PART 2 OF THIS IS OUT. I talk about more time periods that are good for an assassin's creed game! th-cam.com/video/aso4JqZW64Q/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=TheHiddenOne
@@rodrigomadeira6541 so they already have lore for the specific point that they reached the America's?hmm.thats unfortunate that they cut off such a cool potential game.maybe they could write around it?like maybe an assassin who got ejected from the creed for some reason flees across the seas on one of the first few trips across and starts their own sort of creed to kill conquistadors who are Templar that also came across?idk.seems a damn shame they missed parkouring through tenochtitlan
I believe there are many historical time periods that would lend greatly to the franchise. These are some I’d like to see -The English civil war (1642-1651) -The wars of the roses. England (1455-1487) -Pax romana. Roman Empire (27BCE-180CE) -The fall of Rome (476AD)
Seriously, we need some revolutionary stuff that isn’t talked about as much. Especially in Europe. Sure, the French Revolution is cool, but what about the British doing cool shit too?
I would say just do one of the first two and one of the second two. Probably War of the Roses and Fall of Rome. Those seem more open to traditional Assassin's Creed stories.
Go ahead and make part 2. I just hope that you consider the time periods of the American Civil War, The Scottish Wars of Independence, Mongolia at the time of Genghis Khan, and the American Wild West. Because those are my favorite time periods that I want to see an AC: Game. Outside of Feudal Era Japan.
I love AC Odyssey, but I felt they made a mistake with Ancient Greece. They should have let AC Origins be the oldest time period and then made a sequel moving forward with Amunet in Ancient Rome because marked the boxes for what they clearly wanted with AC Odyssey....for example.... 1) They wanted a badass canon female lead character. We had Amunet. 2) They wanted to reboot the franchise but keep the connections to original. They did it beautifully with the Hidden Ones. 3) The first civilization was originally created with the names of the Roman gods and myths. 4) The conversion from the Roman Republic to Roman Empire is the ideal setting for the game. 5) We finally had next generation systems to show off the beauty and scale of Ancient Rome. 6) We didn't really get a satisfactory conclusion or ending to the characters of Origins. 7) They could have planted a lot seeds for the future games and easter egged the heck for the original franchise.
@@unarealtaragionevole---I think Amunet trying to take out Cleopatra would've been awesome to play with Bayek as a supporting character. I'm so sorry we didn't get that.
Wait what? No, I disagree, they could have rebooted the franchise while still connecting it to the original because the ultimate end game armor set for Ezio was the Armor of Brutus. Brutus who as alive during the time of Cleopatra and Caesar (aka Origins timeline and story).....and was a person who wanted to stop Caesar who represented the type of control the Templars want in the Ezio series. I mean there were so many possibilities to connect Origins to the Ezio games, it's hard to not see it as a seriously missed opportunity. Also, the whole introduction to the Isu comes to us with Ezio, and they are Roman gods and names. Yes, it's true that the Romans modeled a lot of their mythology from the Greeks; however, they actually had their own native religions and then modeled their gods after the Etruscan gods, not the Greeks. They came later. Now I am going to say something that offends my fellow AC lovers.....I hate the Isu. We don't need them. The eternal conflict between chaos/order, templars/assassins, self-determination/predestination (whatever one wants to call it) is more than enough for this game. We don't need this magical/super-science nonsense. The game would be better without it and that story line.
Ancient Rome - it quite literally encompasses the entire Mediterranean . You could have dozens of different regions that all look different, with dense cities in each province
The Spanish inqusition is literally a perfect setting. I mean the political complexity of the period would be amazing. Cities would be dense and populated with people and great architecture, which could spell the reinvention of the parkour system to something similar to Unity. The game could go into very dark places with it's themes and events. The crowds would be amazing. Come on Ubisoft.
If they want to be historically correct, the Spanish Inquisition would kill less people than the spanish assassins. "La leyenda negra española" is something that they should avoid.
well that would be based on what period of time there is more opportunities during the Indian history The Aryan dynasty The Maurya empire The Cholas and Pandyas The Chera empire The Mughal conquest and uprisings The conflict against Portugese in the South The initial conflict against Brits Invasion of Alexander the Great...... too many plots to explore
I feel the best japanese time period would be the Meji Restoration, as it was such a fast technological and political evolution you could make a great story and world out of it
yeah exactly, he talked in the video about the mongol invasion but with European templars and assassins i don't think it would make sense since the first contact was like 2 centuries later. The Meji restoration or even the Sengoku period would be perfect!
@@gert-jandegraeve3477 the mongol invasion idea made no sense and seemed to be based on Ghost of Tsushima. Meiji Japan or Sengoku Era Japan has so many more possibilities
That sounds great, but what about the period of isolation Japan had between 1500 and 1850. Imagine that the templars and assassins came to Japan before the isolation but during the isolation the Creed became more aligned with the samurai ways.
A game set in Meiji restoration could include parts of China as well to include the imperial city of Beijing, Korea, Dalian/Tianjin and their British concessions so it's a place where there are at least four or five different cultures.
