Very nice overview, thank you. Mine came with a screw-on 1/4-inch adapter and that is likely the best way to go, even for the hot shoe. You can get cheap but excellent hotshoe-1/4" adapters - usually with a tilt function- for little money - these will likely give the best hold and more flexibility. I use a frame on my M6MII, so there is plenty of opportunity to mount the sender anywhere the cables will reach.
Everything you said was on point besides one big problem this device has!!! It only transmit to one device at a time! Unlike all the others on the market that allows you to use up to 3 devices at a time. Because of this issue I had to buy something else! I still do have this device tho. It was just sad I had to buy something else on top of this just to face that one feature 🤦🏽♂️. Dji also stated that they have no intention of changing that on this version.
thank you for the great review. You mention the focus function in passing. Does it actuate the auto-focus on a lens with build-in AF or does it just show the focus aid colors like on a Blackmagic?
Hi! Proxy video has no sound? I have RavenEye and Nikon Z6 and I can only enable parallel recording to the camera and smartphone from the mobile application. When I press record on the camera, nothing is written to the smartphone. And I also can't save photos to my smartphone, only proxy videos. Videos on the smartphone are saved without sound (((
Have had the Ran Eye to use with my RS2 for several months and find the connection too unreliable. Even with my phone on the rig, only 6" away, the signal drops out all the time, only to come back 30 secondslater. I now hard wire a monitor.
Hi. Great video. I have a question thou. Can you disable all the control buttons in the app and just use it as a wireless monitor? I want to use this for my clients butI wouldn’t want them to control the camera.
Hey, great review. Really appreciate the detail you went in to about battery life and using it separately from a gimbal, most other reviews don’t mention these things. Just confirming that you can continuously power the raveneye through USB C to make it last all day as a transmitter to an iPad to use as a directors monitor? I’ve seen mixed info on this. Thanks!
when i record with raveneye my videos are going to my phone are without any sound. What am i doing wrong? My setup is Sony A7iii with Sigma 24-70mm 2.8
Hi. Thanks for your video. I would like to use the Raveneye without recording a proxy on my phone. How can I prevent the phone to create a proxy? I just want this to allow my phone as a monitor. I am using this with a sony Z90 on the RS2 and a Tilta Float. The autofocus in the camera is alright and I just use the viewfinder in the camera as a monitor. The only issue is I found myself looking up or in awkward positions for minutes.
Ok. I can help you: Almost 2 minutes already and can tell you EASILY what is this. This is TRASH. Only transmitter wherever your camera captures you can plug on a monitor or phone to *"see what your camera SEE"* FOR ME THIS IS NON SENSE: MOSTLY CAMERA HAVE MONITORS/SCREEN/LIVE VIEW "SO WHY NEED OTHER ONE? JUST TO HAVE OTHER CAN SEE FROM OTHER ROOM??? *"THIS IS NOT LIVE STREAMING THING"* YOU NEED THE APP TO SEE WHAT YOU RECORDING: AND YOU CAN'T USE THE APP AND THEN OPEN YOUR SOCIAL ACCOUNT TO STREAMING YOUR VIDEO. NOT WORTHY.
Hmmm i have this stuff - and i can say, that try wi-fi the quality of video is shity, you dont see focus on Iphone and ipad - so may be its cool stuff - but i cant understand wtf is that....
Beautifully filmed! I love the production quality! Absolutely in love with the BROLL! Learning film making over here!!
Really needed to know how it worked as a stand alone product and you answered all my questions.. Thanks for this video. Oh, and I bought one.

I have the same problem. Only one device its sad. Do you know another alternatives to raveneye?
@@hanswernersen8532 look up accsoon cineEyeii
This is a real bummer. No good solution really. Hopefully they release Raveneye 2 or something.
This was just what I needed. Appreciate it so much! Cheers!

Does this app record to your mobile with a LUT you selected?
Does the Raven eye work on connecting on an iPad as long as I have the DJI ronin app?

What phone do you have?
@@maxvlaarhoven Hi. I have a Samsung S8 and an older Nokia (can’t remember the model) Would be nice to use the phone, for some of the touch features.
How were you able to change your setting with it on the 6K Pro?

I dont think that’s possible. Probably better to look at something like the Accsoon cineye which I’ve done a video on for client monitoring

Can we connect Raveneye via Bluetooth? I just bought it and connected it via Wi-Fi, but, as soon as I turn off Wi-Fi it gets disconnected
Has to be over Wi-Fi as the data is too high for Bluetooth. Sadly there’s not a better solution for wireless connections with devices
Super helpful thank you!
Can you use it for a Live Streaming with OBS?
Nope, only goes to its app.
hey, do you have any idea if the raven eye would work on an older phone like Iphone 6?
when i record with raveneye my videos are going to my phone are without any sound. What am i doing wrong? My setup is Sony A7iii with Sigma 24-70mm 2.8
Raveneye doesn't send sound. It's only really for monitoring.
Great review! Do you know if this can transmit 4k footage?
I believe only 1080P is supported at the moment on the RavenEye system at the moment.

Can it transmit to multiple devices?
No sadly just the one
Can raven eye be used with OBS?
No, only connects to the app unfortunately
