- I talk a lot about bad IDs on this channel, but this will be the last time for...at least 1 video. The question of worst ID is somewhat hotly debated, so I figured I would throw my hat in the ring and give my thoughts and perspective.
And, no I will never stop bullying Zwei Sinclair.

I feel like Sloshmael was some act of cosmic balance for how good the other Ishmael IDs are.
Then where's Hong Lu's balance???

@@adam17tt I am convinced Hong Lu will never have a bad ID. His W Corp ID makes bad charge IDs incredible, his Kurokumo Wakashu has very good damage and okay clash, Ting Tang is Ting Tang, it's just pretty solid and K-corp can solo MD2H more easily than any ID. As for Liu, I use him in burn teams and that's funny. Even base Hong Lu is crazy good at keeping high sanity.

Mariachi Sinclair my beloved... it's such a funny identity, and has one of my favorites since the beginning, but it suffers so much from the lack of aggro and the fact that his skill 3's really fun gimmick does nothing when you have the starlight reward in MD2. The changes made to defensive skills early on in Limbus really hit funny evade tanking hard, especially since Mariachi Sinclair has far too low speed to get his evade to go early in normal fights.
At least he's uniquely suited for sinking MD2H. He's a solid option as one of the 2 starter 00 IDs as he has the best sinking application of any of the 00s, has a S3 with really good, free clash power, and is tanky enough with high health (200+) with blunt resistance so that even if messes up and takes damage he'll be able to take much more of a beating than others.
Sloshmael has no upsides, you can only use her as a punching bad when you dont have enough good ids

It's going to be epic when a new EGO comes out that randomly fits some of these IDs so well that they become good.
That last part you said about new players, there are SO many players out there that like Mariachi because he's funny and saved their ass in Canto 3; they probably have a special place for him in their hearts.
I had no idea Chef Gregor was considered so bad.. at the very least, whenever I can get him, I do want to use him as a support, so it still works out.

While some of the things in defense of Sloshmael have been said already, I think it's worth compiling some of the upsides. Most of these actually are regards to a Tremor team, since I don't think she holds up anywhere else as a tank or as a unit. She does generate her own EGO resources, which if you look at a full tremor team (and not including just splashing good units irrelevant to the status) none of them generate wrath except base Heath and N Don. While her rewards for eating hits or losing clashes are minimal, she does give some support to losing while also just simply being a tank in the archetype. She also clashes better than any other Tremor unit with her S3, so if you needed to win without using an EGO, it's there and you'd live with it griefing you if you need to win that clash. There's also good synergy here with activating Snagharpoon early for both losing and as a clash winning EGO button if needed.
In comparison, LCCB has some huge upsides but equally mediocre rolls and the same offence level. Only her S2 is a big win without tremor already stacked, and her passive gives Tremor generation equivalent to Slosh on wins (assuming all hits). Her guard roll is lower and she's ammo limited. I understand why LCCB is run and I don't think it's invalid, but in the restricted analysis of Tremor units only, I don't think the comparison is as big a distance as a it seems. Still, generally speaking the Rosespanner/Tremor units don't clash that well and it's nice to have a tank working at least some of the time to redirect.
I'd probably vote for BL Outis, as a standalone unit she doesn't build her own Poise well at all, nor generate EGO resources for her own ego. She loses on utility for passives since trash encounters rarely need the boost and if you're in the final stretch for bosses, you probably don't need it at all. Clashing is decent but nowhere near good, and it's too hard to trigger anything she has going on. Bad alone, bad in her archetype, bad as support. You'd have to sell me hard to convince me she's better than Slosh in her own archetype, putting aside that Tremor is quite bad if you commit fully to it.

