We tend to forget the fact that sacrificing an animal is an EXTREMELY unpleasant thing. Nobody in their right mind would want to kill an animal with their own hands. Slaughtering a goat or a sheep is a traumatic experience. It's a punishment. And let's not forget that the people back then raised their own animals. They KNEW these animals and probably loved them. Killing them with their own hands or even just giving them up to be sacrificed must have hurt them. It's not a pleasant thing to kill a living thing. It screams and thrushes and tries to escape. And it makes us realise the seriousness of our actions. Sin is a serious offend, and it MUST be repayed.

To stay in a constant state of grace a catholic must adhere to the sacraments, thus a person needs to go to confession when sin occurs. For the Protestant the answer is no. Baptism for the Protestant is an outward sign of obedience that Jesus is Lord of your life.

Factory farms are pure nightmare fuel if you spend even a small amount of research on them. That’s how you get the food on your plate, most likely. Through making an animal, which is often nearly (perhaps even more) intelligent as your average person, suffer horrendously to put meat on your plate. Even plants and grass can communicate with each other. That smell of a freshly cut lawn is actually your grass sending out a massive distress signal and cry for help to other grass in the area. Even eating your salad is very arguably killing a living creature, which is likely far more intelligent than we give credit for. Yet we do it so…..callously. So far removed from the process we assume ignorance is bliss as let it evolve into something totally cruel. Last year I had my first hunting season and got a deer. I shot it straight through the lungs with a .270 and it ran about 50 feet before it fell over and died. I remember every detail of that because even if the process itself was somewhat easy, the impact made me think. I took a life, even if to provide food. The venison made delicious meals for us, cheaper and vastly healthier meals for our dogs that they absolutely loved, and saved me probably at least $200 worth of meat on my grocery bill. I knew that the deer lived its best life in nature prior to me giving it a swift and humane end. I don’t even like getting into it. The sacrifice God tells us to commit in the Old Testament is a stark reminder of that. Of our place in the circle of life and flow of nature. Remember who this animal was, the life it lived, the joy it brought, and the sacrifice it made so that it may nourish us. That we play a piece in a much, much bigger role and cycle of living creatures.

Jesus clearly says in the Lord's prayer to pray to his Father for forgiveness of sin - "forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us."
The wording of the Lord's prayer looks like a new Covenant with God. Under the new Covenant we promise that we will do God’s will (Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven.) This in effect restores the dominion of God on earth.
Even a Christian cannot brush aside the worship of Jehovah as God. In Revelation 1:5 the Son of God called himself "Jesus Christ, 'The Faithful Witness.'" When on earth as a man he was a Jew, an Israelite, to whose nation the words of Isaiah 43;10 were written: "'You are my witnesses, 'is the utterance of Jehovah, even my Son whom I have chosen.'" Jesus demonstrated that he was a faithful and true witness of Jehovah God. His genuine disciple today must be the same kind of witnesses, Jehovah's.
It's because most of us have never had to kill another person. In the past I believe the lamb provided perfect witness to those that wish to be forgiven in the eyes of the innocent in front of the Lord. And that is why some angels have lamb faces and bull faces.

Jesus also said on several occasions He came to give His life as a sacrifice, and the sacrifices of some of the prophets are stated in the Scriptures. You pretty much said the whole Bible is false.
