Why can't I reach my fill pressure? What's wrong? GX CS2 CS3 Small portable compressors 12VDC

- I get this question so often I decided to give it its own video. Join me in the Yong Heng Hot Rod Shop and let's explore this pretty common issue with all low output portable compressors. Here's a tidbit for you, it happens on much larger compressors too, but most don't notice as the pump puts out so much air that the operator does not even notice the leak! I wonder how many kilowatts are wasted annually due to lostd air pressure? Hmmmm, makes a guy ponder...

Your supplier should hear what a valuable asset you are. I was afraid to buy a pump because i heard there are no parts to fix them. After seeing your excellent instructional videos and parts suppies, it made GX the clear choice. I ordered one yesterday. Thanks
Thank you!
Last video I watched your Yong Heng model was taking a day off. I'm glad she is back to work.
Lol!
Patiently waiting for you to upload the file mentioned in the video. Thanks Bill.
Patience rewarded!
@@TargetForge Thank You, I was watching the premier of this episode and got excited to see understandable instructions and tips. Rushed to the website...

Howdy sir. David here.
Got the CS3 model. Sprayed the Dish soap & Isopropyl Alcohol mix at the locations you shared. No leaks.
In your vid, you point to the OCV (Outlet Check Valve), located at the bottom of the CS2 model.
Is the OCV the same as the Burst Disk, on the CS3 model, or, is it the unmarked (on mine) nut, at the bottom, behind the Burst Disk?
Presuming it's not the Safety Valve, up on top of the CS3 model...(?) Thanx, David
Hello David, you might consider booking a session with me on the Target Forge website. I can offer expert advice in a more interactive manner and you will come away with enhanced understanding of your machine. They are NOT the same. The outlet check valve is opposite the high pressure cylinder bore. Thank you for your comment!
Thanks!

My first SUPER THANKS! ✅
Thank you!
What do I need to replace, the pressure valve relief screw always leak? Please advice
Probably just needs to be taken apart and cleaned well.
@@TheDIYMaker1 Does it has an oring or nylon washer inside the port of the pressure relief screw? The leak starts to blow (leaks) out when the pressure buildup is about 10 -20 bar while pumping air to rifle
@@TheDIYMaker1 According to the drawing, it looks like there is a film (Explosion proof film, Item #24 of the drawing. Do you have this for sale?
@@happyplinking4354 Yes, right on the target forge website! targetforge.net/shop/ols/products/burst-disk-cs23
@@happyplinking4354 To clarify it is a stainless steel shim.
Where can I get a power switch for my gx cs2? It's the switch on the back of the Compressor.
I should have them back in stock shortly.
Would you use a cs2 to top off a small bottle from say 300bar, to 310bar or 4500psi? Just strictly as a top off from another compressor fill that isn’t capable of 4500psi fills.
Personally? No. I would use it to fill the gun directly. If it's a 1ltr or smaller, you'll probably be fine just mind the 20 min run time.
🤔 just what everyone should do spray soap & water on running electrical equipment !
That's not the electrical part there Timmy. Get back behind the parts counter...
Exactly what a real tech would say to an obnoxious parts person...
@@TargetForge
Ya get the mother board wet ! That will work out great for you !
@@mary0224 Why would you look for leaks in the electronics? That's just stupid. The air lines are located well away from anything electrical. It would help if you knew what you were talking about.
Thanks!
