    You can also use gingerale. I know there is sugar in gingerale, but the cool thing about it is you just dip them for a minute or 2 and then take them out of the liquid and put them in the lunchbox.

    Do you have to pack the slices in the pineapple juice? Can you drain the apples and put them in the lunch box before you send the kiddos off to school? I’m new at this

    and for very young children (5-7 yr olds) that juice is just going to fly all over their desks when they try to open that container. Pineapple juice is super sticky

    What type of pineapple juice you use? The ones you get on the store? Or the one I get from the pineapple?

    • @MOMables

      I sometimes send them in the small cup like the one shown in the video. Or, I drain the apples and place them in the lunchbox. It will slow down the browning process for sure.

      Frozen apples do not thaw out well (texture wise) to eat raw again. You can, however, freeze them to use in smoothies and cook with them.

    Will the apples taste a lot like the pineapple juice? And you leave the juice in them correct?

    • @MOMables
      @MOMables  10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      they don't. You can sort of trace the taste but I wouldn't say that the pineapple juice soaks in. Also, I dilute it 50/50 with water.

    • @MOMables
      @MOMables  10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I send them in a small container many days and the kids drink the juice/water after. Or, I also place drained apples in a lunch container. I do it both ways.

    Did you just tell me that I am supposed to pack my toddler a box of cut apples with a whole load of pineapple juice in it just to save them from browning? You did not tell me who is going to clean up the mess when my kiddo tries to open that box and ends up pouring that juice all over the place and on him. You might want to think through what you tell other parents. Don't be greedy and post any non sense just to get one more video out on internet.

    • @MOMables
      @MOMables  3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      No. It's your job to teach your toddler how to properly open containers. It takes practice. Otherwise, assist your kiddo with the process or send them sliced, no liquid. Toddlers should not notice the browning which is a NATURAL process.

    • @fishythefish7984
      @fishythefish7984 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      And by the way, additionally this works just fine for older kids and adults. Should work for younger ones too if you know how to parent and teach them manners 🙄 your incompetence ain't her problem she's just trying to be helpful and kind. Idk how you can be so upset. Like for what? If it doesn't work for you just find something else, move on.
