Hello everyone! Today I will be going over my review, for possibly my most favorite gaming headset. I really do love to game and being a headset person, I NEED to have really great audio whenever I am immersed in what I'm playing. Also, something functional is a must so find out what I think in today's video!

Nice video, it really helps with my buying decision. For a person who sweats easily like me the cloth foams are a plus since I had a bad experience with my razer kraken and marshall major 2. Leatheratte is really a nightmare in the long run

I work from home, this headset seems like a good fit for me especially since it's noise-cancelling which a lot of gaming headsets don't have, so that's definitely a plus. Great review awesome video keep it coming, feel better.

hey man! loved the video and subscribed directly. i have one question. i am stuck between these headsets and Steelseries Arctis 9 Wireless. I am only going to use the headsets for gaming on PC. i play fps games like valorant. i will never ever use the headsets to listen to music. i watch some movies/series from time to time. the fact that Logitech G Pro X Wireless does not provide bluetooth connection is not a con for me. i dont think i will need to connect my headsets anything other than my PC. they both are affordable for me. which one should i go for?
Hello! Honestly if you are going for sound, I prefer the sound of Logitech G products. They emphasize low ends and give you a better immersion with the game imo. With that said, I feel steelseries is better when it comes to the soundstage, meaning I can hear footsteps and little noise a little better. I’ve had the arctis 7 and I did like them too but they didn’t sound as rich. Now both do come with software so you can tweak them both to your liking so always keep in mind. If I’m being honest, I’d just go with whatever is on sale or is cheaper because the 2 headphones are pretty similar imo. You really can’t go wrong, but my personal bias is towards the G Pro X which is currently on sale on Amazon!

If you don't mind me asking how big is your head? I wear a 7 5/8 fitted cap and have trouble finding headsets that don't squeeze my head during longer play sessions.
Thank you! Hey I totally feel you, I think our brains are too big 😄. Unfortunately I’m not really sure how big my head is, this would actually be a good thing to research on my end to provide everyone a good outlook. If it helps, a standard Nike cap fits if I extend the strap in the back to almost the max. Also depends on the amount of hair I’m rockin. If I end up measuring my head out I’ll provide an update on that here! Thanks!

I was thinking about getting this headset but I feel like the microphone quality is a little... off? I can't really tell if it does have that sort of low quality vibe from it or if it just needs the right kind of preset
This is a mic that definitely needs the right type of preset. How it comes standard sounds very low quality (hence the first part of the test) when you introduce the Blue Voice, it drastically gives you a better sound I feel. You can also set a preset and tweak that preset to your liking. There’s tons of customizability when it comes to this headset!

Just one critique: You never talked about the audio of the headset itself. How does it sound? What kind of audio profile does it have? Is it warm with bass or more cold with higher frequencies? So not talking about the audio performance of the cans themselves is leaving out a large reason for someone to shell out $200 for a gaming headset.
I have the EPOS H3Pro Hybrid headset and the mic on that is very finicky and cuts me off a lot when using voice activated in Discord. I'm still on the hunt for that perfect headset that has near studio grade audio performance with a decent mic.
Yeah I wish I did go more in depth with the sound, but yeah I would say on default settings, it has more of a colder tone with a higher frequency. Now all of this can be tweaked to your own settings which I think is why I tried to focus on the software a little more. I feel like the mic sounds really solid and I never get cutouts at all. I even step away from time to time to get snacks or a drink away from my chair and everything is perfectly fine. I just really think this is a super solid headphone and I don’t regret the purchase at all. If this is on sale, I’d say it’s a must buy. Hope this helps!
I just bought these and the sound isolation in the left ear is less isolated than the right ear. Not sure if it’s a defective unit or something that all of these headsets have. I switched ear pads and it was still the same. Maybe it’s the ports on the left side of the earcup? It’s driving me crazy lol
Are you outside of your return window? You can always return the product, especially if you bought them from amazon or best buy. If you got them directly from Logitech, they could send you a replacement and their service is actually pretty decent. Hope this helps!

Is this headset tuned mainly for voice chatting? I just bought mine and extremely disappointed with the sound quality, im listening to full volume and its not loud at all, no bass at all. Do they need to be tuned with software before using?
Hello! I would say out of the box this headset needs tweaking. The magic comes with the app using your computer. You have to change all the settings to tweak the sound to your liking, make sure to do so!
Do you need a pc for the software to work on PlayStation? Like can you tweak settings and go play on PlayStation
I do not believe so as it uses a usb dongle but you might have some compatibility issues. You might have to initially set it up on PC and tweak settings on there. Sadly Logitech does not state there is any support for ps5 or ps4 with these headphones as they are primarily a PC headset. I would take this question over to Reddit, you might get a better answer on there compared to on TH-cam! I’m sorry I wish I could be more of help.
If you’re that worried about audio get an actual mic separate from your headphones.

The DTS spatial audio they use is outdated(or it feels outdated)....And I preferred to use Dolby Atmos with it. But that will not let me use anything with Logitech GHub for the headset.
Yeah, this is a pretty old headset at this point, they just released the updated version but I agree, I would’ve loved to have Dolby atmos too 😮💨
i currently have the steel series arctis 7 which i’ve had since it first came out almost. how much a differnce will this headset be?
I’d say it would be a pretty big difference, especially if you get the version 2 model of the G Pro X. What platform are you tryna get it for?
@@SideofTech pc i’ve had the arctis 7 since it came out and payed a fortune since then the ear parts have snapped so spin the dials have broke the wireless dongle doesn’t work and i’ve bought replacements wires about 6 times. I was either going to go with this logitech one or the dt770 as i allready have a mic so wouldn’t use the one built in anyway
Logitech and Amazon and even eBay (mostly) still charging pandemic prices. When you switched the first time it sounded like an AM radio.

