It doesn’t work on the ps5, at least not well. The max volume is too low and the audio is laterally unusable for comp gaming (i tried it for siege). I thought my unit was faulty but after taking w the support, it seems i have missed the fact that it doesn’t state on their website that this headset is not compatible with PlayStation at all.
Does the eq customizations that you do on the headset’s software on the pc applies on the ps5 ?

Mic itself works great on PS5. Blue features don't work as they are made for PC

Hello I am from Argentina. I have a question. When I went to the usa I bought the astro a50 because I thought they were the best and I have been using them for 3 years and I love them. A spectacular sound, but I don't know if on the ps5 they are also one of the best because capable does not take advantage of the new audio mechanics and I found out that the ps5 has no optical output, then connecting the headset is more complicated.Thanks

Which generation of the a50 headset do you have? I believe Astro stated you can just plug in the headset through usb into the ps5 and it will work
You can get an adapter made by Astro (or a 3rd party company) that will take HDMI in and convert it to Digital Optical Out and HDMI out. Essentially just adding optical out for the PS5 which is why they made it.
Edit: I am by no means an expert nor do I have the adapter, but I have heard people say that the HDMI from the adapter is 2.0 unlike PS5's 2.1 so people are having issues with 4k 60fps and even 1080p 120fps. Not sure what is true though. Might want to research if that would be an issue for you.
Hi I recently bought this headset for my ps5 but it doesn’t let me talk with the mic when I do my it doesn’t go through the mic I can hear other people and my game audio fine with it but just cannot speak and I don’t know what to do about it

Not with the USB soundcard. It is actually loud enough that I kept it at 90% volume mostly.
I’m going to comment on this 10 month old post…this headset is very low with volume on the PS5. If you google it, you’ll see multiple posts about it.

Are you able to hear your own voice in the headset when you speak as in mic monitoring? I am looking for a wireless headset that does that. I’ve tried the official PlayStation ones in there past but had to return them because they were too tight on my head and would cause headaches.
No. I am actually playing warzone right now on PS5 and it has clear voice and no feedback of your own voice.
I had that issue with sony wired headset

It will support microphone but then you have to use TV for audio output , which I do not recommend.

I’m using Razer kraken 7.1 which needs to be replaced soon. I looked up for Logitech G Pro X but i read and heard that it won’t provide Blue mic tech and Surround 7.1 sound on consoles
@@Noofa23 I actually use it and it is pretty good with Pulse 3D. You don't need 7.1 on consoles. Xbox can do dolby atmos and ps5 can do pulse 3D. That is literally enough for gaming.

u can connect into controller or as u want, plug in ps4 usb or ps5 usb port, it works in both ways

@@MyGadgetsWorld @Tiago Sousa actually, you can use the equalizer on Playstation. All you need to do is download the G HUB software on PC, adapt your EQ settings and then press "save to DAC". After plugging your headset into the Playstation then (of course with the soundcard), you hear the sound with your EQ settings.

It is a big diff for the audio? i have this but i just jack to the controller. I Just managed to get my ps5 recently.
The USB dongle is a sound card so yeah it will make a difference plugging it in to your console over plugging it into your controller.
I have these for the Xbox Series X! I’ve download few things to try enhance audio to hear better footsteps in Warzone but so far my cheap £20 headset picks up footsteps sooo much better.

Connect to a pc and download g hub. It should be fixed.
@@sapun3777 I tried doing this and those settings didn't transfer over to the ps5, it was mainly just an issue with the mic constantly cutting out.

@@Uuuung yeah, witout USB card is like 50% worst, but with USB card is full power. After all I bought steelseries 7p and Razer Blackshark V2 pro both are very good and solid but my point is, if u cant have USB card u need wireless headset coz music card is build in headset(i Hope 😁) and quality of sound is much better then if use 3,5 jack into controller. After using 7p and V2, Im gonna stick with 7p just becose thay are more comportable for me.

@@Uuuung for my is far better, but for about 3years on PS4 I used hyper x stinger, and it was great, but I wated someting better for ps5 with D3 soo now using 7p for me is a huge gap between stingers and 7p, but 7p are also more expenssive. In the end as far my knowledge go, at this price set wireless headset will be better then wired.