Great video! For me the arrival of the conquistadors in South America would be a great setting for AC in the vein of Black Flag, have the protagonist be a native who meets both Assassins and Templars and has to choose who to side with, there is as you say near infinite potential here England has fascinating history from the War of the Roses to the Civil War so they could easily make a whole trilogy from that, and who wouldn’t want to parkour through the great fire of London! I wish we had seen the sequel to Unity, a crossover with Connor and Arno in the Napoleonic War as both go up against Shay, such a missed opportunity I really hope we get this one day The 30 years war in the early to mid 17th century could also be really interesting
I would like one in France and a bit of Portugal in 1310's when the templar order was destroyed. You could be a french templar working for Jacques de Molay and escaped to Portugal where you found an ally in the king D.Dinis that helps you and other templars to survive and creates the order of Christ. After helping the templars you return to France to hunt the king, the pope and Nogaret.
I would love a game or novel based on Imperial Brazil, a continuation of the Observatory story since Governor Torres sent all the blood samples they collected to Rio de Janeiro. We never really had a game set in South America, the only continent alongside Oceania that never had a game set in. Not only that but lusophones have only been antagonists in games so far.
1821 the Greek Revolution would be cool, also a game based in the Uk, where you have knights, queens and kings would be also cool. Another great one could be about ancient Rome and then after Rome falls to continue the story in Byzantium.
I know there was already an AC Chronicles version of China, and I know the playerbase is generally more interested in European or Japanese settings, but there is a lot of history and material they could cover in a game in China. Massive cities, various factions, diverse rural settings, a rich history of philosophical and martial arts, etc...
I agree we haven’t got an ancient china game , with the sci fi Demi god stuff they like to do they could go full on crouching tiger hidden dragon . That or ancient Korea
One period I'd love to see, is a sequel of AC Liberation set during the US Civil War. Jean Marchand, a sidecharacter from the AC Movie, operates out of New Orleans. The very same warehouse bought by Aveline nearly 100 years earlier. It can show how much New Orleans has grown beyond the wooden pallisades of the limited handheld days. The lavish mansion on the edge of town, now reduced to a crumbling eyesore in the middle of a growing neighborhood. The city stretches further still, even dipping it's feet into Lake Ponchetrain by the Spanish fort.
Actually, I think the Edo period (the 200+ years of isolation) would suit the Japan game best, because it'd be an excellent way to set itself apart from all the other Japan-based games set during the Sengoku period, but also: 1. The idea of the Japanese Assassins being cut off from the rest of the world while the Templars take them out until there's only handful left (and the game being about the protagonist having to build it back up by scratch) would really mitigate the enmity a lot of people have for the Japan AC being another RPG 2. There's so much immersion potential with random world events like helping out Jesuits who are being hunted down
If they made a Spanish Inquisition game, we could probably see Rodrigo Borgia return as sort of a leader of the templars. Or we could see the assassin travel to Italy to be trained by Ezio depending on what exact timeframe it takes place in. Or maybe the main character could be an assassin from Ezio's Italian brotherhood that gets sent to Spain on an assignment. So much potential.
I think it would be interesting to have an Assassins Creed game set during the earlier times of the Sicilian Mafia during the later half of the 1800s. So guns and and carriages just like in Syndicate, except the buildings are at least smaller to scale There would be several mafia "families", at least 4 or 5, where one of them are secretly the Assassin's where the other 3 or 4 are the supported by the Templars. Because of it taking place in Sicily, the Assassin Mafia family could be influenced by the teachings of their Italian mentor, Ezio Auditore
Im probably biased as I am a romanian, but I think a game set in Wallachia (Today Southern Romania) during Vlad the Impaler's reign would be really cool, especially considering the fact that it is mentioned in Revelations that the Assasins assasinated Vlad.
I think Meiji Era Japan would be the best fit. It would be easier to explain the presence of assassins and templars on Japan after the end of isolationism.
Crimean War. Interesting, unexplored setting, good naval combat opportunities, unique cities, plenty of historical figurea and lots of nations involved. It was a time of raidly evolving technologies, which would also make it interesting.
Only real problem with an Aztec one, is the fact that there is no way for it to have any connection to the Assassins because of the ocean separating them from the rest of the world and the only time that was breached was when the Empire fell
Could it not be as the empire falls?like you are just a skilled parkour kings guardsmen in tenochtitlan for the first half and then the second half Europeans show up and introduce assassins and Templars while you kill invading conquistadors.the whole city becoming ravaged by smallpox and such. Its been a while since my history class but something along those lines?
@@dougefresh2208 Yes but it was still connected to the creed with the battle with the Order of Ancients that became the Templars, something that can't happen in Aztec time period. And also considering how the Fall of the Aztecs was a total victory of one empire over the other not much room for Assassins
I really want to see Second World War setting, like in occupied France, which we see in Unity but bigger. Assassins will help the Allies and French Resistance, and Templars backing Nazis, or maybe some of the German army officers will be templars. The problem is, that game will be very similar to Sniper Elite games
The Meiji Restoration would be a far more interesting time period for Japan to have an Assassin's Creed game. Happening during the 1800s it would enable a far more interesting assortment of weapons and all of the foreign traders from Europe would give a reason for the Templars to be there.
