This is honestly the video I have been searching high and low for. I have a Vedder lighttuck for my CZp07 and put a Primary Machine comp on the threaded barrel. Unfortunately it's totally incompatible with the holster and I cannot find a single holster that will fit my gun. I was skeptical to cut the front end since I was worried about sharp or jagged edges but the heat gun is a brilliant idea. Kudos .
Thanks! I am glad it could help. I make holsters from time to time and ran into your same issue. I figured I would just modify the holster and it has worked great. I do wish I would have used a drill press for a nice straight hole for that last part though. But oh well it is just aesthetic.
Def need this for my PMM comp on my FN509. I saw another video where someone removed the barrel plug to run a threaded barrel and ther was sooo much play. Yours appears to have zero… nicely done
Glad you took the chance to do this. Gives me hope as I'm looking at a 6390 RDS for my 509T with a PMM comp. Obviously the same dilemma with your Sig there. Glad to see it's doable with good results and minimal modification. What material are you using to sandwich the holster? Presuming some form of high density foam?
It is a specific Kydex holster forming foam. But you can bunch together a couple camping or yoga pads to achieve the same result. Here is the video on making the exact holster press with a link to the foam in the description: th-cam.com/video/oK0wkoqoTUE/w-d-xo.html I have used this modified holster quite a bit now at the range and had 0 issues.
Thanks, just got the 6354 for my p with the pmm comp same issue. Good video. You made me nervous with the drill but it all worked out. Looks good. Thought the holster for the xc would leave some room guess not enough.
The problem i have is that my M&P 2.0 compact with my herrington arms hcmp comp, doesn't fit inside my 5 inch m&P 2.0 holster, because the comp is too wide.
Making the whole holster wider is much harder then just the tip. If it for a ccw, then you can DIY the whole holster, but even then it is tricky if the comp is wider.
Got a 6360RDS with light, got a true precision threaded barrel, and modded my holster plug with an OT defense barrel plug that can fit said g19 thrd barrel or a g17, but can i fit my g19 with a KKM comp with the new flat barrel plug? Or how can measure the lenght of the threaded barrel and compare it with the comp to see if it fits in the holster?
I doubt you will be able to have the barrel plug on the holster and still fit it with a comp. I had to remove mine entirely, and the comp does stick out just barely beyond the holster, but I don't care. I don't even mind how it looks. The just heat gun it and press it, just be SUPER carful not to over do it. Good luck.

Did you modify your holster, and if so did it work to fit your handgun? I ordered the exact same holster and I'm wondering if I should do the same.

Yeah, I am surprised that Safariland doesn't make holsters for firearms with comps.
