- In this video, I show you how I grease a Chinese mini excavator according to the 10-hour maintenance schedule. There are 16 lubrication points in total: 8 flush zerks and 8 standard grease zerks. The manufacturer advises using lithium grease for this task.
Parts used in this video on Amazon:
Quick connect grease coupler: #ad amzn.to/3XFFSqS
Flush zerk needle grease tip: #ad amzn.to/4daopLQ
Milton grease gun # ad amzn.to/4dN6Tyf
The grease I use is from Walmart, $5.32 a 14oz tube: Super Tech Moly-Lithium Extreme Pressure Grease. It is reasonably priced and has some additives to prevent oxidation and rust.

thumbs up👍Au💯full view always😎have a cool weekend🔆
Very important maintenance tips and grease points.
Well done. Question: where did you find the needle? I went to O’Rileys and they didn’t have any. The gun and fittings that came in the “toolbox “ are woefully inadequate. In fact, the grease gun fell apart. Thanks
Hi, I put links for the items in the video description. The ones that came in the tool box were pretty much disposable one time use, including the tool box. Thanks for watching and the comment!
@@madscientisthutI went back to ORileys and they had what I needed.
how to tighten the tracks?
Hi, I have not done a video on the tracks. Unfortunately we have about a foot of snow on the ground now, so it will be near spring before I do anymore stuff with the mini ex.
@madscientisthut Thanks.. we had a foot of snow here in South Louisiana as well! Record breaking..
Anyway, I found out that these tracks have to be tightened at the bolt. I have only tightened the tracks on my mini skid loader and you have to grease it. I was thinking it would be the same mechanism, but nope.. I was able to tighten it some, but I really need a smaller 16mm socket to tighten it well.
Thanks for the quick response. I have two mini excavators and one mini track loader, so I really appreciate videos like yours.
@jessespad Crazy amount of snow for you guys!
Switched to the PC; typing on the phone screen was too tricky. Thanks for watching-I really appreciate your comments! I've loosened the tracks on my mini excavator slightly from the factory setting, as the 1-inch gravel in the driveway was getting caught and stopping the tracks. After loosening them, that problem disappeared. Adjusting the tracks is a bit of a pain because there's not much room to work with. The locking nut is gigantic! I ended up ordering a long-tip crescent wrench, which works okay to get in there.
Any idea on greasing the turret?
