I'm a new Muslim, a woman of 64 years. Embraced islam on 21 April 2023 in UK. I was initially a Hindu and later turned an Agnostic. All praise belong to the true and only one Majesty of the all creations and sustained. I've read new testament as well old testament before studying Qoran. What I've found that the real scripture of Bible in Aramaic does not exist. Hence the translation from aramaic to Latin cant be authenticated. And english translation from latin remains full of doubts. For instance the name Jesus is a translated name and not the real name. Jesus the god even looks european man with blonde hair and blue eyes while we know he was a middle eastern dark skinned man. So from skin colour to mist of the verses have been riddled with corruption. While Qoran is preserved in original language it was revealed which is in Arabic till date.

I shifted to Unitarian Christianity in the past six months and never believed I would ever have the reverence for Islam that I do today. I'm beginning to think Islam might be closer to the original Biblical understanding of Jesus than most Christian churches are today. I'm impressed and want to know more. Jesus Christ is still at the center of my faith, but as mediator and not God. If you told me I'd be here a year ago I would have never believed it.
Get a look to "Jesus: Myths and Message" by Lisa Spray, she also presents Islam (meaning Submission to God). If Christianity created myths about Jesus, Traditional Islam did no better with Prophet Muhammad.
@@bakloulaya789 I can't speak for all Unitarians, but for me it's rejection of the Trinity. It's explicitly explained nowhere in scripture, yet considered a foundational salvation issue for the vast majority of Christians. I still consider the Bible the text I use to inform my faith. I no longer view the Bible as inerrant though. I consider it a historical document written by humans and not as a perfect text 100% crafted by God. I've spent years diligently studying scripture and the more I learn, the more I want to distance myself from mainstream Christianity. When I started seeing blatant forgeries in the text used to support Trinitarian views it set off alarm bells. Lately I've been reading the REV which is generally pretty good IMO. I don't believe there is a best translation. Step Bible with original language mappings is the best tool I'm aware of for seeing through translator bias. I'm relatively ignorant of Islam, but at the very least they maintain that there is one God, the God of Jesus Christ. To follow Jesus is to follow his lead in submission to the Father and not to prop up our Messiah into being equal with God like Christians do. Jesus is subordinate to the Father everywhere in scripture, even in his most exalted state.

Just to add from the materialistic point of view neurons in the brain are responsible for our thinking and reasoning processes. The only other part of the body where neurons are present are the spinal cord and the heart. Of course as Muslims we also believe when our brain are dead, the soul can still think and reason. Alternatively we can just view the verse as how the language is used idiomatically. Example "running a business" does not really mean to run or to walk but to manage.

@@bakloulaya789 I can't speak for all Unitarians, but for me it's rejection of the Trinity. It's explicitly explained nowhere in scripture, yet considered a foundational salvation issue for the vast majority of Christians. I still consider the Bible the text I use to inform my faith. I no longer view the Bible as inerrant though. I consider it a historical document written by humans and not as a perfect text 100% crafted by God. I've spent years diligently studying scripture and the more I learn, the more I want to distance myself from mainstream Christianity. When I started seeing blatant forgeries in the text used to support Trinitarian views it set off alarm bells. Lately I've been reading the REV which is generally pretty good IMO. I don't believe there is a best translation. Step Bible with original language mappings is the best tool I'm aware of for seeing through translator bias.
I'm relatively ignorant of Islam, but at the very least they maintain that there is one God, the God of Jesus Christ. To follow Jesus is to follow his lead in submission to the Father and not to prop up our Messiah into being equal with God like Christians do. Jesus is subordinate to the Father everywhere in scripture, even in his most exalted state.

Just to add from the materialistic point of view neurons in the brain are responsible for our thinking and reasoning processes. The only other part of the body where neurons are present are the spinal cord and the heart. Of course as Muslims we also believe when our brain are dead, the soul can still think and reason. Alternatively we can just view the verse as how the language is used idiomatically. Example "running a business" does not really mean to run or to walk but to manage.

It is written as ܐܠܗܐ (ʼĔlāhā) in Biblical Aramaic and ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ (ʼAlâhâ) in Syriac as used by the Assyrian Church, both meaning simply "God". And in Arabic Allah.

The Quran was originally written in Syriac Aramaic by Christians and was a collection of hyms and poems dedicated to Jesus. It was later rearranged in Arabic and in doing so, it changed some of the meanings of the text and other stories from Jewish sources were added. This leads me to believe that Muhammad and Islam in general is the antichrist which means “instead of Christ” as the name Muhammad(the praised one) was a title given to Jesus originally and was later given to the so called “prophet of Islam” by Abdul Malik. Only God is to be praised, and so the title “the praised one” given to a mere man is blasphemy.

12. (To his son came the command): "O Yahya! take hold of the Book with might": and We gave him Wisdom even as a youth,
13. And piety (for all creatures) as from Us, and purity: He was devout,
14. And kind to his parents, and he was not overbearing or rebellious.
15. So Peace on him the day he was born, the day that he dies, and the day that he will be raised up to life (again)!
16. Relate in the Book (the story of) Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place in the East.
17. She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent her our angel, and he appeared before her as a man in all respects.
18. She said: "I seek refuge from thee to (Allah) Most Gracious: (come not near) if thou dost fear Allah."
19. He said: "Nay, I am only a messenger from thy Lord, (to announce) to thee the gift of a holy son.
20. She said: "How shall I have a son, seeing that no man has touched me, and I am not unchaste?"
21. He said: "So (it will be): Thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: and (We wish) to appoint him as a Sign unto men and a Mercy from Us': It is a matter (so) decreed."
22. So she conceived him, and she retired with him to a remote place.
23. And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm-tree: She cried (in her anguish): "Ah! would that I had died before this! would that I had been a thing forgotten and out of sight!"
24. But (a voice) cried to her from beneath the (palm-tree): "Grieve not! for thy Lord hath provided a rivulet beneath thee;
25. "And shake towards thyself the trunk of the palm-tree: It will let fall fresh ripe dates upon thee.
26. "So eat and drink and cool (thine) eye. And if thou dost see any man, say, 'I have vowed a fast to (Allah) Most Gracious, and this day will I enter into not talk with any human being'"
27. At length she brought the (babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms). They said: "O Mary! truly an amazing thing hast thou brought!
28. "O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!"
29. But she pointed to the babe. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?"
30. He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah: He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet;
31. "And He hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live;
32. "(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable;
33. "So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)"!
34. Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute.
35. It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, "Be", and it is.
36. Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: Him therefore serve ye: this is a Way that is straight.
37. But the sects differ among themselves: and woe to the unbelievers because of the (coming) Judgment of a Momentous Day!
38. How plainly will they see and hear, the Day that they will appear before Us! but the unjust today are in error manifest!
39. But warn them of the Day of Distress, when the matter will be Xedetermined: for (behold,) they are negligent and they do not believe!
40. It is We Who will inherit the earth, and all beings thereon: to Us will they all be returned.