I use Sloshmael, and currently it's my only uptie 4 (fite me!).
In most of my teams I have her and Rosespanner Rodya. This way, on top of tanking, passively, Slosh helps boosting Rodya's 2 and 3 by slowly building up Tremor.
Also Slosh's 3 is a decent clasher, 22 is nothing to sneeze at. None of the others you mentioned can really clash imo.
Sloshmael is a punching ball, and she's good at that. You're probably right about her not fitting a Tremor team but... Frankly, I wouldn't play a pure Tremor team.
Yeah, I really don't think she's worse than Mariachi/Chef. The whole tremor thing is a bit of a headscratcher but she's a decent, functional tank who at least rolls double digits in clashes. She also has a gloom s1 and a wrath s2, and if you want both of those together purely for sin gen she's the only useable option. Her overall problem though is, 'what team wants this ID on it, but not one of Ishmael's other ID's?' Tremor? No. Charge? LOL. Sunshower? No. Sinking? LOL. Etc.
I used Sloshmael on Canto V and helped a lot to cover when there is impossible clash wins. At uptie 4, even if she loses a clash she gives debuffs to the enemy, making it kinda good to cover others and still build that tremor up. And if she doesn't do any damage, she wins a shield so... It's bassicaly meat fooder for that kinda of clashes.

I have a soft spot for sloshing Ishmael because it was one of the first IDs I got when I started playing and was using through most of chapter 3. It was even the first ID I uptied to tier 3 of all things.
Eventually though, I stopped using it because her other IDs are much better and more fun to use (Liu my beloved).
Base ID Heathcliff has carried me trough so much I recite Body Sack's voice line with him on instinct....

Well, Sloshish really is not the worst ID. She has:
1) 57/98 place as avg clasher. And s3 also works against most enemy skills in MD2 Hard.
2) Very solid def stats (best one Def stat among ALL 00 and is equal to 000 tanks (40)), top 5 HP (199) on par with base Salt
3) easy-triggered passive skill
4) Noice tremor-rupture support passive
5) aggro
6) 2-7 speed
7) passive damage boost for the team for losing clashes without any condition
Btw, Tremor is bad because most enemies have only 1-2 stagger thresholds, and you can't always setup big damage in stagger. After that, Tremor doesn't do anything if some characters don't have procs from burst. So her S3 is just another way to spend Tremor Count (sadly, that team is not really ready yet).
While BL Outis and Sinclair have a lot lesser positive sides...
And Sloshma>N Corp Salt no diff

You might be able to make Mariachi work with Peqod Ish, and Sloshmael is a decent option for Ricardo.

The only use for sloshmael is replacing all her skills with skill 3 in mirror dungeon and using her as a clashing slave(or solo hard mode bull if you are mentally insane)

I'm still holding onto my belief that base Rodion is the worst ID in the entire game (ESPECIALLY at Tier 3), but Sloshing Ishmael is still pretty terrible, yeah.
I object to Sloshmael being the worst cause shes based on Fairy Gentleman and Fairy Gentleman is one of the absolute best characters ever created in fiction........
I love the idea of chef IDs, but I dont like Ryoshu. I wish Chef Gregor was good so I could have a good chef ID for a character I like.

For me sloshing ishmael is like my favorite punching bag. Everything else in her kit tho is mid as you say.
i agree slosh ishmael and mariachi clair are the worst but in mirror dungeons slosh is better than mariachi if u build with the rosepanners and the ego gifs of tremor. is obviously only one thing. but its a thing. mariachi clair doesnt have that in.
so. if we take the mirrors as an option mariachi has really no use outside sinking and compared the number of effects on the abilities its worse.
however ish has the boatswork id with tremor so. meanwhile ish has a sustitute id for tremor clair doesnt have a sink sustitute so.
again. slosh ish is worse than clair sink overall for that.
in resume for me if we compare the two ids directly slosh is better than mariachi. but if we compare the sinner and overall mariachi is still better.
chef gregor is in other terms do to all u say and still in hes event he worked really well and i think thats important to take in consideration.