When I play valorant the surround sound seems to completely negate things directly behind you. For example, if I plant the spike and it starts beeping, when I turn 180 degrees the beeping sound completely disappears. Is there a solution to this?
I’ve actually read an article on Reddit saying that the headphones, for some reason in surround sound mode, lose some of the ability to pick up noises 360 degrees but if you switch off the surround sound they return back to normal. It could be a software issue. Have you tried updating the headphones via the software?

@@power2daaplayer304 I stopped using the surround sound dts mode and just used the normal audio and it works fine. The dts surround sound wasn't very helpful to begin with as I could hear footsteps just as well without it.

To be fair I think I will stick with the wired pair. AS ANNOYING as it is, the analog connection improves audio quality (Especially on the microphone!). The fact you also don’t need to worry about charging and the best part is that you can switch between PC and Phone (easier) since it uses an Aux cable rather than a USB 3.0 Dongle. I also feel like any type of wireless audio device should never be used for competitive gaming so I’d actually rather use the wireless pair for everyday use if it was bluetooth. I am still upset about that sticker not being included.
Wired will always be better than wireless for sound quality! Sticker sadness ahead 🥲

Did the headset came with white noise when turned on when connected to a pc?
Mine did not come with any white noise at all. They’ve been pretty great I use them almost every day to game!

Do you have any idea if this headset works with Xbox Series X? I can't seem to find a definitive answer.
I’m not 100% but I do know that if I plug this into my PS4, only the most basic functions work like the volume, etc. To customize the defaults I would have to go to my PC and program it. This headphone is not made for consoles but they will work if you want the bare minimum experience. I highly recommend something that works with the Series X instead of this. Hope that helps!

It will! It’ll just be crippled by the limitations of the console interface. Same the ps5, this headset I would only recommend for PC use to get the full value from it.
Can you use the g hub software without internet ?
Hello! You should be able to, the only thing is without internet you will not be able to update the headset, but every other function should work!
But what is new to come from Logitech??? Dunno if I wanna drop 200 bones if they're coming out with a new headset soon.
That is a great question! Although I do not believe they will update this model for a little while since it just got one, I think they might release some updates to other models that desperately need it. Also their sister company, Astro could be releasing something as well so I would be on the lookout for that too!

Hello! I actually like the presets the software already comes with. What I do is pick a preset (bass boost for example), then I kind of tweak it according to the situation. To hear some footsteps I like to boost the mids, if I’m playing single player I like to boost the lows for more bass and the mids and highs I tweak them up a tiny bit. I hope this helps! 😄

@@nyx766 haha I just know a little on the topic but from what I know, lows are talking about lower frequency noises like low bass, mids are your upper bass hits and some vocals, highs are the higher frequencies so higher vocals, snares, high pitch noises. I hope that helps!

@@SideofTech So far its a pretty good headset, the audio is much muddier compared to the B&O but thats to be expected when the cost difference is more than the G Pro X was at MSRP. Overall I'd say if you can get this headset for at least 25% off its a great pair of headphones
I had a very, very bad experience with the Cloud 3 wireless. And since the 1st Gen G Pros are around the same $125 price tag i got the clouds for, i returned the cloud and now im going to get the first gen G Pros!

I unfortunately have not had a chance to use any of the other headphones so I cannot speak on their performance but I can say that if your budget is 350, I would HIGHLY recommend you go to a store where you can try any of these on, or buy from a store with an easy return policy. In my experience, Best Buy and Amazon have the most hassle free return policies. Also if you haven’t heard of them, I can also suggest the Astro A50s as a really good pair of headphones, but if your head is on the larger side, they might not fit too well. I hope this helps!

Also good to know is that if u lose the usb dongle u will have to buy a new headset since they dont have it as a spare part. And there are no thirdparty dongles. And no the g533 dongle dosent work with the software. I say buy a pair of razer blackshark v2 pro 2023 and u will get a good wireless headset with the best mic on a headset. Logitech if u for some reason read this please make the usb dongle a spare part for us that lost one.
im trying to buy a wireless gaming headset and my budget is 150 is this the best?
If you can squeeze these headsets under 150 that would be an AMAZING deal. If you want, you can save some more money and get the wired versions. Same great features minus the wireless, but same customizability. That’s my opinion at least haha, definitely look around because there are a lot of great headphones in that range!

Unfortunately not, this headset requires a dongle to be plugged into your PC. There is no bluetooth option here sadly!

Hello! Unfortunately not since this headset uses a USB dongle which will not attach to the switch. Possibly the wired version could work but I myself am not sure. Sorry!

Hello! No it does not, I believe Logitech is doing their own thing here with DTS Surround Sound 2.0. It sounds really good!

Sorry for the late reply, but if it were me and I were trying to save some money, the HyperX Cloud 2's are a great choice! Only thing is you won't have the software that comes with the logitech. If you could wait for a sale, I would see if the G Pro's are on sale (they go on sale often) and just get those because the quality all around, in my opinion is really good. Hyper X is a really great budget brand, but it's really up to you and your needs. Hope this helps!

Nothing Logitech makes anymore is "worth it" even their sales are barely what any other comparable product would be full price. Logitech simply smacks 20-30 extra dollars on every G product for no reason.
DON'T BE FOOLED, the logitech G Pro X Wireless s*ck not worth 140£. Static noise, mic is average and sound need to be configured for everything you do. Like sound profile for gaming will sound horrible with everything else you do and vice vers. Disappointment... Back to my SS Arctis 7+
