How about... Pump head numbers. Accumulators. Types of dumps. Battery Maintenance. There is so much ground you could cover. Plenty of people are fairly oblivious to the tech end. Keep up the good work.
1983 El Camino, I am new to the game looking forward to my first hydraulic set up! Alex you give up so much detail and make it easy for first timers like myself to purchase a kit , happy birthday Art !
I haven't had a jod done by HOPPOS, but im looking forward to have my fleetwood done by HOPPOS, from all the research I have done HOPPOS looks like the most professional, I know there's more shop out there BLACK MAGIC, HI AND LOW, HOMIES HIGHTDRUALIC, but I don't see them taking the time to talk to there customers or future customers and for that makes HOPPOS MORE PROFESSIONAL.
Jesus christ bro.... Thank you guys so much!!! Only in the past 3or4 years have any info on building lowriders started to become available on youtube with a few channels. I remember the time when there was NOTHING on youtube about building them. And I'm only 24yrs old.! The culture was so hush hush and even when I was in high school (2009-2013) trying to sesrch for a dedicated lowrider shop that wasn't in Cali on google was almost impossible. So definitely fam, pleease keep pushing the culture so it can continue with the younger generations. I just got my dream 64 project back in February. Body off the frame right now. Kind of hard to build my dream car out my storage unit and be in the military. I'm just trying to save up for that hoppos frame kit and then phase'2 begins. So thank you guys again for the videos and knowledge. #Salute #muchlove
Thanks for all the videos. I just got a 68 impala and I'm learning about hydrolics for my car. This has been a Hugh help to know what to look for and at. Thanks again for starting it at the base level cuz I know nothing about were to start, much appreciation for keeping it simple but informative. By the way I'm 49yr old👍
HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY ART !!!! Appreciate all you’ve done throughout the years sir !!! And thanks for clearing up the cylinder size too. I remember using the skinny cylinders years ago. But they wouldn’t hold up long, so went with the fats or standard cylinders back then. They wouldn’t bend like the skinny’s would.
I have a question. I charged all my batteries and they all read 100% however the front is going really slow . And last Sunday I was at the streetlow car show here in San Jo and the front wouldn't go up . One if the solenoids was just clicking so I tapped it with a hammer then the front worked but really slow still .
Thanks for the info on how to measure the cylinders and all of the other videos you post. Great work. Happy birthday Art 🎂. From Rio Rancho New Mexico.
Hey alex what is commonly used on the front to hop? 6s or 8s. Im going to build my 97 towncar soon and am trying to order my 3 pump kit. Im new to low riding and will be building on my own. Long beach in the house
So all cylinders use 2 u seals on the piston and a wiper and rod seal (u seal) in the head? You said o rings but I believe you meant u seal? Orings with a backer just wont hold the pressure like a u seal. I'm a air bag guy and getting into my first hydro kit and just seeing if everything is the same on the pumps we build and rebuild and the cylinders. Thanks man. I rebuild cylinders for bos hydraulics in va. My dad is the machinist where we custom make cylinders from start to finish I rebuild small cylinders to big 40ft plus cylinders on cranes man lifts ect. Great video for ppl to learn. Keep it up man.
Art is his pops?!?! I thought so too for the longest time and in his videos he calls him "ART" and not dad so that kinda of threw me off! I know that's his name but I've never called my dad by his first name! Just sayin..... but,...... HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG HOMIE!🎂
Thank you for the information, you guys are extremely helpful and appreciated speaking for myself, keep up the Awesome work( p.s. I really miss my 79 coupe Deville and when I get another will be honored to have you guys juice it up)
Alex I know this video is several years old, but I was curious if anybody has come to you guys asking for hydraulic cylinders, cups and springs but want to use compressed air to operate the system?
