I know it’s set before the founding of The Hidden Ones but I’d love to see a game where you play as Iltani during Alexander The Greats Conquest the plot could be that Iltani’s family was killed during Alexander’s conquest so she tries to hunt him down but throughout the story she learns about the isu and piece of Eden
Plus, it would be a good way to explore Alexander’s discovery of the POE in Siwa, helping to link this story with Origins. Plus, it’s very likely that Alexander may have been a tainted one like Kassandra, seeing as in real, life when he visited Siwa he was told he was a descendant of Zeus. In the ac universe this could be translated to him discovering he is either a direct descendant of Zeus (aka Jupiter as he’s mostly been known in AC), or upon discovering he is a tainted one and discovers the knowledge in the Isu temple he misinterprets him being a tainted one as implying that he is a descendant of Zeus.

Thank you for this content! I'm someone who fell out of love with the games and ran out of steam after the Ezio collection. I could not bring myself to finish Black Flag. I'm retrying all the games from the start and I'm currently at AC2. I intend to surf through them using your content as lore to keep up the passion.
I fell off after Black flag, finally dragged myself through origins and started Odyssey and they do fall off a little in the more RPG style ones. Mirage looks fun though so you can probably get it for cheap when you get through them all.
Really liked this video, since Amunet/Ava has been in a game, you meet Darius in the dlc for Odyssey, I'd be quite happy with games on Qulan Gal, Iltani and Leonius. Maybe one on Wei Yu depending on how much he is in Jade and if we ever get a port of it.
I wish there was a Japanese assassins creed but I guess China would be the next best thing because Ubisoft said they don’t plan on it, ghost of Tsushima is literally like a assassins creed game but with Samurai I def suggest it
Couldn’t reference the Roman brotherhood bc it didn’t exist during the conquest of Alexander the hidden ones weren’t created yet either for a couple hundred years
Darius is just the first RECORDED use. With the Bronze Age Collapse, it's entirely possible that more records were just lost. Imagine a game set in the height of Babylon, or during the Bronze Age Collapse. Also, Amunnet retcons could be a result of lost history? I mean, it's a thousand year difference
A story with Iltani would not have included Amunet or any reference to The Hidden Ones as Alexander died centuries before the events of Assassin's Creed Origins, thus so would have Iltani
in-universe answer - Qulan Gal got the credit, not surprising given Altair and his family went into hiding for decades after returning from Mongolia real answer - that was a retcon from when Secret Crusade was written
Ah, what a game... It reminds me of my adolescence when the main problem was coming home from school and spending 4 hours on the PS3 in the afternoon. I still remember when I went to pick up my copy at Gamestop since I had pre-ordered it months before. I still have it, I have them all... Sooner or later I'll take out the PS3 and play it again.
Still better gameplay than the newer Assassins Creeds. The Ezio games were in a different league of storytelling and immersiveness that modern AC games wish they had.
in previous entries Darus was Persian like a Hassan-i Sabbah- that's mean his signature weapon started as part of legacy only for Assassin's from AC1. In Origins things started be more complicated- because now Aya was descendent of Darius and founder of Hidden Ones in Rome. Now Leonius character make less sense, because if he was Hidden One from 4th centry Rome he should use hidden Blade for Caligua asassination. There's so many fan service in Origins 😐
The info we got from him is that he assassinated Calgula with a dagger. That doesn’t mean he didn’t have a HB just that he used a dagger to do the act. Which means he could have been in an actual fight and the hidden blade, isn’t a great weapon to fight with.
Its both impressive and sad, that Ubisoft cannot seem to get its own lore in order, and is now a mess that, hopefully but doubt it, the next AC actually progress the present setting
I might be missing something but how can Iltani have been one of the first Hidden Ones if she assassinated Alexander the Great, who has been dead for about 300 years when the Hidden Ones were founded by Bayek and Aya? We even go into his tomb in the city named after him in Origins. Also, Rome was barely more than a city by that point. I think you might’ve gotten your years mixed up.
I want all of these to be made into individual games but someone in ubisoft has prob already prepossessed the idea and was told 'nah the people can read into the lore instead if they are that interested'
Whether it was planned or not, seeing Amunet and Darius was a double take moment for me, especially how recent it's been since I played the games. I definitely want to find the time to start a full AC playthough re-run again. Great video!

