightning. But generally to get lightning to fork from the tips of your fingers required an immense amount of dark side emotion which is why it was forbidden.

A Light Side version of "Deadly Sight" could work more along the lines of using one's Rightious Anger (Not the same Hate the Dark Side feeds on) To basically paralize and incapasitate an opponent non-lethally. Like if one were to see a murderer about to kill someone they would use the ability (I'll call it Judgement Sight in homage to Master Plo) and cause said murderer to be overwhelmed by the moral weight of his actions and simply dropps to his knees passivly. Not harmed but also unwilling to resist arrest as they know they diserve to be punished.

I think the Jedi order is corrupt and honestly I agreed when Sidious said they keep the best training and skills from you...every ability could be used for good, you pointed out GREAT uses and you don't have to kill anyone as long as you learn control. The order is hypothetical and I don't think any abilities should be off limits because if their Grand Master is good enough to be a Grand Master they shouldn't fear the force at all...just my opinion. Grey Jedi make more sense I'm with Ashoka, probably spelled that wrong, when she gets to battle Vader, and she says the dopest line EVER "I am no Jedi." I loved it, chills all over. The times we see the Jedi use Mind Tricks is to avoid conflict or to make people more trusting/accepting, which would be a highly regarded principle of the Jedi Order. Sith, however, are seen using a mind control technique to forcefully get information out of people (what Kylo was doing to Rey in TFA, along with using the force to knock her out) and the process seems to be quite painful for the victim as the knowledge is essentially torn from their mind.

Instead of Deadly Sight what about Healing Sight? With every Darkside Ability there should be an equal and opposite equivalent version of it.

  • @lydiaives733
    @lydiaives733 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

I do think deadly sight could be harnessed in a more jedi way. It seems deadly sight is driven by powerful intense emotions, If a jedi were to harness the level of intensity they could temporarily debilitate an opponent by causing extreme discomfort.
If master like yaddle had such ability, I do believe she would be a candidate for deadly sight to heal someone by gazing apon them. Her overwhelming compassion, empathy and need to help others could give have given deadly sight a jedi counter part. Only a truely selfless, caring and pure individual with the inate ability could hope to attune the sight to the lightside.
I would like to think the jedi counterpart to deadly sight might be called, Sight of Salvation. The users deep emotions of empathy, compassion, hope fills the gaze of user with the will of the light, anyone living being in the users gaze will be touched by the light and its will, the will of the light will judge the being against its standing with the force, healing any and all afflications, physical, mind or soul. If the light side deems a living being malignant in the force it will pass judgement to leave the individual to its fate. So the user of the sight of salvation will can not be tricked into healing individuals with illintent.

Maybe a light side version of deadly sight could be used to eliminate someone’s armour, for example. Or it could be used to destroy someone’s weapon . Or if someone is under an object that is too heavy for you to lift up with the force and your light saver is broken You could use this ability to remove the persons arm in order to free them especially if that object is going to be crushing their head next.

As a battle shonen manga junkie, I take conceptualizing the inverse of Deadly Sight as a challenge.
Potentially not a truly inverse, and or maybe a less aggressive version would most likely be similar to Conquers Haki.
Let’s call it “Eyes of Dominance”, a gaze to dominate one with the force.
A force user would have the ability to harness their emotions through their eyes onto an opponent and subject them to their will via the force.
Their eyes would channel force abilities and push, bind, and otherwise dominate others with just a glance. Potentially making it it more versatile than it’s counterpart. 10:54 Because of the nature of the ability, it’s mostly very easy to develop deadly sight when tapping into so many potent uses of the force.
Never knew there’d be a ocular force dojutsu, Fate Mystic Eyes would be another good comparison.

"Force Lightning" or Force Judgement" should be usable against non-living things, or in exceptional conditions a fight in which a Jedi faces overwhelming numbers of opponents. Again, for defence, never for attack. The difference here is the presence (or lack of) malice within the situation where it is employed. The same narrow case can be made for "Force Crush." as it is another ability that can be used in extreme situations for rescues and the conservation of life. Once again, intention is everything where a split-second decision must be made. May The Force be with us all.

There's no one move, probably, inherently dangerous in and of itself... A bit lacking in forsight or even general intellect an lack of enlightenment in building their own Temple.. over a major nexus of Sith darkness... But sure, go down with that starship.
The whole concept here's issue ISNT the power used.. would say it's more the organizations lack of overall in themselves and the Force they're supposed to be masters and experts at. This kinda thing among others was probably ALSO part of where the Clone Wars era Jedi Order went wrong. An perhaps eventually on EVERYTHING to the point even the Force had had enough prompting the events an story we got in addition to everything else.. an what about stuff that merely could be mistaken for an ability when really it's something else entirely like Force Choke For some specific Jedi or under specific circumstances? what if a Jedi merely reflected a lighting blast back at the caster? What about the use of moves forbidden like dismemberment or decapitation??? Think ALL of this has been seen before an the Order is selective according to what they want at the time. An deliberately will brush some such things off if they feel it suits them an their objectives at the time

A lightside version of deadly sight could very well exist. Although I feel like any lightside offshoot of this ability would have the opposite effect. I propose a name for such an ability, Healing sight. The force weilder channels their feelings of peace and compassion into another being through sight alone, healing the target of their sight drastically and temporarily imbuing them with enhanced vitality, vigor, and durability. Such an ability would be rare and quite taxing on the user as depending on the physical condition of the target it could potentially heal them from near death or imbue them with enhanced speed, strength and durability to get them through a battle.

A slippery slope is a fallacy. It argues that if one allows a little, a lot actually will ensue or follow. However, actions, events, things, etc., do not occur or happen as this claims.

My favorite dark side ability is the dark ritual Tsaiwinokka Hoyakut created by Dathka Graush. This complex spell animates both the freshly dead and the skeletons of the carrion fields, transforming them into an unstoppable legion impervious to pain and able to transmit a necromancy infection by biting.

I'm pretty sure that at this point in time, it was no holds barred. Destroying the Sith was all that mattered at this point. Obi Wan could've probably used any one of these forbidden abilities and gotten away with it.