I know this will be a controversial take but... I want to see AC game set during WW2. And before someone would say "it wouldn't work", oh yes it would, and The Saboteur game shows it. Yes we would most likely loose classic sword combat, because it would be more gun focused, and hand to hand combat would look like Arkham Games(Which syndicate was trying to mimic but failed due to unfinished and bad animations and enemies being punch sponges) but im all for it.
AC1 remains my all time favorite , I am elated to hear of the remake that will accompany this Mirage AC. My excitement is palpable , I can't wait to use beautiful moves to cut down my enemies with a Shamshir and single hidden blade. Perhaps we can even get the Byzantine Paramerion sword and perhaps we can ally with the Byzantines , ah the potential for gaming perfection is vast! I am currently loving Origins and am highly excited for Mirage. I do hope it will be good. I am also looking forward to be a Shinobi in 1400’s AD Japan . Then I would love to be a Mongol Assassin in 1200’s AD China. To be an Aztec assassin in Tenochtitlan would be insane, killing Messo priests that aim to sacrifice humans to Quetzalcoatl and assassinating corrupt Azetc kings ,replacing them with more capable leaders and then to fight against the invading Spanish conquistadors… so many possibilities. AC Babylon where you go up against the guards of Nebuchadnezzar I 1121 BC and help thwart his plans of the construction of the Tower of Babel. Follow Cyrus II The Great 600BC of the Achaemenid Persian Empire The Great King, King of Kings, King of Anshan, King of Media, King of Babylon, King of Sumer and Akkad, King of the Four Corners of the World to conquer Messopotamia, Anatolia and the levant. Abolishing Slavery throughout the Empire , conquering Babylon, and rescuing the Isrealite people and escorting them back to their homeland ,to Jerusalem. Medieval France where you fight against the Avignon Papacy of the 1260s AD - Treachery perpetrated by the Avignon Popes and the vile king Phillip IV the Fair 1264 AD, that betrayed the Templar order ,forced them to dissolve and brutally tortured and executed them. Thus in a twist, you end up helping the real / original Templar knights to escape torture and execution, to help them relocate, to start a new life (Such as in Portugal) and to help them fight against the new, evil powers in charge, the corrupt Avignon Papacy. Where we get to revisit the events of ‘’Unities’’ start where legend sir Jack de Molay had cited before the tribunal of God that vile Phillip and the corrupt Pope Clement will be cursed by God Three in One. This time , we will see his execution in person as an assassin allied to the knights. One year after he perpetrated his treachery, Phillip IV and Pope Clement were both struck down by God. Phillip having died in a ‘’Hunting Accident’’.... A few months after Phillips' burial , lightning struck the convent housing his remains and it burnt to the ground. And finally I need to go back to beautiful Constantinople but During the reign of Emp Justinian 500s AD, working for the Byzantine Emperors to Assassinate their numerous political enemies.
I know we’ve visited America several times, but I would love a game set during the American civil war. You could even have points in the game where the Assassins and Templars have to work together, since the Templars didn’t agree with slavery.
I think that the late Meiji era (1853-1867), also known as the Bakumatsu period, is fitting for an Assassin's Creed theme. This era was marked by revolution, with a secret rebel group called the 'Ishinshishi' resembling the Assassin Order and the shogun's elite samurai group, the Shinsengumi, resembling the Templar Order. There was a group of elite swordsmen who ambushed and assassinated the Shogun's governor at night, known as the 'Hitokiri' or 'Manslayers,' which fit the themes of Assassin's Creed. I believe the Bakumatsu period would be an excellent choice for the game's setting.
I am not going to lie, I would love a Watch Dogs x Assassin's Creed game It's like a full-on game about assassins in modern years. It wouldn't be historically accurate but, you can't lie, you do want to do a leap of faith off of a skyscraper.
My settings for an AC game could be the Second Sino-Japanese War, medieval Europe (maybe during the Hundred Year War), Feudal Japan where the assasin can be a Ronin or Samurai- turned ronin , Anglo - Zulu War , American Civil War which will be a continuation from AC 3, and the Russian Civil War/Revolution where we could probably attempt to assasinate John Lenin or Rasputin.
Actually a game set during the aztec times is apparently in active development so your wish may come true lol. I would love to see a game set in Africa or Australia. Idk what time periods but I think seeing all that rich wildlife from those regions could be sick!!!
