My dream home... Have seen this concept in other parts of the world... Finally we are catching up... Can we have a walk-around video of the house itself?
I am so so interested with this shipping container home experience! I always saw such houses in Australia, New Zealand it's cool to see such here in India too
It is Indian version of American show Tiny house nation. I loved it and i am happy this movement has started in India also..I hope other Indian cities adapt it too.
@@4_S_282 I agree. However, its not true for every case. I have followed many tiny house channels. I have seen many houses which are made from Shipping containers. There are few other concepts also where earth ships homes are made from Tyers and plasters. Few are made with tent kind of material. I think Tiny house fits into Large domain and they can of many types.
I love the initiative towards making environment loving living space😍, but also wonder, what happens when it rains heavily in Mumbai, or in case of any sort of natural disaster? or when it's too hot. How do we handle things under different circumstances?
Pls introduce this to Mumbai Municipal Corporation for Slum Rehabilitation in Dharavi. They must be looking at some better housing solution for the slum dwellers post Covid19
although the original idea of a container housing is to be cost effective, i think studio alternative is not about effective housing solution and its about eco living as they market, thats the reason container housing and tiny house movement is still an unaccepted subjet in india, the marketing is done wrong.
How shipping container home can be economic it is much more costly. We have to insulate it for air-conditioning do verious things to make it liveable. And metal is almost 100 recyclable .
But isn't recycling steel less energy intensive than manufacturing and processing of fresh raw steel? By that logic isn't recycling of steel containers a better alternative than fresh production of steel containers? Also wouldn't these structures heat up considerably in Indian weather?
This is nothing new. May be new in India but abroad especially in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA, the tiny house, or mobile or off-the-grid homes movements, using Shipping containers is the norm.
the idea that these houses are environmental friendly is dumb and for every cut you make in container you have to support the structure and the idea that they are cost effective is not true. we can agree that it is a temporary solution for housing crises in world but it is not permanent or sustaining solution. Personally I don't like the idea of living in metal box .
Every sunday I look forward to this channel upload about New India's nation positive attitude
Old ICF coaches of Indian Railways can be also be used in a creative way as it has already provision for bedding and functional loose...

foam insulation works fine, also adding windows helps a lot.
