Coconut Tart Rolls | No Oven Crispy Tart Recipe | Indian Christmas Sweets Recipe | Coconut Tartlets

Ingredients: (1 Cup = 200 ml)
Tart Dough
1 + ½ Cup (250 gms) Maida/All Purpose Flour
¼ Cup (50 gms) Dalda Vanaspati (any vanaspati will do)
¼ Tsp Salt
1 Tbsp Sugar
½ Cup (100 ml) Milk (approx.) - Room Temperature
Coconut Filling:
1 Cup (220 gms) Grain Sugar
¼ Cup (50 ml) Water
1 Cup (112 gms) Freshly Grated Coconut
¼ Tsp Rose Essence
After Frying the Tart Shells, let it cool completely and then unmould. Store in Air Tight box for further use. These can be made in advance too.
Coconut Tart Rolls (after the filling) can remain at room temperature for 10 to 15 days in airtight box.

Is there a substitute for using the pipe foe making the roll
You can use aluminum foil in place of the tubes, just roll it into small roll (sausage) shape and then follow the rest as same.

It will puff up while frying and you won't get that finish as these. You can try how ever.
Have seen your recipe but would like to know where did you get the cylindrical mold to wrap the dough around. Also can these baked and then filled with coconut filling.

We were filling it with mince and closing it with potato mash