Release order? AC 1 to Mirage, or Shadows when it comes out. Chronilogically (Modern Day story) .....frankly ive no clue which game starts and ends the modern day narrative. When I was a kid, and I saw this, i thought for sure these Assassins were gonna be apart of new games. I also semt ubisoft a letter when I was 10 saying they should make a game in Egypt and when origins came out i was stoked and it brought back memories. AC will always be an iconic game for me.
Hopefully its a mobile game where you have to pay real money to open boxes where they might be inside to unlock, but youll need to open a lot to get them all.
its crazy that they slowly casted every assassin among these in some of the game and books like wei yu in recent codename jade, aya as amunet from ac origins, darius from odyssey and etc. The babylonian is left so maybe we could get a game se during the time of alexander the great.
I also love that in Valhalla you can find papers and stories about how Amunet showed up to different Berureu's to teach them and makensure they were doing the work. She never told the recruits her name, but later they realized she wae a co founder of the Hidden Ones
im suprised i havent seen nor can i find a deep detailed analysis of assassin creed 2s most interesting mystery, that of the glyphs hidden around italy that revealed the truth subject 16 found out. if you ever had an idea for another long indepth video I love the lore of this franchise.
AC is one of the few series that could still go on for decades and not run out of ideas. Always thought a 1861-65 American civil war one would be awesome. Kinda like Django in a way would be my best way of describing it
Ubisoft should have made games for all the assassins that aren't really spoken about or seen in the games. I am, however, looking forward to playing as Basim in Mirage and learning more about his backstory. Shame they couldn't do the same for the Auditore Villa assassin statues apart from Altair and a very short playthrough as Aya in Origins. Would have been nice to see more of her other than just an optional legendary lieutenant in Odyssey.
Do a video about 10 annoying things in assassins creed that are somewhat unique to the franchise (doesn’t have to be unique to the franchise tho) like game mechanics or whatever. Such as being disynchronised the moment an enemy spots you sometimes even if you kill him immediately before anyone else even knows.
Reason why I love some stories of these legends heck I really want to hear an Puerto Rican assassin named Miguel Ramos Carlo de Lugo. An assassin who’s hunt down Juan Ponce the León to find the fountain of youth (an Eden piece of internal youth). Hope to see that one day in comics or a game!
As much as a missed opportunity it is to explore some of these assassins more. I've been replaying black flag recently. And the existence of assassins that predate the order or have no formal training or brotherhood remind me of how Kidd mentions that the Creed transcends language and culture.
To say that Ubisoft had it all planned since AC2 is like saying George Lucas had the entire Clone Wars planned since name dropping it in A New Hope. Occam's Razor says they came up with the names and then weaved them into the story as the sequels rolled out.
In my opinion, IF Altair would’ve gotten as many installments as Ezio it would’ve been able to cover all the story content from his life that we missed including his connections & time spent working with these master assassin’s that we weren’t able to explore.
Of all these, Amunet and Iltani were by far the most interesting to me. I played a good bit of Origins but the constant "you're not high enough level" shit made me drop it. I wish we could have played as Aya but Bayek is still cool as hell. Iltani is the one I am most interested in. In any game, I am a huge sucker for poison, and to think Iltani's style was possibly centered around poisons is so damn cool, and I really wish we had a game to play as her.
It's been frustrating that Ubisoft hasn't done games featuring most of these Assassins and historical rulers, but there is always time to do it. They don't have to follow a linear timeline for their games. Now that they are cutting the modern storyline out of the games and having Assassin's Creed Infinity do it they should be able to jump around more freely.
I love assassins creed origins and i enjoyed every second i played as Bayek, but theres no reason they needed to set the orgin of the assassin's during that period of time. It undermines all of the connections to the assassins that these statues have,
That is the thing about assassins creed now. Like I'm sure the majority of the fans like an 80% base would love more historical like games. Where as is now they seem a bit too obssesed with showing more of the Isu people which hardly anyone asked for in that extent
I recall hearing Ubisoft saying the Infinity platform will allow for more linear & short form stories will older characters from the franchise.... We can hope!
they really should make one in rome during roman times imagine legionaires marching through the streets , the parkour would be amazing, the landscape would be crazy, the potential for plots is also huge as plotting was basicly the national sport of romans you could find slaves germanics old legionaires and other undesirables in the assassins guild
I always ask with myself: Which is the mostly Ultimate Assassin ever from Assassin's Creed franchise, the one which is the more powerful one and virtually immortal? AC Odyssey and AC Valhalla just gave us a close that assassin I have in mind, but... still some things lacking for both Eivor and Kassandra/Alexios to be the Ultimate Assassins ever.
