It's crazy how good Kubo was at conveying the speed of the battle in his drawings to the point where it's as good as the anime adaptation, whereas most animes convey speed better than their manga source. Hell, I think the manga panal where Ichigo deflects the million blades looks cooler than the anime version! Kubo is a hell of an artist!

For anyone interested, I've seen a few other Manga/Anime fight comparison videos, and I'd have to say the only other fight where I think the manga does better than the anime is the Goku vs Vegeta fight durring the Saiyan Saga. Anyone else who sees this should definitely check out that vid!

Ichigo didn't want to kill Byakuya, he wanted to *defeat* him and make him change his beliefs (regarding Rukia's execution, family traditions and all that stuff)

Killing doesn't exactly means winning. Yes, he had the chance to kill Byakuya, but it would change nothing in the end. His goal was to defeat him and prove him wrong, and someone can only be proven wrong, if they're alive