@@skolcole While Egypt is in Africa, it's quite different to the rest of Africa. I want to see the savannah and explore the wonders of the continent :).
nice video man love the content and picks but i would like to add india as a setting....i can see 3 possibilities the ancient india, mughal empire or british takeover....those would be rly cool in my opinion
Would like to see: The Yugoslavia region during the Ottoman Empire or during the WWII but maybe to modern Alexandre the Great period Count dracula setting could be very cool to do something with that lore Austria-Hungary Empire Ancient Rome, how it became such a big Empire Russian Empire during a Tsaar period
Berlin during cold war era could be a great place too...or between 2 wars era... Those were very turbulent times and if developers make right decisions it could be a great addition to rich lore
My theory on why Ubisoft hasn’t made a Japanese ac game is the fact the graphics weren’t good enough to capture the beauty we all want from that game. Very happy to hear that they are now going there
Rattling off in progress: In my opinion, It would also be easier to stage the creed coming to Japan, shinobi may not be like they’re portrayed in media but the creed can intermingle and even find a way to involve themselves by training and recruiting samurai and ashigaru into their services, wherein the trope of a ninja order/clan can be thrown out for an assassin-led faction focusing on the stealthier aspects of real life shinobi. Similar to Black Flag it could also offer the experience of being an assassin as well as another class of fighter. Where Kenway was a pirate turned assassin a protagonist of a Japanese AC game could be a samurai turned shinobi/assassin. Plus, with the new fighting mechanics brought from Origins it would allow for us to play with loads of historical weaponry instead of just one weapon. Oh, and guns being a canon event during Sengoku Jidai. Hell, I’d be even more down if it had a daimyo mechanic where you could lead troops into battle. There’s so many possibilities if they created a Japanese AC game and I want it so bad. Edit: and with the way they’ve been crafting worlds I already know it would be a huge map of Japan that will be beautiful and rather historically accurate for the most part.
The two I want the most is the Aztec empire and India. Luckily it appears both are coming in assassins creed nebula. I’d also like to see the Byzantine empire.
The Diadochi Wars. Or any stretch of time with the Successor Kingdoms. Honestly, I'm surprised there hasn't been a game, movie, or show made by ANYONE. So much material.
I would love to see the series go to the ancient rome empire, even thought we got some of it in origins, I think there's a lot more to see and explore in that setting
my opinion is a time period around 1066 where harald hardrada harold godwinson and william the 1 they could portray things like fighting on a horse or choosing one of the three king at war to help them and let you choose how the battle plays out also they could improve on the ability to fight in wars and lead invasions kind of like odyssey and valhala where you can march with an army
A game that’s sorta a inverted version of rogue, you start off as a young Templar and witness the grandmaster utilize an apple of Eden to control the people around, you steal the apple from the grandmaster and defect to the assassins, throw some extra stuff in all that and put it in any time and get a mission style like mirage mixed with unity, a similar control scheme closer to the older games with clean animations so ur not just slashing and parrying like with the newer games, a proper working parkour system close to unity’s but maybe toned down enough to where it doesn’t feel clunky and I think Ubisoft will be back on track with this series
How about the age of discovery ,the portuguese templars destroying the ottomans in the pacific bringing Back the black flag gameplay and then reaching japan and introducing firearms and from there You have a sequel in japan
I feel like a game in the American Civil War would be a cool concept u play as a slave who’s plantation was liberated by assassins which is how ur journey wit the creed starts it would be a lil like Connor where u don’t start off an assassin but have to train an do minor missions bfore becoming one. They could work in a narrative tht ppl like Harriett Tubman an Frederick Douglas were assassins and major confederates like Stonewall Jackson, Robert E Lee and Jefferson Davis were templars it would be very controversial but I think if done right could be great
As much as I would LOVE to see an AC game that takes place in the Warring States period, there are also other periods they can explore like the events that take place in the Heikemonogatari and the Genpei War, the Edo period (like in 13 Assassins) or the Satsuma Rebellion.
I think a game set at the start/ end of the bronze age or even in ancient sumeria would be really cool. Sumeria could show the real start of the conflict between the templars and assassins, in line with the literal birth of civilisation, where the character could traverse the ancient near east, possibly even seeing and settling in the ruins of the first civilisation. Alternatively, at the end of the bronze age, the series could explore northern Europe and the conflicts between proto-civilisations, small villages and tribes battling over trade routes, with the templar v assassin conflict being inserted through these ancient trading networks - customisation would also be huge, weapons and armour coming from all over Europe and the ancient near east providing a wide range of diversity. this is personally my favourite, as we could experience mercenaries from ancient civilisations as well as the cultural blends that stem from (at the time) global trade, and could provide a compelling narrative through intertribal conflict, culminating in Europe's first recorded battle (Battle of Tollense Valley). maybe that is too much for the scope of an ac game but it is a really unrepresented area of history in media and I think an ac game, if done well, would be able to provide an unforgettable and unique experience.
Time periods I would love to see: -I'm Hungarian and I always dreamt of an AC game set around the revolution of 1848-1849, and the story could revolve around Vienna, Budapest, revolutionary war and could end up in Russia or the orher way around. -If not a new setting but I would love to see Edward Kenway in a England based sequel -I love nordic settings so maybe a Danish-Icelandic conquest type of game around the 1380's
Ancient Israel is my #1 dream setting!!! They could make an entry centered on The Great Jewish Revolt with the historical Sicarii as the Assassin faction. The Sicarii used concealed daggers (hidden blades) and disappeared into crowds after assassinating their targets, the game practically writes itself imo.
