As a South African that does not like the ZANU PF government in Zimbabwe simply because they have abused the human rights of their own people........ American and Western sanctions are BS. If Zimbabweans want to change their government then that is up to them. Not up to any foreign government to decide. Regardless of how I feel about that government. America and the West need to grow up and accept that many people and countries have different opinions, different politics, and points if view. You cant bully and force everyone to agree with you, and see things your way.
But this is the problem right here, don't you see? Your apartheid media keeps telling you the western overexargerations about the excesses of Zanu PF. It was never about human rights, but about the land. It's no coincidence that the government was fine until they repossessed the land that sanctions were immediately imposed.
You are very shallow minded. Sanctions were a result of land reform which was meant to scare South Africa from doing the same. We survived though regardless. Miners were shot in SA by police ( Marikana) wasn't that human rights abuse. Have full knowledge of the matter before writing madoda.
@@Mantshali-m7d of course it was about the land. I agree with you. But there are ways to do it my friend. Most people don't disagree that land reform needs to happen. And we know it happened because a number of cases were filmed and captured on video for all to see. And the other problem I have is with the ZANU PF letting their people go hungry and be poor while their leadership was living in the lap of luxury during that time. That's just not right. Land reform in Zimbabwe could have been carried out in far more fair and equitable ways. Without violence , and without helping to destroy the economy (obviously the Western sanctions played a part too). You point out that it's about the land .....but it was also about the ZANU PF losing support and being in danger of losing the elections. So they jumped on the land issue not because they necessarily cared about it (the top members/leadership of the ZANU PF own plenty of land). He is a propaganda, he tells half baked truth and he thinks too highly of himself. He is also selling Zimbabwe for the image that is not. Zimbabwe is a little land locked country in the SADC, is an important country like any country but is not as important as he is selling it
The global majority never campaigned against Zimbabwean sanctions, stop making assumptions. SADC especially South Africa played a big role in denouncing sanctions from Thabo Mbeki to Ramaphosa, as well as China and Russia. They stood up for Zimbabwe at the UN, vetoing against the USA. The rest of the world didnt care much.
@Bourne-fu8bz, even if the global majority didn't actively campaign for sanctions to be lifted, the threat of the global majority moving away from the US and towards China is enough to make the US reconsider the sanctions. With Houthies blocking the Red Sea, the route around Africa has become very important, including ports in South Africa, so they are looking to create some kind of insurance for themselves. This is still good news for Zimbabweans but will they forget what the US did? Will they start taking orders from it now to show their gratitude for being unsanctioned by one who sanctioned you?
that doesn't even make sense. Sanctions in Zim have little influence and Zimbabwe is a weak nation by geography, is a land locked nation that is barely industrial, they have no access to any ocean while SA has two oceans. South Africa is continental leader and power house, the two countries cant be compared. Its South Africa that fought for years for removal of zimbabwe sanctions because is SA economy that has to support and feed zimabweans in the middle of sanctions
The US do not need any assurances for ships to sail along our waters. SA will have to charge to service those ships so there is an incentive. Besides, it is highly unlikely that SA would want to block or attack any ship on our water or international waters. We have no reasons to
No SA law would not allow it to just block ships without reason or due process. Attacks do not have to be physical, they could accuse SA of something else without proof again. USA is looking to find allies in Africa to use against sovereign states, who don't take orders from them, like South Africa. Kenya and Rwanda are already under their heavy influence. Well why cry against a country if you can do business with the whole rest of the world? Sanctions were just an excuse for corruption and they didn't even include trade sanctions.
The only reason the US has removed the sanctions is because they have realized that arch rival China has made significant roadways to Zimbabwe and as a matter of fact , Zimbabwe was starting to recover even with the sanctions...
Now, Zim needs to REVALUEATE thier $, so to be "on par" with the dollar...1=1...Then Zimbabwe WILL TAKE OFF! They have a plethora of natural resources...not to mention tonnes of gold to "back" thier $!! GOOD NEWS!!
Wishing-well positive-thinking blessings are useless!! Zimbabwe has a massive trust deficit. Where is the external auditor for this so-called gold? An internationally-accepted auditor is needed. If a team from PWC or similar came from Johannesburg with approved assayers, that would certainly help. Also, Zim used to have five tonnes of gold from independence, which gave stability to the currency but it was all sold in the 2000's. How is the currency gold backed if a person can't redeem the zig for actuall gold? It appears to be just talk.
these are some big promises. I am curious to see if Zimbabwe will live up to them. As suspicious as I may be, I would grant it Zim from all my heart and would love to see it prosper.
Well spoken sir! No mincing of words! Excellent news. May I suggest that you consider ways to cushion the locals as much as possible and as quickly as possible before letting in the outsiders. Try to level the playing field and give the locals a fighting chance to withstand the incoming storm of competition as you adequately clarified. Of course all this will be done according to merits. But you don’t want to allow big well fed bulldogs to feed on the same plate with your own under prepared puppies! You get me. And I trust this will definitely be taken into consideration.
i think this is a very prescient analysis. the conflict between the US and south africa seems on track to escalate due to the USA's unrelenting support for israel. i can only wonder how that will turn out.

