@@gplama my map disappear even on the 1040 when I have selected and riding a course. Is there a workaround? Sometimes it happens that our group are leaving the course in Front of a Climb without knowing because we loose Information about the track when climb pro pops up
Same issues, on climb pro screen, you just have "distance to go" and "ascent demain"
I can get the screen with the map, climbpro and the data fields while riding without following a course. If I ride on a course, I cannot get the combined screen, I only get the map and the data fields. Am I missing a setup somewhere? I could not find this information watching the video many times.
Hi! After my vacation I had a ride today and map did not display in climbpro. Is they any recent update finally fixed that issue?
Hi, I cannot find "Mapfields" but there is a Mapfields #1 .
What's the difference between Mapfields #1 , Mapfields #2, Mapfields #3 ?
Which one should I install on a 1050 ?
Hi sir what can you say about magene qed power meter? Is it lighter too? Thanks
When I installed and configured this on my 840, it actually did put 4 data points in each of the two data boxes. Those were too small to read, and I could not figure out how to reduce the number to two for each data box. Any advice?
Hi shane, on my edge 840 I do have climb pro anabled. In the setting the ‘show screen’ and ‘pop-up’ option are enabled as well. The problem I get, is when navigating, the climb pro screen Pops up but then the map and navigation is gone…. On your screen the climb pro is beneath the map, but that option i cannot find…. Did I do something wrong? Did I miss something? Thx considerabel :) ! Love your content!
On my E1050 the gradient field displays significantly delayed/wrong gradients then the Edge orig field atm, maybe needs dev tweaking?
Somehow my 1050 let me put 4 total data fields on climb pro, but only when I do it on my edge not via the app. Haven’t tested it but it seems to be working based on the preview.
Love the jersey - are you selling Llama merch?
Cheers! Not at this time. Maybe one day.
@@gplama revenue stream untapped there...
Thanks Shane. How did you get the map on the climb pro screen please?
Looks like that might only be a 1040 thing.
On my 1040 the map is also missing on the climb pro screen. Anyone know how to activate this?
@@gplama on the 840 the map is shown in freeride, but not when using a route.
@@ddxleoncuprar @gplama seems to be using a route with ClimbPro and map both visible (see 5:50 for example)
@@gplama On my 1040, I don't have the map on climb pro page. beta firmware.
That wind info, is that live form what it measures, or does it get the info from the internet thru a connected phone's internet?
It comes from Internet weather services.
Hey, how can I setup that I will see map during climbing in climb pro? I have 540 and Im not able to set it up.. Thanks!
Strange I have the latest firmware on a 1040. But I can’t change data fields in climbpro 😢
how do i get rid of the map and replace it with the dist to go and asc remaining fileds?
Ok, I got the four small fields set up. But, how do you get the route map to show above the climb profile? I can't seem to change the Climb Pro current upper display of Dist to Go, Asc. Remain and Grade Remain.
Apparently it only does this for ClimbPro in free riding on the 1040. Something thy should add to ClimbPro when following a route too, imo.
@@gplama Ah, I have a 840 Solar. Sometimes I miss a route turn because Climb Pro jumped up. I thought you might have had another app running to get the map display above the climb profile. Thank you for all the great videos.
Does anyone know how to get edge mapfields to work with hr zones? Theres a toggle for it, but no option to select it to be shown on screen.
Just tried this on my 530. You get 4 data fields on each side.
What camera are you using for your ride in this video
Insta360 X4
Hi Shane, do you know of anyway (on an Edge Explore2) to increase the size of blue location arrow and the history line on the map? I just find them too small, regards from Italy (escaping Ballarat’s winter) !
There’s a file hack to change the position triangle. Not sure about the line thickness though. I’ll dig more into this when I get the chance.
@@gplama did you ever publish anything on manipulating the triangle?
@@m5paeplow Not yet. It’s over on the Garmin forums if you want to dig into the details.
Using 1040, how do I change the specific data fields? Mine currently has speed, cadence, Ascent and HR. Shane’s had 3s Pwr. Thanks for sharing.
2:07 Garmin Connect IQ App, go to the settings for the data field and tap each field ex. Upper right/left, etc. It gives you the option to replace each one
@@gordonconrod7628 Thank you - most helpful.
Can you get wind info on wahoo roam v2?
Edge 830 here, rey to download mapfields it says Queued
Hi is there an app that will connect your Garmin Explore 2 to you Di2 system? Bike is set up to connect to my previous head unit 520 edge
One for Garmin Support. I don't believe the Edge Explore 2 can connect to Di2 ANT like other Edge units.
I’m annoyed that ClimbPro doesn’t work in free ride on Edge 830… Why do I need a new device for that? 🤦♂️
It is great that we have those custom field apps, but is it possible to disable this stupid "Climb starting" countdown? It drives me nuts that I can't see my power anymore unless I tap on this. And then this useless "Climb!" green box that appears for too long as well. What are those for, for people that want to measure their climb performance progression on local climbs or what?
Awesome & Thanks :)
So does free ride for climb pro work on a 1030 edge +? My standard climb pro comes up if I scroll through the pages, it doesn’t come up automatically but map fields doesn’t come up at all?
No. It’s an x40 series only feature for free riding.
@@gplama awesome, thanks Shane for replying. Keep up the great videos 👌
which 2 fields (of the 4 you can configure) are shown on the smaller devices?
The two left fields.
@@gplama thank you!
Where does it get the information about the wind? It is accurate?
See the link in the video description for all the details about WindField.
not sure, what I do wrong, but my ClimbPro screen looks always like at minute 3:14 in video. I never so any map on top.
same here, how to add it?
don't you find the wind direction points all over the place?
it really shouldn't. the data is coming from the stations near your location so as long as they are accurate, the arrow shouldn't jump around
@@windfieldapp i think its the bike computer not having a consistent view of North rather than the 3rd party data )mpt your datafield, I use a different one)
I like the ud
And what happened with iGSPORT 800, review ???
Still in progress. As I've replied to someone else here already tonight - The iGS800 is simply not ready for release. There's so many things wrong with it they needed to spend another six months fixing things before launching. There's some unfixable hardware issues too. The review will be out sometime soon. It's not great.
Hey GP how can I turn this off as it comes up during my rides constantly and is annoying I suppose my climb pro is set to auto?
Just switch it to off in the profile setup.
Thanks!
Is there a way to mount the insta 360 that is at least moderately "aero"? :)
If you're worried that much about aero/performance/speed, leave the cameras at home.
@@gplama haha, fair enough. Guess I was wondering actually how do you mount it at all? Without it bothering you?
I used a selfie stick mounted to the bars. It’s not ideal and only there for making videos like this. The under-side mount on the computer mount is much better for everyday riding.