Balogna, Italy. The city was once full of dozens of tower like castles that it is still famous for today. It would lend easily to an amazing urban assassin experience. There's plenty of room for templar influence as well as the reason behind the construction of the towers was likely rising tensions in a power struggle between the kingless lords that governed the city.
It'd probably need to be like AC2 with multiple cities and we've already seen Florence and Venice. If we do further explore that region of Italy I'd suggest also including Genoa at its height and maybe Verona or something. I know it's all the way down south, but Naples could also work.
Well... Spain... But I get you, Medieval France where you fight against the Avignon Papacy of the 1260s AD - Treachery perpetrated by the Avignon Popes and the vile king Phillip IV the Fair 1264 AD, that betrayed the Templar order ,forced them to dissolve and brutally tortured and executed them. Thus in a twist, you end up helping the real / original Templar knights to escape torture and execution, to help them relocate, to start a new life (Such as in Portugal) and to help them fight against the new, evil powers in charge, the corrupt Avignon Papacy. I really want to see the story of how and why the Assassins decided to park in Masyaf for so long. I also... this one will never happen, but even if it's just a comic, I want to see the Fourth Crusade from the perspective of the local Brotherhood. In that Crusade, the Templars basically defeated themselves through poor strategy.
Assassin's Creed has gone to the Sengoku Period before, in the card collecting game (that also features missions) known as Assassin's Creed Memories in which it features some historical figures such as Hattori Hanzo
Defenitely for the Aztec empire, but I wanted to add that we have seen so few countries which have a lot of great history or historic moments e.g. setting in Rusdia during the time of the Decembrist revolution (Russian revolution of 1905 would be too recent), Polish uprisings, we could have it set in Germany, or some other countries I mean for me those two especially brutal full of blood perfect opprtunities for stealth and for action combat scenes so a mixture with maybe also some cinematic shots like they once did with the runs, because in a revolution there are needs for stealth, plenty of needs to do other things, plus a great opportunity to bring back assassin recruitment, and even though it's reletively unheard of that's a good thing, it's a great time which is relitively unknown so a game like AC could teach some history and it has the most amount of freedom by being one of the first on the scene, anyway for me definitely including more countries as well plus it's set in Europe (the one in Russia not anytime in the future but eventually it could make a cool place and time is all I'm saying treating history as history and for now taking out the prejudice just as a hypothetical place I don't know 45 years after everything has ended and they've lost these aren't going to be done recently anyway plus it's a hypothetical if anything)
An Assassin’s Creed game set during the Philippine Revolution 1896-1898 against imperial Spain would be incredible. The religious persecution of Muslim and indigenous peoples of the Philippines in the hands of Spain and the Catholic Church plus the emergence of the secretive Katipunan revolutionary forces has the makings for an interesting conflict in the dense jungles of the Philippine islands where guerilla warfare reigned supreme. Plus, with Spanish colonialism, there was plenty of Spanish architecture built in the Philippines that could still offer verticality akin to Unity’s Paris.
If Ubisoft wanted to do Japan and other unique periods of time, they would do it. Ubisoft owners know exactly what could help the franchise and choose to either hold, trash, or pump fake games nowadays. Pump fake imo means a game that shows a beautiful trailer but release a game half baked or not really polished; or even interesting in any way. Bring back the people who actually took the time out to make beautiful games to remember, especially in story mode alone. #FixAssassinsCreed
I'd love to see a ac game centered around the Golden horde , possibly even have batu Kahn as the Templar grandmaster, I'd also like to see an ac game where you essentially lose
There is also Assassin's Creed project Jade. In theory it may take place in China, during the Qin dynasty, it would be awesome to play as an assassin on that time and experience seeing the 1st emperor of China. Alternative time line are the Zou dynasty, the Tang dynasty, the Ming dynasty or the Han dynasty.
07:13 The Aquemenid Empire and the Roman Empire are centuries appart. I think you mean to the later Parthian Empire, contemporary of the Roman Republic and Empire, which appears 3 centuries after the collapse of the Aquemenids due to Alexander the Great and subsequent greco-persian empire of the Seleucids. Btw can't wait to see a game set in the Incan Empire before and during the spanish conquest.
I think an assasins creed set during the cold war with flasbacks to the vietnam war would be cool but that would be like a modern day setting, that or an assasins creed set once again in the US but during the time of the prohibition and when gangsters were popular
I would want to visit the 100 years war in the medieval time between the British and the French that, and I’m curious to see how the Templars took the sword of Eden away from Joan of arc. All we got was a brief glimpse into that time. Three subject 16s puzzles.
@rcshadow8112 I think we have had a decent amount of medieval games already. I would love to see one in the 17th century (30 years war, English civil war, Louis XIV ect).