The UK is irrelevant now so it's more a case of these sanctions hastening the decline of western influence while assisting China's in other words they're self defeating
Millions of Zimbabweans have taken refuge in the UK and don't want to go back home. Why is that? Tell me. Why run to the UK if it's your enemy?
Well done Zimbabwe.
It was never about human rights, quite clearly it was about the land.
Both in Zimbabwe and South Africa is But how one goes about it matters. Physically attacking people in their homes is not the way to go about it. Or cared about poor Zimbabweans getting land as compensation. They jumped on it to help them win an election that polling showed they were in danger of losing.
@@mrhumbamakombe8387 no....I'm not shallow minded. That's a baseless accusation. What is your point? Did I not make it 100% clear the sanctions were BS? Not to mention double standards. And yes ....of course they were enacted by the US and UK specifically to deter South Africa from doing the same. And yes....of course the South African government has committed human rights abuses. I am in total agreement with you. But that doesn't excuse the human rights abuses of the ZANU PF.
Down with economic sanctions, and down with the countries making them !!!
Im soo happy to hear this news and im not even from Zim xx
My president in South Sudan ( President Salva Kiir ) said this."If they want all of us to die, let them sanction then rain". Infact these grains from Ukraine are not ours. We have fufu and much more. Just depending on how much rain we have.

The Palestinians cannot get rain water because israhell prohibits them .
So sanctions on rain exist .

I am impressed with the level of education this Zimbabwean guy has. Articulate, eloquent. High academic standard of English. I think I should keep listening to his interviews to recover my English aptitude
Plenty on TH-cam. I would recommend his conversations on the Penuel Podcast.
Zimbabweans are quite eloquent in English, matter of fact Zimbabwe speaks better English than the US.

Unfortunately, the educational standards are dropping in recent years.

Its not about Zimbabwe , it's about pushing for regime change in South Africa by getting the support of South Africa's neighbor states .
...won't work. The Namibian caretaker president was here on state visit and knowing the stance of the late president, Namibia would not go along unless the US orchestrate regime change there...and they can forget about Munangangwa playing along. The only internal threat I see selling us to the US is the opposition party, the DA. I do not trust them
What a better way to get the information then getting it directly from the Source 😊well done guys for bring a Zimbabweans to speak about Zimbabwe.

He explained things very well...thanku
Before he even got it out, I was already thinking about it: The U.S. may have relieved the pressure over here, but they have already decided to come after Zimbabwe some other way even before deciding to take away some sanction. The world will never be free from the U.S. oppression , aggression, and manipulation until it has been completely defeated. God Save Haiti
Wow. Everytime I hear about sanctions I think of Haiti. No country other has been treated so unfairly.
@sloaiza81 220 years of stabbing them in the back, and yet the Haitians stand strong ready to defend themselves

Thank you for this video.
@Rutendo thank you for being so elaborate in your narrative. You've helped me see that the Americans did something they've never ever done in history, which is to remove the sanctions from a nation, and in this case - Zimbabwe.
I believe this victory was won through spiritual warfare. Therefore, it's only a fair thing that in thankful acknowledgment, we'd pray for an unprecedented grace upon America, for swallowing their pride and extending Zimbabwe the olive branch.
They really deserve a spiritual nod of acknowledgement for this. Your video was very timely, and I believe this particular gesture is what the LORD wanted to highlight, that Zimbabwe just received a miracle. Only God underwrites miracles, so to Him alone we give honor and glory for this.
Thank you for your role in being used for this miracle because you've been advocating for this day for so many years. Many other activists have been fighting to see this day arrive as well.
I was unaware that South Africa has been petitioning for ending the Zim sanctions. They too are now added on my prayer list of interceding for them.
What a great and mighty God we serve. He alone sets times for start and end of judgments for people on earth. We thank Him for ending this judgements after over 20yrs of toil. Glory be to God.

Good morning Rania Eugene and Mr Rutenda Congratulations ❤️🇿🇼🦾😇👋
Victory is ours
Whereas I do not underplay the role of Zimbabweans struggle, Mr Rutendo has completely failed see the importance of what has now ckme to be called the Global Majority. Without the Global Majority, Zimbabwe would have remained sanctioned even if it put thousands lawyers on the campaign. Lawyers are talking shop. But it appears Mr Rutendo cannot see geopolitics at play, perhaps too excited or for want of self aggrandizement. It is the unity that done it.
Exactly. He’s in an echo chamber
Remember that these are US sanctions...not UN therefore no smart lawyers would make the US move
@@lozi4163I rather suspect that the concepts that Rutendo was talking about are too difficult for you to grasp. I have followed Rutendo and others including the Zimbabwean government, and they have been more than consistent in their fight against these illegal unilateral sanctions.
I never thought of sanctions as a step to war before. Now I know. Congrats to Zimbabwe.

They removed the sanctions in preparation to their attack on South Africa in response to its stance on the "jenoside." With Houthies blocking the Red Sea, the route around Africa has become very important, including ports in South Africa, so they are looking to create some kind of insurance for themselves. This is still good news for Zimbabweans but will they forget what the US did? Will they start taking orders from it now to show their gratitude for being unsanctioned by one who sanctioned you?
Don't worry. We won't forget what Zimbabwe did. Once bitten, twice shy.
that doesn't even make sense.
Shipments from the East to the West either pass through the red sea or the indian ocean. The East is the world's factory, and the west have the biggest consumer markets. Think about it.@@MusehanaH
USA is looking to find allies in Africa to use against sovereign states, who don't take orders from them, like South Africa. Kenya and Rwanda are already under their heavy influence. But the thing is, they don't really help, they just use and abuse, then complain when people from the countries they destroy immigrate to them.@@lozi4163

Xxx congratulations on your victory
if usa sanctions south africa for taking the genociders to the court, we'll have to protest that, and hopefully the global south will react.
They won't, The USA won't risk losing South Africa and it's influence in Africa because of Israel
I doubt USA will take that risk to sanction SA.They will lose the rest of Africa and BRICS will take over wich is their fear.
This is great new!!!