One thing I love abt AC since im a pretty new fan is how many possibilities they have for stories with the Hidden Ones/Assassin's. Id say that my favorite pic for a game would be in the fall of Rome and reign of Justinian. Ive said this on multiple comment sections but its a perfect setup for the core story beats. Bad Guys A secret order throwing the world into chaos could be corrupt Roman officals which would have plenty of material to draw off of real life. Roman officials especially in Gaul were horrible to their populations of germanic peoples like force starvation, slavery, and basically sacrificing them in battle by making them bear the brunt of enemies. So perfect material for an order of ancients to cause havoc and ubi could easily tie in a dlc or storyline with the fall of the hidden ones in England to play setup for Valhalla. You could also tie in Attila in some manner to bring in further chaos to a crumbling branch of the hidden ones. We really havent seen the assassins/hidden ones lose their influence on an area so itd make for a fresh twist on the formula (from my knowledge) Setting Agrippa
It would be awesome a assassins creed in Japan with samurai and shit get to work alongside a shogunate or assassinate one like some ronin that got kicked out of samurai class
When I first played this game I would have bet anything they were going to make a game centered on each one of these characters. I thought it was a no Brainerd at the time.
Hi sorry. First love your video and this was so helpful! The first emperor is pronounced like the word Chin. Sorry stickler for history. Other than that thank you so much for this video! Your editing is good, your narration is good I have been dying for this info. Thanks
I love how, after AC2, we got to play games for all of these historic assassins🙌 Oh wait?…. None of these setup characters returned? Just 1 kinda? I guess that makes sense they just threw away all the backstory, as they threw away the whole franchise recently 💀
So out of the 7 of them, 4 get a mainline entry. Altair, obviously the 1st game and Revelations Wei Yu, AC Jade Darius, AC Odyssey Amunet, AC Origins The other 3 are basically either finished through other media or have yet to be made.
Great video! where do you get your information from? I have been trying to find reliable sources or even books that explain the lore in detail. Are there any books out there that you recommend, or comics dedicated to the AC lore? (Other than playing the games)
Alexander the Great happens before Origins though Julius Caesar even talks about how much he admires him so there wouldn't be a britherhood unless they retconned origins to being the 2nd begininng of the Hidden One's much like how we assumed AC1 Assassin's was the beginning it was actually the 2nd beginning.
It's amazing to me that one of the statues there is there.....cause he got an assist kill. I'm talking about the Mongolian Assassin guy, he shot Genghis Kahn's Horse. Darim Ibn Altair killed Genghis himself.
Ubisoft could literally keep the francise running if they just make the subsequent games in the series about those 7 respectively but nooo the story about Loki reincarnate in Baghdad is more interesting to them i guess
@Rexson29 I respect your opinion, but it would be really annoying if she appeared in every game. That makes her the main protagonist of the whole franchise. In which she's not and she never will be.
I am sure it will happen eventually it HAS to. We NEED a game for each of these assassins we will get it someday and need to actually see aya kill cleopatra so pissed they didn’t in origins.
People do realise that because of origins it is impossible for Ilya i or wei yu to be assassins in any sense of the word as they won’t be created until AFTER the main game of origins which timeline wise takes place after the death of Alexander and the first emperor of china.
Well then darius doesn't exist? Assasins exist since the ISU extinct, or when Adam and Eve escaped from ISU, but they just not called Assasin's Creed, nor Hidden Ones, they are all just mercenaries under the ideals of freedom, the shadow of Order that the Order of the Ancient bring
@@ariramadhan6362 uh no there not. There just individuals, Hidden ones are the assassins anyways. If those assassins are also let says mercenaries then fine but unless they just retcon origins they can’t be assassins period.

@@oreoolafgaming3756 You're objectively wrong. Black Flag and Origins are among the best AC games in the entire saga, easily top 5 or 3
@@alejandrocastillolopez6268 Black Flag is a great game to play, but it lacked the elaborate world building that AC2 and Brotherhood had. For me, the biggest excitement was the idea of the entire world ending, and Desmond was only one capable of stopping it. If Black Flag was just released as a pirate game, people still would have loved it. Origins for me, was also a great game, but I didn't understand the story outside of the animus. Probably one of my favorites, but it lacked the story and emotion of AC 2. Plus Bayek was just a refined Ezio
@@connorfrederixon7508 Black Flag lacked that world building feel because it was in such a small part of history and geographical region by comparison to previous games. The Caribbean and the last years of the Golden Age of Piracy.
