I swapped a 8.1 in my 84 and was looking to get some temp gauges in her. Thank you sir for the info I'm heading over to amazon now 🤘🏽 I want oil psi and water temp
@@krustyclassicsgarage oh dang. That I’m not sure of. I don’t think that was something they asked me when they programmed the ECU to cancel vats. To be honest I couldn’t find the connector on the harness. I looked at both the drivers and passengers side harness all the way back to the rear o2 sensors and I didn’t find anything I could plug into the 4l60e VSS. Do you recall which side of the harness I would find it?
@Fahrenheit_Motorsports ya. You typically have to send them a message and ask them to program it in. I never do though. The plug is loomed with the big circular main harness plug that plugs into the side of the transmission
I hear the corvette ECU OS reads oil pressure. Don't know if that's true. I believe that's the 12587603 OS (P59), so anything running that should be able to be setup for it.
@@frankmartin5483 Yeah, you can kind of just do whatever. With the right tuning software, these things would be great standalones. Just a custom crank trigger wheel.
@@knoxbros I run a mechanical gauge to the spot where the factory oil sending unit goes. You just need an adapter which you can get on Amazon then hook up the gauge just like you would on an old school engine
@krustyclassicsgarage thank you so much. I'm not sure why, but I was all confused. lol, I know what I'll be doing this weekend. I'm ready to burn some fuel and do some miles. Thank u again. I just subscribe to your channel. If I do a small video of the installation, Im going to give u a shout-out 🤘🏽
Man I just found your videos. I like how you show how to do smaller budget LS swaps. Btw I’m a fan of the LS swapped Cuda.

does the tablet and or bluetooth thing need wifi or just the tablet or neither
Tell me if you know I'm asking the same thing
I know
Does the VSS need to be connected via the harness to read vehicle speed?
Yes but if the ecu isn't set up for your rear gear it won't read correctly

im reading oil pressure on my 411 pcm had to wire it in and cut it on with hptuners

Where the heck are you getting the voltage gauge from. I cant find it in any of the lists.
LS engine in la are $ 25 on up to 4 G
It would be dope if there was a touch screen radio compatible with it fr
Is there a way to get oil pressure to read on there through the pcm?
11.00 min in
Would that suction cup fit on the oe gauge face? Thats what im thinking of doing with mine.
I tried it. It wouldn't stick to the plastic cover over the factory gauge.
@@krustyclassicsgarage dang. I'm gonna think of something. I'll let you know what I find.
Hey i have a question how are you reading trans temp
Where does the ecm get the temp signal from
@@macdaddy887 the computer
Hey so when I look for obd fusion … it’s not an app anymore ? Does that sound right any other you recommend I already bought the veep thing
What do you do for fuel level display
So every time you start the car you have to click through all that just to see the gauges?
You just hit connect, then hit dashboard and the gauges pop up.
@@krustyclassicsgarage that's not bad, way cheaper than the Holley! Love that Camaro wrap and the vega wagon!
@@Trikekid84 Thanks. Just posted the first part of the swap on that vega wagon. I don't like it as much anymore now... lol
What are you using now?
Nice it read everything but oil pressure
How do I download the trans temp gauge to users pids
Go to user defined pids, and it should give you a "GM" option. Click on it and scroll down.
Lol shit I commented to early back to manual gauges lol. When u were goin through the download options it said engine oil pressure does that not work?
No as no swap harness has an oil pressure sensor plug as the ecu doesn't need it or use it
@@krustyclassicsgarage do u have a video of hooking up your oil psi? Or can point me to where I would run sensor.
