It is simple Peter. Look at those on the new list of sanctioned people, we can all agree there are all billionaires. Those people can actually afford to go to the US and invest in assets there, not corrupt CCC mayors who majority are not even millionaires. It is clear the listed people aren't the only individuals looting from the country or government, but the intention was to use the 'big fish' as the prime examples since it is both more convenient and practical.
Thats a good move, sanctions do not work. They punish all of us, especially the poor. Because if the president targeted fails to rule, the challenges cascade to the people of zimbabwe. That's unfair to all the innocent and defenceless people of zimbabwe.
