- The rescue and recovery mission at the scene of the collapsed George building is finally complete. The construction site has now been handed over to the Department of Employment and Labour.

We call those Ghost workers. They do it to invoice the main contractor inflated figures. They must investigate that.

those 5 guys could have work for sub contractors, they dont have one site that they work on. subcontractor come lunch time to take them to another site, subcontractors work for more than one main contractor.
How were they paid ?

Maybe they work at two sites. Mondays on one and Tuesday on the next.
Living in South Africa something is not right about 19 bodies not found, the is always drama.
5 of the reported missing have been found working on another building site and did not report to those in charge that they were still alive.
The 19 saw what happened after lunch and ran away

Have you watched this? There is no more rubble and the site has been cleaned and secured. The missing 19 could well have never been there after lunch at 2pm last Monday.
Nee, syfer was verkeerd. Die bestuurders en kontrakteurs maak nommers op en raai ipv weet. Van daai mense het etenstyd na ander konstruksie beweeg so al was 19 nog vermis was hulle nie eers daar en seker nie eers geldig in die land nie.
Nee, daar is nie. Alles is uitgegrawe, selfs die fondasie. Daar is verwarring oor hoeveel mense op die terrein was, maar uiteindelik is die syfer 62 toe die gebou ineengestort het. Dit is moeilik want mense verlaat soms n terrein om iets te gaan doen en soms skuif n sub kontrakteur werkers gedurende n dag van een terrein na n ander wanneer hulle by meer as een projek betrokke is. Maar wees gerus, daar is niemand meer daar nie.
Gaan kyk die hele video maar, dan sal jy die korrekte inligting leer sonder om 'assumptions' te maak.

A lot of construction companies in the garden route specifically in Plettenberg bay closed down and made way for these sub contractors because they cheap and they take whatever they can get ....our brothers who worked for big companies are now jobless the only people who get jobs are the people who are here illegally because they cheap and have no choice but to take whatever ....same thing is happening in the garden service companies they all illegal emigrants working for them and this needs to stop its disgusting....cheap labour now has caused bitterness in our society's and our people we devided South africans are out of jobs same as hospitality industry its a shame I say they must go back get proper documents and come back to work
