    Long bars save backs. I sometimes put a 25 on 50cc saws so i dont have to bend over as much. Im not burying it by any means. Got bigger saws for bigger wood.
    Great video. Love my bark box on my ms400 as well

    I have an 036 that wears a 25” bar. Hand in hand with an 18” the 25” light is the same weight and the 20” is a few ounces heavier. The saw shop thought I was crazy when I ordered it until they picked the saw up with the 25” and the saw mechanics words were “man that is sweet”. My Oiler is pre epa and that sucker can flat out pump the oil to that bar.

    The WCS products make any saw better and adds to the custom touch. I also like the US made tank guard skid plates too.
    I have a 261, 460 and 660 and am looking to get the 362 and 28" inch ES Light bar as you have in this video, specifically for bucking and limbing.
    I'd like to discover the difference between the full house and skip tooth chains with this combo (inc bark box). You didn't seem to have any trouble bucking with a full house chain.
    Thank you for making this video. It was just what I needed to see. Oh, and I will add a wrap handle to the 362 when I get it. I have the wrap handle already. I have the part number if you want it.

    • @Jdubbsotheradventure
      @Jdubbsotheradventure  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I looked for a wrap handle and everything said it was for the 462. Does the tank guard add a noticeable amount of weight? I have a video I’m working on now comparing full come vs skip and 20 inch bar vs 28 and a few others that will be coming out as I get time. Thanks for watching

      @@Jdubbsotheradventure 1) The 362/400 wrap handle is Stihl Part # 1148-790-3700.
      Make sure you order the separate Joining Piece (it's a 2 part handle). And the screws.
      2) The 362 and 400 are the same saw from a body and chassis perspective. Just FYI.
      There is a separate wrap handle for the 462. I do not know the part number for the 462.
      3) Yes, the tank guard is light and strong made from good alloy (aluminium). You can't tell the difference with the tank guard fitted. They are well made too and manufactured for each model. I recommend them. The guy only sells on E-bay and is called Cheap Chainsaw parts but his account name is customchainsawparts. You'll find it.
      4) I have WCS filters, bark box and dogs on all my saws. Good kit.
      5) I look forward to the full skip/full house chain video. My guess is it makes scant difference.
      Thank you again. Hope this helps :-)

    Your bar is getting hot because your oiler can't keep up with a bar that size. I run a 25 inch on my 362 cm, and that's kind of pushing it. I like the longer reach of the 25, but it does cut better with the 20. Would like to see the comparison between the 20 and 28 inch bars. Thanks for the vid on the bark box. Thought about getting one, but not quite sold on it if the performance isn't there.

    Hey mate,
    Great video! At the end you asked for constructive feedback, only 2 things.
    That thumb!!! None of the cutting you were doing really had any risk of kickback at all, but getting into the habit of keeping your thumb wrapped around the handle, always! Noticed you regularly use it to push down a little harder, or when you change angles. Just watch the thumb! That left hand is your saviour if your tip ever goes wild
    Only other thing is no chaps lol. Up to you, I understand some guys don’t like em. Would just definitely consider when you’re out cuffing by your self

    • @Jdubbsotheradventure
      @Jdubbsotheradventure  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You caught me working night shift, I appreciate the comment. The thumb I agree with 100% and normaly use it, I’m kinda shocked I wasn’t. I’ll have to rewatch the video. the chaps Iv tried to use it a few times and just can’t get into it. But I’ll keep trying btw I wasn’t by my self that the magic of editing it was me, my wife my daughter and her dad. My son was mowing on the other side of the farm with his great grandfather. But thank you for the concern and not using a “no it all” approach to commenting.

    • @Jdubbsotheradventure

    Hahaha, I've cut a lot of wood on the farm and sold a lot of firewood. The only safety clothes i had on were gloves and steel toes.
    All before, I was 16 years old.
    Never had any close calls or running the chain into myself.
    But it's all about safety now. And oh no, it's loud.
    Try being on a rig floor with a screeming Jimmy diesel or an old John Deere 830 straight piped for a day. Talking about loud.
    Grass roots made this country without safety, and we survived.
    Common sense isn't very common anymore. Hence, the stupid safety lables on everything.
    Now we have armchair safety supervisors that write you up on FB videos, hahaha
    Good video and straight talking. That's a man I can shake hands with
    And the steel wheel with the axe head welded to it for splitting wood would drive this place insane hahaha
    But it would split wood faster than any other hand feed splitter
