    Body movements help create vibrations when singing. He used his whole body in this one to invent new notes.

    You implied that Bobby was a little out of his element. No, he wasn't. Bobby did what he always did. Put all of his heart, soul, and emotion into every performance. Listen to his live performance in 1965, on the Andy Williams Show, of "Unchained Melody."

    bobby is a legendary counter-tenor, higher then a tenor lower then a saprona, but with excellent clarity in his high notes

    Bobby Hatfield, one of the greatest. He had a 4 octave range. Check out his rendition of Unchained Melody from 1965, live on the Andy Williams Show. His rendition has been the most covered of the 3 versions that came before his. Bobby owns that song. (the song came from a prison movie Unchained, from the 50's....a prisoner singing about the woman he hopes is waiting for him)
    Check out Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley, The Righteous Bros., : You've Lost That Loving Feeling, Soul and Inspiration, Rock and Roll Heaven.
    Bill Medley had a hit from the movie Dirty Dancing called The Time of My Life. It's because of these guys that the phrase "Blue-eyed Soul" was coined.
    They are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. A great duo that didn't get the recognition they deserved until years later.

      Perhaps they needed a better agent. Happened to see John Denver on the Phil Donahue show and I thought "why didn't these guys get on those type of shows".

    You suggested that Bobbie was trying to hard? It's obvious that you don't know the man and his music no one could be more wrong. This is the soul of Bobbie Hatfield pure and real.

    • @yeahimdom2677

      Clearly I don't know this man. Never heard of him before the other video I did of the righteous brothers. To me, Seeing as it was MY reaction video. TO ME. He was doing a little too much. And if that's his "soul", "pure & real" Kool👏🏾👏🏾. He still was doing too much. In MY opinion.

    BEST DESCRIPTION OF THE SOUL AND FEELING HE HAD IN HIS SINGING, FISH OUT OF WATER. YOUR IMPRESSION OF A FISH OUT OF WATER WAS FANTASTIC! ONLY YOU'RE MUCH, MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN ANY FISH I EVER IMAGINED.

    I understand that art is subjective (maybe this isn't your kind of musical preference, fair enough) and that you think that Bobby is "fishing out of the water" in this performance, but he is not. He is putting his heart and soul into this song like he did in every other song he ever sang. His talent was off the charts. He was a great singer with a gifted voice that didn't need any technical aid available in our time that most singers normally use when they perform nowadays. Maybe that's why is hard to recognize great talent, we are not used to hear it anymore. Not because it doesn't exist but because it's hard to discern amongst the loud cacophony of noises constantly assaulting us in our everyday

    I understand your reaction to Bobby's interpretation of this song. I think the song is more originally like a lullaby to a baby - smoother, softer, flowing - from George Gershwin's opera, "Porgy and Bess." But Bobby put his own spin with a more soulful interpretation to it. It may not fit the original intent of the aria, but I personally like his fresh interpretation to it. You are entitled not to, though, so don't be too insulted by those criticizing you for saying what you think. What's the point of a reaction channel if you can't say how you really feel about something? Cheers! :)

    Well good thing you're really no music aficionado..these entertainers from the '60's were some of the finest artists to ever perform..and this man, Bobby Hatfield had a vocal range of 4.5 (if you even know what that is)..not impressed with your negative reaction..😒🤨

  • @elizabethstops2362
    @elizabethstops2362 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Are you a little bit racist to Bob cause he was singing soul ? Or because he's blonde, blue eyed and handsome, and your not ? Or because his voice is better than most singers today ? Or he made you uncomfortable because of your stereotypes? Pick one of these or let's hear your own bias 🤔

    • @yeahimdom2677

      Imagine, calling a black person being racist almost like it's not impossible. I don't care who tf sings what genre of music because my people created it all. Lmmfao. Y'all are hilarious 😂. Because I don't see his performance like you do then automatically it has to be because he's white. Im not like y'all, if he was black and sung and performed this exact performance identically I would have said the same thing. Like be soooo f#$* for real
