The well-made ones scratch a lot of gaming itches that I have: good JRPG style stories, good hand drawn graphics, collecting characters, and... as much as I dislike admitting it... the gambling / RNG aspects add excitement to the games. There are also some personal reasons why I love android JRPGs, but I hesitate to share them, because it might be too much information, and it might bore some readers, and I don't think anyone would care. So I will just end my message here. Thank you again for making these videos. I really like your channel, and I wish you much success with it.
I'm currently thinking about getting one used for a decent price (for my country at least) but it's STILL pretty expensive... Worth 3500SEK/€304/$328/£260? I'm currently on a 351P, which I've been (and still am) very happy with, but it's obviously VERY underpowered so want to upgrade to be able to play up to Switch. How are the ergonomics when using the D-pad (I'm a sucker for 2D-stuff so a good D-pad is important to me)?

What bogs down the steam deck is steam. I know right? Controversial. Its because steams big picture mode employs the use of chromium embedded framework which is like having several tabs of chrome open at once while doing literally f-ing nothing. It annoys me when the onscreen keyboard would just crash because that too is essentially another browser window with slow (possibly swiftshader) jank. My steamdeck crashes out because steam itself sucks hard. Its upsetting because I generally like the steam deck, there are faster html/css engines like electron that would literally fix all aforementioned issues. I will likely replace my steam deck for an oled steam deck and move over to tumbleweed once kernel 7 (or the next stable kernel version is released) and has most of the support baked into it with me having to dance around things like pulse audio being quiet.
