    If it’s a waist gated turbo you should tighten the waist gate. Usually they set them a little loose. The truck looks sweet tho!

    What do you have in regards to a transmission build? It sounds like it shifts pretty good.

    I bought a 99 last year. Pretty good deal grandpa/ranch truck, it's a white slt with tan leather, power everything even the overhead computer. It was the top of the line back then lol but only had 140k. I want to build it up pretty similar to yours. I also have a 2014 f250 with all the go fast parts but I gotta say while the Ford is fast as hell I enjoy that ol cummins more. It's just got a shift kit in the trans and a magtech extra capacity pan, I put a edge juice with attitude on it early this year, mainly for the gauges, I gotta tell ya I rarely see trans temps over 180 in traffic, usually around 170 driving. and I live in Texas.

    Thats normal for a 2nd gen to have steam coming out of the puke tube just about everyone does it. Don't worry about it all good.

    I like a clean second Gen Dodge Ram. But I bought the 4th Gen bumper your making me rethink if I want to go with the original bumper. I've got a vacuum leak and check engine light on but still I love my truck.
    I'm enjoying the video's

    Fleece makes some good equipment, but the Cheetah is not a good option. Had a Cheetah on my 1999 Dodge Cummins; changed it out for compounds (Borg Warner S475 over a Garrett G30). 125 HP injectors is good setup, using Scheid Diesel Lightening VP44, and Fleece Performance HD Street Performance 5.9L head with a Colt Cam (Big Stick #3) to improve torque output and lower EGTs with a straight pipe 4” exhaust. Bigger injectors will help with the boost. For tuning, keep the Smarty and stack it with an Edge Comp (hot unlock) Box. Great truck.

    Put those injectors in and it’ll go. You’re under fueled for that turbo

  • @andrewchan4434
    @andrewchan4434 ปีที่แล้ว

    You need to upgrade your LP and a build tranny before you destroy the VP44 and tranny. Also, that is not the way to test your blowby....with with oil cap unscrewed just lay it over the opening of the hole while truck is idling (if you have bad blowby, the old cap will act like a hot tea pot rattling).

      I’ve been thinking about it lol but it already has a Fass factory replacement. I’ve been doing some pulls and I look at the fuel pressure gauge I have, it never drops below 10 psi so I don’t think I really need to at this point🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @ChaosViper67
      @ChaosViper67 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@The02CumminsRAM You don't need it as in the injection pump isn't taken major damage but there is a gain to run more than 14psi. The VP44 will get 100% cooling and lubrication as the overflow valve will remain open. Coming from a Smarty to Quad ADR V2 will blow your mind. You'll want to keep the Smarty to recalibrate the ABS for your larger tires as I do, but trust me. Keep the Smarty to SW#2 with the all the revo settings to stock. Anything other than that, especially using the torque management revo setting or SW#5-9 will kill top end power. You will absolutely need at least a 100gph lift pump with 1/2" fuel lines and high flow elbows to keep up with the demand from the Quad. Also on an aggressive pump tap tune don't gun the throttle and let off all the way. If you do since the tuner flows so much it will run the fuel lines dry and you'll need to crack and bleed 2 or 3 lines. Keep a 3/4" wrench in the cab.