I wished they could do the Maya civilization during its golden age since that technically came after origins plus they can do a assassin who is a sage in which both assassins and templars are trying to convert the sage into their ideas
They can focus it on one of the big wars, such as Tikal Vs Calakmul or Pelenque. Of set it during the abandoning of the central cities for the ones on the Yucatan Peninsula. They'd need a lot of fiction though as so much isn't known about the ancient Mayan culture, events or even names for places. It may be better to focus it around the Spanish conquest of Tenochtitlan, Monte Alban, etc. It'd be hard to frame either the Aztecs or the Spanish as the good guys though, so it's probably be like AC3 with you being a native stuck in the middle. The Incan Empire is also a potentially great setting.
Ancient Aztecs would be awesome, but lorewise I think it would have to be a time after the Spanish have shown up because they were unaware of the eastern Hemisphere and therefore would have had no way of knowing about the assassins until introduced to those ideas
How about a fully modern game? That mentions Desmond and we get to see the creed in modern day try and take down the templars, there are just so many possibilities for a modern day AC game
If they do a Japan setting, I think it would be better if they did it during the Kamakura shogunate, specifically the establishment of the Kamakura shogunate, the Hōgen rebellion and the Genpei War. Or maybe they could do Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s invasion of Korea.
feudal japan or maybe ancient persia would be cool. Would be down for the HRE during late middle ages, perhaps something incorporated with Martin Luther. Late medieval England would also be nice. Lastly China during the ming would be sweet
PART 2 OF THIS IS OUT. I talk about more time periods that are good for an assassin's creed game!
th-cam.com/video/aso4JqZW64Q/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=TheHiddenOne
Vlad Teppes' Wallachia would be an interesting setting
The the time before the Chicago fire
100% they need a Aztec/Mayan jaguar assassin game. Pyramids, Tombs, Jungles and Anacondas like that would be absolutely amazing
Won’t work, the assassins didn’t reach the Americas until after the Aztec empire fell.
@iterationfackshet1990 they did odyssey
?? Odyssey, origins, and mirage are way before they could definitely do it and it would be absolutely amazing
@@dougefresh2208 Odyssey is in greece, the assassins reached the americas near the black flag time line, and the Aztecs where already dead
These are some I’d like to see
-The English civil war (1642-1651)
-The wars of the roses. England (1455-1487)
-Pax romana. Roman Empire (27BCE-180CE)
-The fall of Rome (476AD)
Seriously, we need some revolutionary stuff that isn’t talked about as much. Especially in Europe. Sure, the French Revolution is cool, but what about the British doing cool shit too?
We had the UK twice in the series already. It’s time to focus on other big countries like Germany, Russia, India etc.
I would say just do one of the first two and one of the second two. Probably War of the Roses and Fall of Rome. Those seem more open to traditional Assassin's Creed stories.
It would be amazing
I'll make a part 2 of this, because there's so many more time periods. But these in this video are MY personal favourites. ❤
@@jaystatiion uhhh coming soon- 😳
Ancient Rome - it quite literally encompasses the entire Mediterranean . You could have dozens of different regions that all look different, with dense cities in each province
I was hoping we would get a sequel to origins set in different parts of the roman empire
I would say it’s much too similar to Greece in odyssey for them to do it
@@zenthous9568 The roman empire covered millions of square miles, it wouldnt just have to be in Greece or Italy
@@KingFancyson perhaps, but it would make more sense if it was
@@KingFancyson even so, much of the Mediterranean would look the same
The Spanish inqusition is literally a perfect setting. I mean the political complexity of the period would be amazing. Cities would be dense and populated with people and great architecture, which could spell the reinvention of the parkour system to something similar to Unity. The game could go into very dark places with it's themes and events. The crowds would be amazing. Come on Ubisoft.
I wouldn't even be mad if they reuse Aguilar, the ancestor from the movie.
No already been done
If they want to be historically correct, the Spanish Inquisition would kill less people than the spanish assassins. "La leyenda negra española" is something that they should avoid.
And Hernan Cortez could be a templar
well yeah but no one ever expects the Spanish inquisition
I think India will blow our minds! The amount of culture and the rich colors will be like nothing we have seen! This is my most anticipated setting!
Fr I've been thinking about how cool it would be
Yeah there was also that Indian assassin with Jacob and Evie in Syndicate, it'd be amazing too experience this setting
well that would be based on what period of time
there is more opportunities during the Indian history
The Aryan dynasty
The Maurya empire
The Cholas and Pandyas
The Chera empire
The Mughal conquest and uprisings
The conflict against Portugese in the South
The initial conflict against Brits
Invasion of Alexander the Great......
too many plots to explore
@jax well technically there is Assassin's Creed Chronicles India but is not a open world game...
Hopefully it includes lahore (pakistan) and some of bangladesh too maybe so the south asian community can get rep
I feel like the Sengoku era would fit too
FINALLY SOMEONE TALKED ABOUT THE DISCOVERY MODES. Top quality as always brother!
