Yo dude I literally just finished putting the QS on and it works. Appreciate the video dude made it a ton easier (I am crap at reading instructions) now off to (as much as we can cause the Belgian roads are terrible sometimes) enjoy my bike.
@@robertofernandes3493 yes i had the same problem. I just had to try it for like 10 minutes for it to eventually come up and work, that’s why there was a cut at the end of the video. If it is something else i will sadly not be of any help.
You can see on the 4th picture at 0:03, you have to be in neutral, hold the upshift to second gear, turn on the bike (not engine just turn the key) and hold the upshift for 10 seconds. I had to try about 5 to 10 times for it to actually come up on my screen. i tried moving the bike slightly forward for it to actually go into gear and stuff. So be patient it will eventually come 😅
I also installed it on my '23 but unless you give it the beans, the shift is not smooth at all. I've seen videos with after market shifters and they are butter smooth, maybe a nice tune will do the trick...
true, on low speed the quick shifter isn't that great, but if at around 3-4k rpm while giving a little gas, it is very good. I'll upload a video showing a little how I ride with it.
I just did this on my 24 mt07. Isn’t working for. I bought the Yamaha quick shifter and installed it today. I held the shifter up and turned the key. Got the QS icon. I took the bike for a ride. Bike runs fine in first. Get on the gas and click into second. Bike loses all power and bogs down badly. Pull in clutch and bike idles really low almost stalling. Turn off bike and put it in neutral. Start up and it runs fine but does the same thing when I start riding. I unplugged the quick shifter and the bike runs perfectly fine. Any ideas?
Thanks a lot for the video! helped me so much during the QS installation. Kudos!

This de serves more views. All the other videos on this isn't good. Well done!
are there torque specs available for the bolt for the seat and the tank cover? cant find them in the owners manual.
@@jipper9 I don’t think so, I just tightened it on feeling.
hello, I bought my shifter but when I connected it to the connector I did not have QS on the meter even when doing up shift hold

@ yes you do it when it’s on neutral and after you hold up when you put contact im doing that and don’t works 🥲🥲
Hey mate how did you programme it to show up on the dashboard?

@@sadyoshixd thanks! Do you engage 2nd gear fully and keep it held or do you press slightly just before you’d otherwise be in 2nd??
@@italianstallion701I think I tried to fully engage, but like I said, I had to try multiple times, so I could be wrong.
Is this the same connector of the USB charger?!
No, this of a specific plug for the quick shifter.

This might be a production issue, but I’m not certain about that. Best thing to do is to probably get it looked at by a professional.
Think it would be the same on my 2020 mt07?
@@ikemitch2498 no, I think the quickshifter plug is only from 2023 models and up
❤❤❤❤❤
thx i have 2022 mt07. same connector location?
oh...I checked
No, 2022 models don’t have this connector. Only from 2023 models and onwards.
@@sadyoshixd thx!!!!