In the ac universe this could be translated to him discovering he is either a direct descendant of Zeus (aka Jupiter as he’s mostly been known in AC), or upon discovering he is a tainted one and discovers the knowledge in the Isu temple he misinterprets him being a tainted one as implying that he is a descendant of Zeus.
i am mongolian and when i played the game first time i was honestly was really suprised.Mongolian assassin and i thought Assassin's creed about mongolian assassin would very interesting.

This was a fantastic deep dive, and a wonderful stroll down hidden-blade-memory lane. Thank you!
having these today would be so cool,
Imagine the Frye twins(since they are the most modern ones) learning all the previous assasins and getting a collectible or some sorts of them
Thank you for this content!
Black Flag the best AC game though lol
Black flag def a worthwhile experience
Honestly expected a "eyyy, wassa matter with you altair?" there
Really liked this video, since Amunet/Ava has been in a game, you meet Darius in the dlc for Odyssey, I'd be quite happy with games on Qulan Gal, Iltani and Leonius. Maybe one on Wei Yu depending on how much he is in Jade and if we ever get a port of it.
We do play as Leonidas in the opening to Assassin's creed Odyssey.
Leonidas isn’t the same as leonius
I wish there was a Japanese assassins creed but I guess China would be the next best thing because Ubisoft said they don’t plan on it, ghost of Tsushima is literally like a assassins creed game but with Samurai I def suggest it

Couldn’t reference the Roman brotherhood bc it didn’t exist during the conquest of Alexander the hidden ones weren’t created yet either for a couple hundred years
So many of these sound so much better than the story we got with Basim
Especially if they went with using another new main character that they could have gone with before basim was a thing
It would be a great link to go into Origins though.
You're a literal king by explaining these in very detailed. Thank you!
If Qulan Gal has a statue because he was instrumental in killing Gengas Khan, then why doesn't Altair's son have one?
in-universe answer - Qulan Gal got the credit, not surprising given Altair and his family went into hiding for decades after returning from Mongolia
real answer - that was a retcon from when Secret Crusade was written
Ah, what a game... It reminds me of my adolescence when the main problem was coming home from school and spending 4 hours on the PS3 in the afternoon. I still remember when I went to pick up my copy at Gamestop since I had pre-ordered it months before. I still have it, I have them all... Sooner or later I'll take out the PS3 and play it again.
Still better gameplay than the newer Assassins Creeds.
The Ezio games were in a different league of storytelling and immersiveness that modern AC games wish they had.
@@mro4ts457 The trailer with the music "Genesis" and Ezio launching himself from the Palazzo Ducale in Venice with a double assassination... Poetry.
I have said for years that AC should make games surrounding all of these assassins
ac lore will always be captivating
in previous entries Darus was Persian like a Hassan-i Sabbah- that's mean his signature weapon started as part of legacy only for Assassin's from AC1.
These people is who every game after Syndicate should’ve been about!!
Whether it was planned or not, seeing Amunet and Darius was a double take moment for me, especially how recent it's been since I played the games. I definitely want to find the time to start a full AC playthough re-run again. Great video!
thats what im thinking of doing.
since i plan to get all the games again but on PC where i play now, which would allow me to pay allt hose i missed, and finish syndacate,
the problem is, how do you play them....
Release order? AC 1 to Mirage, or Shadows when it comes out.
Chronilogically (Modern Day story) .....frankly ive no clue which game starts and ends the modern day narrative.
Chronilogically (Historical) Valhalla to Syndicate.
thought about it for awhile, just rather grab the games as they go on sale often on steam.
@@TheFallinhalo funny enough, I started an AC2 replay the other day. Actually paused the game to reply to this haha.
Is say release order, but that’s just me
When I was a kid, and I saw this, i thought for sure these Assassins were gonna be apart of new games. I also semt ubisoft a letter when I was 10 saying they should make a game in Egypt and when origins came out i was stoked and it brought back memories. AC will always be an iconic game for me.
Awesome Video! Fantastic job explaining the backgrounds of each character and even changing the music related to their culture. Well done
Who else would love to see a game on all of them?