Great video! For me the arrival of the conquistadors in South America would be a great setting for AC in the vein of Black Flag, have the protagonist be a native who meets both Assassins and Templars and has to choose who to side with, there is as you say near infinite potential here
England has fascinating history from the War of the Roses to the Civil War so they could easily make a whole trilogy from that, and who wouldn’t want to parkour through the great fire of London!
I wish we had seen the sequel to Unity, a crossover with Connor and Arno in the Napoleonic War as both go up against Shay, such a missed opportunity I really hope we get this one day
The 30 years war in the early to mid 17th century could also be really interesting
i think Spain would be better during the 11th century and go from Muslim Spain to Christian Spain
I would love one of the spain reconquest. Great video. I definitely need more like this.
@@Yosemite_sam694there is an upcoming game called “The Bustling World” set in ancient China
Medieval time set in Germany 🇩🇪
Actually, I think the Edo period (the 200+ years of isolation) would suit the Japan game best, because it'd be an excellent way to set itself apart from all the other Japan-based games set during the Sengoku period, but also:
1. The idea of the Japanese Assassins being cut off from the rest of the world while the Templars take them out until there's only handful left (and the game being about the protagonist having to build it back up by scratch) would really mitigate the enmity a lot of people have for the Japan AC being another RPG
So guns and and carriages just like in Syndicate, except the buildings are at least smaller to scale
There would be several mafia "families", at least 4 or 5, where one of them are secretly the Assassin's where the other 3 or 4 are the supported by the Templars.
As long as they don’t go anywhere before ancient Egypt since that’s the start of the brotherhood I’m good
I think Meiji Era Japan would be the best fit. It would be easier to explain the presence of assassins and templars on Japan after the end of isolationism.
They should have one set in Amsterdam. Seems like a no brainer.
Also they did odyssey and that was set before the founding of the creed
@@dougefresh2208 Yes but it was still connected to the creed with the battle with the Order of Ancients that became the Templars, something that can't happen in Aztec time period. And also considering how the Fall of the Aztecs was a total victory of one empire over the other not much room for Assassins
@@revanius2213 assassins game where your side loses
I really want to see Second World War setting, like in occupied France, which we see in Unity but bigger. Assassins will help the Allies and French Resistance, and Templars backing Nazis, or maybe some of the German army officers will be templars. The problem is, that game will be very similar to Sniper Elite games
My only issue with a Japan game is not the setting but the fact that I want to be an assassin, not a samurai
I mean you could be a japanese assassin. The stereotype is always a samurai.
Follow Cyrus II The Great 600BC of the Achaemenid Persian Empire
The Great King, King of Kings, King of Anshan, King of Media, King of Babylon, King of Sumer and Akkad, King of the Four Corners of the World to conquer Messopotamia, Anatolia and the levant.
Bro I’m so glad you brought up the Aztec era. Why does no one make games in that era?
I am not going to lie, I would love a Watch Dogs x Assassin's Creed game
It's like a full-on game about assassins in modern years.
It wouldn't be historically accurate but, you can't lie, you do want to do a leap of faith off of a skyscraper.
Thanks for this fun content brother
My settings for an AC game could be the Second Sino-Japanese War, medieval Europe (maybe during the Hundred Year War), Feudal Japan where the assasin can be a Ronin or Samurai- turned ronin , Anglo - Zulu War , American Civil War which will be a continuation from AC 3, and the Russian Civil War/Revolution where we could probably attempt to assasinate John Lenin or Rasputin.
John Lenin?
I would also love to see the Roman empire, but I think it's very similar to AC Odyssey and origins but it would be cool
Actually a game set during the aztec times is apparently in active development so your wish may come true lol.
I would love to see a game set in Africa or Australia. Idk what time periods but I think seeing all that rich wildlife from those regions could be sick!!!

Wouldn’t feel like an ac game with all the guns and what not
My theory on why Ubisoft hasn’t made a Japanese ac game is the fact the graphics weren’t good enough to capture the beauty we all want from that game. Very happy to hear that they are now going there
The Reconquista would be a better period for Assassin's Creed than the Inquisition in my opinion.
Rattling off in progress:
In my opinion, It would also be easier to stage the creed coming to Japan, shinobi may not be like they’re portrayed in media but the creed can intermingle and even find a way to involve themselves by training and recruiting samurai and ashigaru into their services, wherein the trope of a ninja order/clan can be thrown out for an assassin-led faction focusing on the stealthier aspects of real life shinobi.
