A 3/4 angle wrench helped alot breaking free some of the hard to get lines, also that otc injector puller kit was worth it because it made it alot easier to get out and re install the crossover tubes out for someone who isn't experienced like me. Thanks for the video it helped me alot
This video was Badass Travis. Thanks for uploading! Glad your happy! Can’t wait til she turns out the way you want it. Thanks again for the awesome content!
Dude you did a fantastic job making this video.. I been searching for a good injector video for months.. none of them show you the entire process or at least all the good parts you actually wanna know, some talk to much, others skip important steps, others are terrible shaky and poor footage.. yours was spot on.. that’s all you need just show what they need to know and move on to the next step. I know how to do the job but I’m one of those guys where I’ll watch a bunch of videos on it first just to memorize what I need to do so I’m not to miss anything for my first time. I plan on doing an install video as well for my channel. Iv got a “pan-off” upgrade kit for the 47re as well from power driven diesel that I’ll be showing an install on .. we’re those SAC injectors? They were damn Smokey, I bought 150hp VCO as I was afraid of having too much smoke with the stick HX35.. iv got the juice with attitude + Hot Unlock.. can’t wait to Install these bad boys on Friday. Keep up the great work 👍🏻
Thanks brother! I do appreciate your kind words 🙏 I’m glad the video was able to help you. I was trying to film it as in depth as possible to be able to give people a helping hand when installing. Those were dynamite injectors from dynamite diesel performance. They’re super Smokey with the comp box on, they aren’t as bad when it’s not on. I’m also still running the stock hx35, i just plugged the waste gate. Gives her a little more boost
@@TheDogHousetv awesome buddy, no problem. Just be careful plugging the waste gate that you don’t over spool the turbo.. stock HX can only handle so many Rpms above 40-45psi before she likes to let go.. I plan to run mine at 40 or under till I get my new turbo
Oh i haven’t let mine eat 40psi yet, maybe 35-38psi.. but i honestly don’t really worry about the turbo itself. I worry about smoking my clutch giving her all that fuel & boosting that hard haha. I’d love to do compounds down the road
@@TheDogHousetv For sure, put one on mine best thing ever. Love the truck, still running my 02 gen 2 from the last time I talked to ya. These are great trucks!

You need to make a boat where you drive your dodge onto it then able to take the back drive line down and attach it to a fixed prop that will move around the boat
video was very easy to follow! just after the engine started running, my truck began to lope and heavy white smoke coming from my exhaust non stop, any ideas what it could be? I bleed the lines, re-installed the injectors, #4 wasn't being burnt but i made sure the injector sat properly, i didn't stack washers and used the new o rings, and if i try to put my truck in drive the truck dies
Truck has an airdog4g II, edge comp box, factory hx35 w/ the gate plugged. That’s really it currently. I am about to do a south bend dual disc though & would love a Dana 80 w/ disc brakes/LSD
do you happen to know if an hx35 can be swapped onto a 01 auto with the hy35? does everytning bolt right up and fit? just a simple swap? i’m doing injectors soon, i’d like to do 100’s but i’m afraid the hy35 ain’t gonna handle it and my egt’s gonna soar. was thinking about going to a junkyard or something and trying to find a hx35, plug the waste gate and put her in.
I haven’t really given the truck hell because i don’t feel confident in the current clutch, but EGTs stay pretty low as far as daily driving goes. Yes, Stock hx35, with the gate plugged.
Hay I think I have just stalk injectors but I'm not sure how would you tell if they were upgraded sometime before I owned the pick up??? Is there a simple way to determine what your injectors are ???
@@TheDogHousetv I dropped a cylinder head off to get flow tested. They told me it would be a few days. I called once a month for the next six months and they never even moved it from where I set it when I dropped it off when I showed up to take it home. I think they just have more work than manpower. Appreciate the reply.
Yeah dude i had a few bad experiences after they did my first CA engine work, I’m not sure if they’ve lost a few people who actually cared about their shop work, or like you said, under powered... it’s a mess in their shop, shit is everywhere, totally unorganized. i was given someone else’s crank, they caked our rock arm assembly hold down with RTV & not only re-used a 200k mile seal but it didn’t even seat properly cause they caked so much RTV that the assembly squeezed it out of the back cam plug seal. It’s a damn shame
@@survivalistor6195 she’s been amazing, strong runner, hasn’t let me down. Biggest issue in fighting right now is my steering, going to do third gen track bar & PSC box
You’re the first person to say that to me, everyone i know re-uses their cross over tubes on a 5.9 vp truck. You NEVER reuse the o rings.. Care to explain why they are “one time use” ?
Ahh okay, that makes sense, this is the first time I’ve heard of that explanation. I’ve done injectors in several 2 gen’s without any issues. I feel like a seating issue would occur if they weren’t properly installed or forced into place. The snap ensures that the tube has seated. Appreciate the advice
@@Kahlo69 This is not true. There was a service bulletin for the early 98.5's that had poor quality tubes that would distort and yes, those absolutely need to be replaced. the later models can be reused without issue if they are in good shape.

Hot Air Intake . Pop it out the hood man. Or back in the fender

does the hold bracket hava a 1/4 space on it as i cant get them flush with the other side the injecters are down all the way thanks for the help
If i remember correctly & you ensured you didn’t double the copper washer there will be a small gap yes.

Yes it sure can, it'll probably wake the truck up a little bit also with those injectors & the WG plugged.
Do you have to remove the fuel lines to do the job? I have the engine already out of the vehicles once I’m doing a F350 Fummins swap.

Do you recommend changing the valve cover gasket?
It wouldn’t hurt while you’re in there.
Nice video, that squeak might be your waterpump bearing.
Pull your belt off the pulley & give it a spin.
I’ll give it another check, I’ve relaxed the belt, harmonic balancer, idler/tensioner & still doesn’t shut up lol

I run a edge comp box programmer
I have a question I’m haveing trouble with getting my injector lines to seal any ideas I could try?
The main lines from the pump to the cross over tubes?

You're putting a new injectors so there's no point to keep track of where the tubes came from they're going into a new hole in the new injector
It’s good practice to do so. I take apart and lay out or label everything...
Never never never ever re-use the cross over tubes. Those are a one time use and you should always use brand new tubes.
