building my first turtle tank, this video is so good it makes me want to get a lil 10gal guppy/shrimp/snail farm going first, gonna get a couple stinkpots!
I have a Northern Pike and a Rock Bass and a Channnel Catfish in a 150 gallon. I want to breed guppies or something to feed my predator fish. I have videos of them on my channel. I feed them mealworms from Amazon currently
Right on man I love breeding guppies inside my turtle tank. They help clean my tank and really add color to the tank. I also mix in a few fancy guppies to my endless. Super hardy fish and always breeding. Have you tried mixing guppies and plaudies? I haven’t yet but I’m thinking of it.
Great video!! So my guppies are successfully breeding IN my 20 gallon long with my musk turtle and my african clawed frog 😳 i found your video because i was trying to figure out if they'll actually eat the fish lol i guess the guppies are getting a good head start while my musk turtle and frog are still small? Lol the last litter(?) Had a 50% survival rate so im getting a little concerned about overpopulating the tank
I haven't seen enlures it s a pet store for many years. Used to have a bunch back when I was in high school to feed my bull frogs. I had plenty after the frogs passed. Some of the males developed these beautiful eye spots and long sword like tails. But after awhile inbreeding started to get bad. The males developed spine issues and the females started to be unable to to give birth and kept getting bigger until they literally popped. Wish I had turtles back then. Any ideas where I can get enlures now?
I am going to use a 29gal aquarium I have for this purpose. I have not had success with breeding minnows for my alligator and common snapping turtles. Guppies seem easier.

Starting my first tank in years !!!
Sweet video man! Lol I’m pretty sure holding the container higher would give it a stronger and fast poor though, not a weaker one😂
Try it and see lol. The higher you go the less deep it penetrates into the water column.
So so sooo helpful. 🙏🏼 My question though is how many feeder guppies to give to a turtle at a time. Mine's close to a year old.

Definitely some sort of livebearer is gonna be easiest. Guppies or platies