The parkour in japan will be so fire🔥🔥🔥
As an Iranian, I approve of your Persian time period
Your content and commentary is really good! Definitely deserve more subs
I appreciate that!
my opinion is a time period around 1066 where harald hardrada harold godwinson and william the 1 they could portray things like fighting on a horse or choosing one of the three king at war to help them and let you choose how the battle plays out also they could improve on the ability to fight in wars and lead invasions kind of like odyssey and valhala where you can march with an army
They could work in a narrative tht ppl like Harriett Tubman an Frederick Douglas were assassins and major confederates like Stonewall Jackson, Robert E Lee and Jefferson Davis were templars it would be very controversial but I think if done right could be great
I'd love a game set during the Tutor/ Elizabethan era in England (Mary I to Elizabeth I). I'd also love a game set during WW1 Belgium
I'd also love to see a game set somewhere in the Byzantine empire period a lot of historical moments happened during that period
And I would love to see AC in Poland. For example, the 19th century as a member of the resistance movement against the invaders.
Time periods I would love to see:
-I'm Hungarian and I always dreamt of an AC game set around the revolution of 1848-1849, and the story could revolve around Vienna, Budapest, revolutionary war and could end up in Russia or the orher way around.
-If not a new setting but I would love to see Edward Kenway in a England based sequel
-I love nordic settings so maybe a Danish-Icelandic conquest type of game around the 1380's
Yessss
Balogna, Italy. The city was once full of dozens of tower like castles that it is still famous for today. It would lend easily to an amazing urban assassin experience. There's plenty of room for templar influence as well as the reason behind the construction of the towers was likely rising tensions in a power struggle between the kingless lords that governed the city.
It'd probably need to be like AC2 with multiple cities and we've already seen Florence and Venice.
If we do further explore that region of Italy I'd suggest also including Genoa at its height and maybe Verona or something.
I know it's all the way down south, but Naples could also work.
surprised I didn't see medieval europe in here
Well... Spain...

In that Crusade, the Templars basically defeated themselves through poor strategy.
Assassin's Creed has gone to the Sengoku Period before, in the card collecting game (that also features missions) known as Assassin's Creed Memories in which it features some historical figures such as Hattori Hanzo
i mean i'd like a persia game but i kinda always doubted it because of the fact creed came from PoP
The hatian revolution would also be a great setting, takes place in 1791
Defenitely for the Aztec empire, but I wanted to add that we have seen so few countries which have a lot of great history or historic moments e.g. setting in Rusdia during the time of the Decembrist revolution (Russian revolution of 1905 would be too recent), Polish uprisings, we could have it set in Germany, or some other countries I mean for me those two especially brutal full of blood perfect opprtunities for stealth and for action combat scenes so a mixture with maybe also some cinematic shots like they once did with the runs, because in a revolution there are needs for stealth, plenty of needs to do other things, plus a great opportunity to bring back assassin recruitment, and even though it's reletively unheard of that's a good thing, it's a great time which is relitively unknown so a game like AC could teach some history and it has the most amount of freedom by being one of the first on the scene, anyway for me definitely including more countries as well plus it's set in Europe (the one in Russia not anytime in the future but eventually it could make a cool place and time is all I'm saying treating history as history and for now taking out the prejudice just as a hypothetical place I don't know 45 years after everything has ended and they've lost these aren't going to be done recently anyway plus it's a hypothetical if anything)
Plus, with Spanish colonialism, there was plenty of Spanish architecture built in the Philippines that could still offer verticality akin to Unity’s Paris.
wow i did not expect the spanish inquisition to be on here
If Ubisoft wanted to do Japan and other unique periods of time, they would do it.
Loving the vids man, can't wait for your thoughts on Mirage once it's released. Keep up the great work! 😁👍
It would be cool to play during the Alexander time period where you are a close advisor for Alexander the Great.

I was not expecting that last one... :-p

We already got the Spanish inquisition in assassin’s Creed discovery for the DS with ezio
I think an assasins creed set during the cold war with flasbacks to the vietnam war would be cool but that would be like a modern day setting, that or an assasins creed set once again in the US but during the time of the prohibition and when gangsters were popular

@rcshadow8112 Meh? She was a lunatic with profound self-delusion.
Tho k a good idea for a spin-off for assassins creed would be set at the attack on Pearl Harbor
Ancient Aztecs would be awesome, but lorewise I think it would have to be a time after the Spanish have shown up because they were unaware of the eastern Hemisphere and therefore would have had no way of knowing about the assassins until introduced to those ideas
What about Mayan stuff? That'd be neat. They could include the calendar
The japan game could also do the Kamakura/Muromachi period and follow the fall of the Hojo dynasty. That would be really cool
How about a fully modern game? That mentions Desmond and we get to see the creed in modern day try and take down the templars, there are just so many possibilities for a modern day AC game
Great video 🔥
Feudal Japan,Monghol Invasions,Present time,Cold war,WW2/WW1,Dark ages
If they do a Japan setting, I think it would be better if they did it during the Kamakura shogunate, specifically the establishment of the Kamakura shogunate, the Hōgen rebellion and the Genpei War. Or maybe they could do Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s invasion of Korea.
feudal japan or maybe ancient persia would be cool. Would be down for the HRE during late middle ages, perhaps something incorporated with Martin Luther. Late medieval England would also be nice. Lastly China during the ming would be sweet
Georgian golden age would be amzing too!
The Spanish Inquisition? I did not expect that
