He lost everyone i always thought why he was a bastard arrogant character..but after soul society arc and zanpakuto arc i really understood why he was so unhappy person... byakuya actually lost everything he loved and he should live with a code he never wanted but was his duty to uphold... he was an aristocratic figure and he never let anyone to harm his pride or his duty. man of his word very cool captain
As I’m rewatching the series I feel he is more of a representation of formality or etiquette of Japanese/soul society. He was just following the rules of soul society and his dialogue was always in line with that and he never particularly rubbed more salt in the wounds of his opponents than he needed too. He would just tell them that they’re too weak. The most resentment/pettiness he showed in his fights was not with ichigo renji but with Yoruichi when she escaped him. Such a good story of him hisana and the the contradiction of his two oaths
He had so much respect for Ichigo to the point where not even someone who has inserted themselves in his most crucial moments in life could make him turn his back on Ichigo. Wow.
I wish they would tell the story of how he met his wife and how they fell in love and I find it disappointing how they never incorporated it into the story we also don’t even know the illness that she died of or how she even got sick all we know is that they were married for five years and all that time she was looking for her sister who is she a been married for 5 years that’s all we know about her
I think they did but not with so many details..he wanted to marry a pure soul but hisana was very ill before she met him Months b4 she die asked for byakuya to find rukia and adopt her even against his familys rules

Byakuya means ichigo was the 1st enemy to live and engage byakuya with this technique What he really meant was the 2nd person to see it because probably when he finally aquired bankai his grandfather helped him master it

I thought Byakuya was an asshole as a kid. But it's more so that he is socially inept and wants to set an example for the ruling class. He wants to follow the laws to show that he is immune to corruption even if he disagrees with the judgment.
Spolierrr alert (manga spoilers) Byakuya kuchiki is my favorite character in anime seen his past how much he loves hisana and cares about her and take the duty of his clan and protect the soul society as a captain it make him a wonderful character especially when he fights He fights with confidence and intelligence and calmly he has many techs such as his shikai and his bankai has a lot of form (senbenzakura kagyoshi gokei senkei hakutaki and his secret weapon ikka senjinka ) he took out zommari yammy along with kenpachi s help . Koga tsukishima and the clones in the manga he got stronger than ever master the true nature of his shikai and evolve his bankai took as nodt along with 4 other quincys candice and the other 3 protect rukia from as nodt as always fight along with zaraki and toshiro the elite quincy but sadly he didn't have a major role in the novel byakuya is really my favorite character in the whole anime hope we see a lot in tybw and novel arc

Byakuya kuchiki is my favorite character in anime seen his past how much he loves hisana and cares about her and take the duty of his clan and protect the soul society as a captain it make him a wonderful character especially when he fights
He fights with confidence and intelligence and calmly he has many techs such as his shikai and his bankai has a lot of form (senbenzakura kagyoshi gokei senkei hakutaki and his secret weapon ikka senjinka ) he took out zommari yammy along with kenpachi s help . Koga tsukishima and the clones in the manga he got stronger than ever master the true nature of his shikai and evolve his bankai took as nodt along with 4 other quincys candice and the other 3 protect rukia from as nodt as always fight along with zaraki and toshiro the elite quincy but sadly he didn't have a major role in the novel
byakuya is really my favorite character in the whole anime hope we see a lot in tybw and novel arc