Probably coming soon
Hopefully its a mobile game where you have to pay real money to open boxes where they might be inside to unlock, but youll need to open a lot to get them all.
Wow, imagine if ubisoft followed the origin story
its crazy that they slowly casted every assassin among these in some of the game and books like wei yu in recent codename jade, aya as amunet from ac origins, darius from odyssey and etc. The babylonian is left so maybe we could get a game se during the time of alexander the great.
Oddly enough, I am interested in Leonius the most. I would imagine his game would be the least amount of violence with a lot more politics involved
Would love games centered around these characters
Leonius is the assassin everyone wants to play
If only we could have a game with him in ancient rome 🙏
Iconic moment is Ezio’s first assassination.
Bayek should have a statue, too. He got the idea of creating the Hidden Ones Order after all.
He literally says to forget his name. He never wanted to be a name anyone remembered.
He’s such a good hidden one that he intentionally remained anonymous…but the same cannot be said about aya
This one i want to see
I believe the statues were going to be potential Assassins Creed sequel characters but you can meet them in their respective historic positions.
Always wanted a video about the history of these statues
That is an exciting video! Well done!
Amunet is one of my favourite assassin’s mostly cuz I love Bayek and origin’s. Great video btw ❤
I don’t care that an assassins creed game about Qulan gal would just be ghost of tsunami it would be cool!
I literally forget about that statue, thank u, I really wanted to know them when I was playing ac brotherhood
Even though we've spent a lot of time in Italy, i think we need a game during the Roman empire and Leonius could be the perfect opportunity for that.
I am currently playing ac 2 for the first time and I was wondering the stories of each statues. Thanks man.
I started playing some time ago, AC2 is a wonderful game. I am currently on Brotherhood and obsessed with it 😀
To say that Ubisoft had it all planned since AC2 is like saying George Lucas had the entire Clone Wars planned since name dropping it in A New Hope. Occam's Razor says they came up with the names and then weaved them into the story as the sequels rolled out.
This video should have been made like 10 years ago but thank you
True, I haven't really seen a video explaining these statues in depth. I've seen 1 but it was about 4 minutes long
In my opinion, IF Altair would’ve gotten as many installments as Ezio it would’ve been able to cover all the story content from his life that we missed including his connections & time spent working with these master assassin’s that we weren’t able to explore.
Honestly i feel like all these Assassins could have their own games but after what happened to Darius i dont know if i trust them to do it anymore
The fact amunet(aya) got a statue for her single indirect assassination instead of bayek basically destroying the order himself is a crime
Leonius that's a game I'd love to explore further
Now that we’ve explored most of myth and god-like power, we need the game for all legendary assassins
I really want a Mongolian Assassin's Creed game with Qulan Gal
The Music alone would add hype more than the Shanties and Norse songs we've already had Lol
I recall hearing Ubisoft saying the Infinity platform will allow for more linear & short form stories will older characters from the franchise....
We can hope!
It would be cool if you were to cover the Assassin's Creed Novelizations at some point!
Maybe when I finish the remaining ones I have left
they really should make one in rome during roman times
imagine legionaires marching through the streets , the parkour would be amazing, the landscape would be crazy, the potential for plots is also huge as plotting was basicly the national sport of romans
you could find slaves germanics old legionaires and other undesirables in the assassins guild
I think Bayek deserved the statue more
Mario really went from plumber to assassin.
Bad Guys
A secret order throwing the world into chaos could be corrupt Roman officals which would have plenty of material to draw off of real life. We really havent seen the assassins/hidden ones lose their influence on an area so itd make for a fresh twist on the formula (from my knowledge)

It would be awesome a assassins creed in Japan with samurai and shit get to work alongside a shogunate or assassinate one like some ronin that got kicked out of samurai class

I guess that makes sense they just threw away all the backstory, as they threw away the whole franchise recently 💀
So out of the 7 of them, 4 get a mainline entry.
Altair, obviously the 1st game and Revelations
Wei Yu, AC Jade
Darius, AC Odyssey
Amunet, AC Origins
The other 3 are basically either finished through other media or have yet to be made.
12:22 This would likely be impossible because Alexander the Great died 400 years before the events of AC origins
Great video! where do you get your information from? I have been trying to find reliable sources or even books that explain the lore in detail. Are there any books out there that you recommend, or comics dedicated to the AC lore? (Other than playing the games)
I think Altaïr should get his own game ngl
Huh????😂😂😂