I'm surprised you put BL Outis there, her support passive is by far one of the most reliable ones out there, and considering in-fight usage I'd say she can still hold to herself without even Poise
Maybe not on MD2H Floor 5, but more simpler stages.
It really feels like Chef Gregor was destined SPECIFICALLY for the Chicken event and nowhere else. His kit is built with high speed, low clash, paralysis, and wanting to target high bleed count enemies, that all combined together to make his "thing" that he goes first during a turn, targets an enemy, then a slower ally aggro's away the actual clash, allowing Gregor to "prepare the dish" for his ally with paralysis to weaken them for the ally, or extra bleed count to make them really hurt once the clash starts. Which, that was a big aspect of the Chicken event too, the Bongys were insanely tough to clash with, encouraging you to have slower allies aggro away clashes, and stagger the enemy before they could even try to clash anyone.
But with only 3-7 speed, it means he REALLY needs bind to actually consistently go faster than other Sinners and the enemies, given 3-6 is the standard DPS speed range, and most actual high speed characters are in the range of 4/5-8, which his only source of bind is his S2. Even his "random debuffs GO" base Ego can't inflict Bind whatsoever. And, all of this is in addition to the problem of "Why not just use someone who can do all that, but without so many hoops and also can clash?" Plenty of other Ids can inflict paralysis next turn, can clash well in the first place, and even assuming Gregor gets his +2 bleed count on an enemy with an assload of un-triggered bleed, counting the damage from his skills themselves, other IDs can can still deal way more damage, all at the same time.
He's an interesting concept for a support, literally a sous-chef that prepares the enemy for the "main chef" to deal with. But he sacrifices being an actually strong ID in order to embody that concept so "perfectly" that he ends up being outclassed at his own job by other IDs that aren't even trying to do that(7YiSang, NFaust, uptie4 Wfaust). Even KKRyoushu does a better job at "going first to soften enemies up for allies to clash with later", and she's basically designed to be a pure damage dealer unit!
Aggro wasn't even a thing back then, so he was just used because you got more event points by having him in your team, that and for legerdemain spam
I hadn't even considered the thematic parallels. That's kinda cool that he does prepare the enemy to be 'cooked'. It's a shame he is trash in spite of what could have been an interesting design philosophy. Don't know why he was the first one to have Myo's Prowess at home either...super strange.
To be honest I can't hate chef Gregor. Yes he's practicaly useless in a fight nowadays (or very niche at the very least), but his support carried me through the early days of Mirror dungeon hard mode, by giving me a lot healing with chef Ryoshu. (back when I wasn't using a full Liu team).
Chef Greg is why I was so happy we didn't need the Boatworks IDs in our battle party for the bonus he was so worthless vs the boss I had him strictly on bongy killing duty which he still had issues with.
Sorry to erm actually a week old comment but erm actually the person you replied to didn't mean the aggro mechanic added recently. Rather they were referring to the ability to direct an enemy's skill with a clash and hit under it with a second skill. When gregor and the other id are both faster than the target you can choose which clashes, and if gregor is faster than the other id his unopposed attack will go first and apply paralyze, allowing the second id to get an easy attack

@@lachlanmccormick3486 Not any one specific thing, but just, they do a terrible job at a lot of things, including not actually reviewing the IDs in their review sections, and really don't seem to understand many of the IDs properly. As just one example, their entire review for why Nfaust is in A tier, is entirely talking about how terrible she is compared to her other IDs now that uptie 4 have come out. It explains literally nothing, seems to misunderstand why she's still a very strong ID, and somehow has both "Decent clash" as a positive at the same time as "struggles with clashing".
Given how genuinely their best usage as a website is just for quickly seeing all of a Sinner's uptie 4 skills and stats on a single page, the community naturally has quite the stockpile of laughs to be made at their expense.

No I think you went too easy.
Chef Gregor is an event ID that you have to earn, every other ID shown that could be worse you can at least get at any time. You have to earn your Sous Chef so that he can be benched while the other event ID Chef Ryoshu can actually do the cooking. What actually annoys me is that he's so close, SO CLOSE, to being just an average Gregor ID. If that Skill 3 was 1 coin power higher he basically be the same as his fellow IDs who all have 3-4 coins , and be on par with Lui Gregor at least, but no he has to have 1 coin power with a caveat that might as well not exist.
Yes he has an even better version, purely because Lust is more common, at the moment who know of the future, of the sin affinities, but the fact that the only reason you can want him is something EVERYONE already has lowers him in my eyes. The only thing he's got going for him is that his animations look and sound so good, but that's not a reason to use him.

