    Thanks for the video Daniel., I’m learning new things with you ., so., if I use the bus out 1-6 for a 3 way crossover, I only have bus 7 to 12 For floor monitors right.?
    And one more question., bus out 1-2 will go to low’ amp, 3-4 to mids amp… 5-6 to highs amp., stereo mode .. it’s this correct .?
    Thank you so much 👍

      @samd5005 you will use matrix 1-6 not the busses
      You send the main LR to the matrices and you still have all your busses available for monitors
      And yes matrix 1-2 goes to the low amp 3-4 to the mid and 5-6 to the high

      @@danielkharrat I’m little confused., I have the Midas m32c ( the rack version) and the Midas dl 32 stage box…and I don’t see a matrix output in the dl32… just the 32 channels, and the 16 bus out
      So, whet this matrix output are 🫣🫣
      Sorry 😅 or I only can do this with the big m32 console, but not with the m32c.. please explain
      Thanks 🙏

      @samd5005 it's the same with the big console also you only have 16 xlr outputs
      You are confusing outputs with busses
      By default the 16 xlr outputs are assigned to the first 14 busses and the left right
      In the OUT page you can assign outputs 11-16 to matrix 1-6
      And you will have xlr 1-10 for busses or something else
      So yes you will be using 6 of the total 16 xlr for that matrix setup but you're not losing busses
      You can still use the busses 11-16 for mixing or if you use another stagebox you can have physical outputs for them

    Is it possible to EQ matrix 1 and 2 individually when in a stereo pair? or some sort of work around other than using inserts? For instance if i need to EQ my left speaker differently to my right speaker

    • @danielkharrat
      @danielkharrat  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You'll have to unlink them or go into setup menu and turn off EQ in the link preferences
      But if you do that it applies to the entire console so just unlink them

      @Gershy13 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@danielkharrat but then will it be summed to mono in each one? Is there a way to send Main L or Main R only to a matrix?

    • @danielkharrat
      @danielkharrat  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @gershondharmanandan9902 you're right. I haven't thought about it before but that's a big flaw that the link preferences can only be changed globally. I guess you only solution is to insert a Dual TruEQ if you want something that behaves like a normal parametric eq because the GEQ creates all kinds of problems if you decide to boost frequencies

    • @Gershy13
      @Gershy13 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@danielkharrat yeah I'll probably have to just give in and use an insert if I really need it. I plan to use it for tuning the system using smarrt/OpenSoundMeter, so hopefully the right side won't be too different to the left and I can just use the default parametric on both. If I really need to adjust the other side more then I'll end up using an insert (either truEQ or the blue one with knobs, I forget it's name lol). Do I have to worry about the delay caused by an insert? Or is it so small that in a room it doesn't really matter in this case?

    • @danielkharrat
      @danielkharrat  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @gershondharmanandan9902 the delay of the effects on the m32 is roughly around 1 millisecond so no you won't notice any delay, however you have to insert it on both the Left and Right even if you only want to use it on 1 side
      If you use the pultec eq there's a "IN" button that allows you to bypass the effect without removing it from the signal chain
      So you can bypass side A and work with side B but keep the insert button turn on for both the left and right matrix

    If the setup is LR and Sub, should we be setting up Sub sends and PA crossover via Matrix or M/C?

    • @danielkharrat
      @danielkharrat  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depends on your preference, do you want to focus on the mix as a whole and let the console send each part of it to the correct speaker or do you want to decide what goes to the sub and what doesn't

    • @anchoravsystems8598
      @anchoravsystems8598 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@danielkharrat Other than "let the the console send each part to correct speaker", what other benefits are there for using matrices for PA? One benefit may be you can gain headroom for PA (matrix headroom + LR headroom)?

    • @djabthrash

      @@anchoravsystems8598 Matrices give you an extra EQ, and for the low and high bands you have modes with steeper Qs (which Daniel didn't show in his video for some reason) that are handy for handling crossover frequencies.

    Can you make a video on how to set a talk for the band and the engineer only

      I already made a video about talkback th-cam.com/video/pQ2DJpHyBrw/w-d-xo.html
      And if the band needs to talk to you, you can use a mic into a channel normally but you would turn off the main stereo button on that channel so it doesn't go to the main mix

    04:10 here i wouldn't say "output 1 goes to matrix 1", but "ouput 1 is fed by matrix 1" :)
