NOBODY MOVED LIKE BOBBY DID BECAUSE SINGERS TODAY DON'T HAVE THE SOUL HE HAD, BLACK OR WHITE.. HE MOVES LIKE THAT BECAUSE HE'S FEELING IT LIKE NOBODY DOES. PERIOD! HE'S CONSIDERED ONE OF THE BEST TRUE SINGERS OF ALL TIME. I KNEW BOBBY AND BELIEVE ME THEY WERE NOT MUSCLE SPASMS.

As one reactor phrased it, Bobby was taken over by the Holy Spirit. He feels the music in his soul and he throws his whole body into it.

He’s moving like that to get the note’s out the way he knows how to! Love his voice and range!

Don't be scared it's how the music is moving him - go with it bro 💞 not many have that 4 octave voice

bobby hatfield is a counter-tenor with a 4-octave range and clarity is his high notes, bobby's notes come out natural not forced like a falsetto

Yes, Bobby feels the music in his heart & soul. That’s the reason he moves like that. Tell me which singers today can sing like that? Singers today don’t move like that because they can’t sing like that. Not even remotely close. It’s all a show. It’s over.Today’s music s@cks! ✌

I love it when his body moves with the song... Elvis could not fake it either. It's natural.

Bobby Hatfield. Fantastic. Loved his version. You need to listen to him singing Unchained Melody on his own. Famous for that song

The sounds He is able to blow are insane ! Be uses his body as trumpet horns to rise his voice. No one else was ever able to control his voice that way. It’s the only music He move like that and he is completely sweaty

I think his body movements represent him putting his whole being into the song because he needs to channel his severe stage fright.

Thank you for your point, though I have thought of it in reverse. His stage fright involves (along with his shyness) his transition to channelling powerful sound vibrations dimensions of music. 🎶💫

This guy is so incredible! I grew up listening to the Righteous Brothers music when they came out in 1964. I'm 74 years old and want to thank you for playing our baby boomer music. It brings back good memories. Such talent!!! ❤❤❤

Their egos don’t collide. Together they are fire 🔥 their harmony is touching. You keep reacting to them. They never failed you ❤. Amaze yourself with You never walk alone and admire Bill with I wanna make love to you … you wouldn’t expect that on the 60’ 😜. Love your generation aprecciate those old days. We where very fortunate !

No I don't really get what you're trying to say… He's kind of known for his pitch perfect live performances - with none of the auto-tune crap singers today need. I've never seen him move quite as much during a performance but how can you not move when you're belting out a song like this! Wow! He just blew me away! Raw talent.

He sounds like a black gospel choir, by himself!

It’s great this song has been covered many times and right here is one great performance of this song and if you want to hear this song in a different light check out Janis Joplin ‘Summertime’ same song but the soul and passion she puts into that performance is also a WOW!

bobby is mixing blue eye soul with gospel

This is a song from Porgy & Bess, I think. Those notes which are a little rougher and more raw are just examples of... how can I explain it? Sometimes he puts a little stank on it for emotive effect.

In 1965 the TV camera required a performer to stay on their mark (spot), not move around. Thus the awkward "dance" moves from many artists of the time!

Ha! If his moves bother you, James Brown and Joe Cocker must freak you out! ,

And here's the live song "My Babe" both brothers sang before Bobby sang "Summertime". Both of them were moving around & having fun before the intro to Bobby's solo. th-cam.com/video/ONJCstJCqeM/w-d-xo.html

Bobby had to move to hit the high notes, unlike today's artists who have a crappie machine to cover their mistakes.

Back then white people didn't want to listen or perceived to sound like "Black" music... I'm Caucasian and I've never heard this before. I was exposed to "Soul" music by my Aunt Sue and Uncle Curtis...and I've never looked back...!
