I thought… why not just build a stacked terminus platform like To Kwa Wan station, but turn back style. This way, the number of trains going to Whampoa could be increase to two thirds the ration and not just one half. Sometimes hong kongers can’t stand even 7 minutes between trains.
Because there is only like 300-400m to the shoreline from Whampoa Station, definitely not enough to build a turnback track. Besides, Whampoa isn't that busy compared to another termini, so the current arrangement is sufficient enough.