...On paper I can see why Project Moon wanted his coins to be lower, all those effects do look good, but they forgot that if the skill can't clash for at least a 50/50 it's probably not going to be used in human fights and for abno. Also being good in Abno fights I don't think is an upside to anyone, I can't think of an ID that's bad in those type of fights.
Just to answer last question: "better at abno fight" translates to "suffer from no focused clash" which is a problem many ids have. It's the human fight that has major flaws, not that ids are better or worse in human fights.
I think human fight now is miserable and should have an option to be focused, I want to rip my hair out every time I see my W Ryosyu can only S3 a staggered enemy but not ones that clash for like 25.

Well I do basically agree with you about Sloshmael. I will say there is 1 small thing she has going for her. She is basically a strict upgrade to Base Ishmael(not a high bar I know). They both have the same damage type, sin affinities, and they both do tremor, but sloshing has an easier time fueling her base EGO with having gloom and wrath as skills 1 & 2 respectively. There are very few situations where you'd pick Slosh over LCCB, but hey it's something
I guess she's supposed to be a reference to LobCorp in that case, since you have no real reason to use Fairy Festival's ego outside of a direct upgrade for base agents early in the game

Sloshing Ishmael felt like Project Moon didn’t really know what her kit should’ve been so they stow it in a pot and sprinkled random stuff until it birthed this terrible ID.
I think it would’ve been cool if Slosh Ishmael borrowed similar mechanics from Fairy Gentleman like she could’ve give your team morale boost for huge damage potential but suffer from tipsy later and a side of (actual) tremor support. Maybe morale boost could also affect the enemy side as well like how the talisman from talisman Sinclair work as both a positive and negative effect. I really wished that Project Moon put more thought into her ID and I hope that her kit gets reworked someday.

the fake out on who the real worst was got me ngl. I wasn't keeping up to date on whos uptie 4s were good, so i just assumed when you didnt show sloshing at first i assumed got a good ut4... at least ishmael's 000s are all really good
All other 00s are great too, lccb is bread and butter of tremor and rupture teams while also being able to paralyze enemies if you give her haste, meanwhile sheesh becomes id with damage and clashing close to that of nsinclair at below 50%
00 has so many strong ids that can compete with 000. I built a rupture team with LCCB Ishy, Talisman Sinclair, Seven Ryosyu, Seven Yi Samg, Seven Outis, Rosespanner Gregor and K corp Hong Lu. It contains 5 00 and this team does rupture really well. Tbf I get Thunderbranch at the start, but I think you'll be fine without it.
Also all 00 in the team are already great, sans maybe Gregor outside rupture team.
Tbh it the hardest thing abt finding bad ids is that you can make them work if you try hard enough xD
Really in that case then, the way you find something "bad" is to find the ones you need to try the hardest to make them work. Ex: I have the jankiest team as my main content clearing team, featuring Spicebush, Liu Ishmael, and NClair, with W Don and whoever else I feel like bringing that day (most of the time it's Rsault or Liu Hong Lu) and a lot of the time the extra ID barely does anything as the main four, each with a *completely different synergy* end up doing perfectly fine together, clearing me through all the main content of the game. I've never really experienced any genuine difficulty except for 5 seconds vs Kromer, but then I realized "Oh, I just need to learn to clash LOL" and she died horribly.

You really had me there with Sinclair, you made me forget how bad Sloshmael is. No ID should want to lose a clash, just to inflict a little extra status. Its a shame as she has such a neat S3 animation for such a bad ability.

Sorry man but I don't understand how Sloshmael could be the worst when you could ignore her gimmick and still be better off than dealing with Cook Greg's crap, I guess paralyze is pretty useful but Gregor has an ego that inflicts it, which could actually be combined with a better and speedier ID.

that yield my flesh to claim their bones event helped out LCCB rodion a bit since stuff like jun's "Rules Of The Backstreets" is a defense skill
that event also helped BL outis by providing more units that give others poise (mainly BL don and meursault)

Do I regularly use Mariachi Sinclair? ...no. But I still love him.
Do not worry you are certantly aren't the only one, but I'm less of a Mariachi fan but more of a Mariachi enjoyer as Jefe is my numero uno.
And he absolutly can be useful if you build a team around him + he's great at soloing most of the bosses
And yeah.... also I use him cuz I hate to use the only other and coincidentaly my first 000 Sinclair ID - The N corp one

From a reasonable video it turned out to be extremely biased at the end. Of course the problems of Sloshing Ishmael you've mentioned are legit and very bad, but at least she can clash better that those previous guys, and well, i guess she can tank. She is certainly bad, but I wouldn't say she is the worst among the worst. That was just your outrage on her. Sure, her usage is stupid, but i'd still rather use her than those previous candidates.
By the way, i'm surprised that Red Sheet Sinclair didn't make it here. Even after the fix, he is still terrible. I don't remember ever seeing anyone using him.

