Never understood why he didn’t simply put the command “do my bidding whenever I ask” to everyone so that he could circumvent the one command rule. But I guess that as Geass gives to every weilder a power that stems from their most intimate desire, he was to proud to let even Geass to be the sole reason of his success. Lelouch had somehow to prove himself he could reach his purpose even without his power.

For one thing lelouch did not know how if there was an upper limit to how many people he could control at one time, opening him up to the risk that he may not be able to control everyone at once. Secondly, geass appears to impede problem solving or just generally make its victims somewhat mindless. Brainless puppets would make bad soldiers against a foe as powerful as brittania. Third, he had to be incredibly specific with his commands because he could only ever use his grass on a person once. The possibility of a loophole, misunderstanding or bug in the way they follow his orders could prove unpredictably catastrophic, something he cannot afford

I just realized that geass chages , at the beginning, it was just a small part of the puple, eventually became his iris, and than hi whole eye, than the area around it turns purple, and than it took control, unable to turn it off, eventually, it grows in r2 with the area around the geass flowing, than the geass starts flowing, it transferred to the other eye. Geass doesn't just have the three stages, it's kind of like a susano'o
not really tbh, the first geass ever used was normal sized. it's just that the one he used with the blue haired girl (idr her name, something like chitase) was intentionally made small, probably a simple experiment by the artists to find out which one looks better edit: and yes, it does look slightly bigger, but that's because the art style evolved and the eyes were made bigger as a whole. lelouch in first ep had weird eyes and now they're round and sharp

The geass that hurt the most was the one that received Euphemia. It is traumatizing to see that scene and see her force her to do something that is completely contrary to her virtues. It is as if she had been raped in her mind. Turn someone pure into impure, a good person in a bad one, an innocent person in a criminal, a holy person in a sinner, an angel into a demon. And to top it off we see that she resists, that she doesn't want to do that, but can't, she is forced. This is unforgivable. It is impossible to believe that Susaku has forgiven Lelouch for that vile and despicable act. Nunnally also resists Geass, but at least she is not forced to do something as horrible as what Euphemia does.