Feel like Mexican Sinclair is a unit built to spend sinking tbh. Multihit that help prolong sinking abit and keep in mind that back then there're no sinking deluge yet.
Now that I think about how come it sinking that get stuff like sinking deluge considered sinking is pretty easy to trigger and some stuff deserve it more like burn.

personally i still don't see an use for bl outis, if sloshing ishmael can at the absolute least function as a tank while bl outis struggles to function as anything without needing someone else to fuel an ego for her i'd say she takes the cake, mariachi sinclair and chef gregor manage to be better because their support passives are perfectly usable and have a place
It kinda comes down to BL Outis being just below average as a damage dealer. Her skill 3 is just not great, not the worst. Her 2 slash DMG up means she deals even better damage…it’s weird to talk about when the ID is still really bad, but her clashing is far better and her damage is more reliable even without the poise. That’s why she was an easy elimination, she’s consistently below average. The other two (three) don’t even have that luxury sometimes.
Hopefully that makes sense.

I think if sloshmael had an ability that also added rupture COUNT based on the current tremor count, the ability to turn tremor into rupture would have some merit. As it stands though, not really
worst id can change anyway overtime when they add new ones that happens to be worse than the current one, there's no point of making this video

I remember trying to use Mariachi Sinclair against Kromer back when the game first released. I switched to Base Sinclair and had a better time.
While I do not think Sloshy Ishy isnt the worst ID because of her okay damage output I do agree that if an ID is going to have effects based around losing clashes those effects need to be actually worthwhile and not inflicting weak status effects.

Los Mariachis Sinclair sure is pretty awful. However, in his defense I want to say that at least he can be used as a glorified utility dispenser for sinking teams. In a setup with Spicebush Yi Sang + Molar Boatworks Ishmael he kinda rocks. In my opinion he is just excruciatingly niche. I would rather use him at the last floor of my MD2H run than G-corp Outis simply because they both are unable to clash properly most of the time, so at least he has more HP and applies sinking. I mean, at least be unironically helpful at some rare occasions :/

Nah, Chef Greg is worse and his ONLY use is support passive in MD2H for those who lacking in Fluid Sac department but has Chef Ryoshu.

Their bottom tier is honestly alright. The problem is who they place near the top, and their reasoning for most of the placements not really making sense, at least in my opinion.
An example that really irks me is Ncliff being below NRodion, and Nfaust being in that same tier as NRodion. Makes you wonder if they even play the game…

i would like to defend slosh ishmael but this kind of one side big paragraphs dont help a lot, and i doubt neither of us would change a lot its opinion after talking, this should need something like discord or a live chat, UNTIL at the end of the video cut everything clean: even the worst ID can play a decent to important part on each party, and thats why this game is good, even the worst units can works wonders on its proper scenario. I remember games like gbf or epic seven where there is 100+ chars and when you look for worst chars, you can get a truck of them and need another one to keep counting, this game leaves you open to experiment and make worth units like the 4 you mentioned here. Only 1 last thing, you should try to make a video considering what a md2h f5 boss is, because when i see average rolls being at 14-16, i cry my inner self.

I think Mariachi Sinclair is worse than slosh Ishmael however slosh Ishmael is definitely the most pointless as there’s so many better Ishmael. IDs including the base.

Great video! although i DID expect the twist at the end as a once LCCB ishmael addict, sloshmael is straight up just a horrible version of LCCB ishmael with slightly better clashes and slightly better tankyness, yet still is somehow 60 times worse, I honestly wish she wasnt a tremor unit and instead was a fairy wine unit, because getting drunk sounds like a fun mechanic instead of...that but yeah, very hyped for the next video! good luck making it, for i WILL, be stating my opinions on YOUR opinions whenever it comes out!
